UPS Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of UPS is marred by significant concerns regarding service reliability and customer support. Many customers report frequent delays in package delivery, errors in shipping, and inadequate responsiveness from customer service representatives. Complaints highlight issues with lost packages, unfulfilled delivery promises, and a lack of accountability, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. While some customers acknowledge the company's long-standing presence in the industry, the prevailing sentiment is overwhelmingly negative, with calls for improved communication and service efficiency. This feedback suggests that UPS must urgently address operational shortcomings to restore customer trust and satisfaction.

Self defense
August 3, 2022

My son was a driver for ups. He was assualted by a customer, and defended himself. The police were called and determined it was self defense. He was fired that same day. So much for the union. What a joke.

Get out!
August 2, 2022

The worst place to work... a lot of people don't believe me but if you want to try it out go ahead and then you'll see how toxic it is, the pay is extremely low... they cut out pay and they don't provide you with any PPE. If you don't kiss the butts of management then you'll be taken advantage of.

You order and you wait and they say they delivered. But they never come. There to lazy to come up in elevator. So then you get charged for packages you never get. It always comes back to you what you put out there. One day they will be gone hopefully soon.

Company from Hell
August 2, 2022

If I could give a zero star rating, that is what I would give UPS. There is not one single customer service telephone number that actually has a human being on the other end of the phone; there is not even a human being at the corporate office who answers the telephone. One current order, a driver(s) has supposedly attempted to deliver a package to me twice in the last two days and I get a message that there is something wrong with the address. No, there is nothing wrong with the address! There is apparently something wrong with employees at UPS that they cannot locate an address that actually exists. Another current order handled by UPS and USPS, via email, states my package was delivered to a locker but exactly where is that locker? Oh, but I am unable to discuss these issues with a UPS employee to give them exact location of my address since they are unable to locate it themselves. I have told Amazon to not use UPS for any of my orders, period. I have not sent anything by UPS for years because of the terrible service. Why does this company still exist?

The package is delivered on a different date as mentioned in the email and on not being able to receive the package that day, they didn't even wait for a day and returned the package back to the shipper. I have been waiting for this laptop for over a month and won't be getting it for another month but now i am forced to reorder it. Customer care doesn't have answers to questios, the website is giving misleading information. Not happy

The primary take-away from this review is the fact that UPS will send you on a endless journey of red tape before even allowing the sender of a UPS parcel to file a claim for loss. Unless you hire a lawyer at considerable expense, there is no rational mechanism at UPS to reimburse a customer for a lost parcel. If you forward a parcel with UPS, it must be understood that the sender must be prepared to suffer the loss of that parcel without any viable compensation from UPS. In other words, it is recommended you use another courier service if your parcel is of any monetary value.

Stupid fees!
July 31, 2022

I have just received an import fee of £200 seriously? For an item worth almost that? How can you get £200 from that? What exactly do you do apart from put the parcel on a container and send it? That goes towards our greedy government you can't justify £200 tax especially for what I bought and what it's worth! USPS charge me about £60 for items worth more! Why has UPS charged me £200? This is crazy! Especially with inflation us poor people stand no chance in this world against these greedy companies and government this is not fair at all! This is bad!

Never on time

Many product orders online are contracted by sellers to be delivered by ups. Unfortunately ups continues to fail to deliver on time, fail to handle properly, and fail to allow customers to track the order.Ups sucks

I live in a 9 unit building. There is a front door with a call box on it that goes straight to my cell phone, and we have a private entrance with a door bell.
I was outside and saw the UPS truck.
I looked at my phone to see if the driver called. No…. So the package must be for somebody else.
The driver did not call he just slapped up a pickup notice, which I discovered on the front door of our building when I went to our mailbox later in the day. In other words the driver made no attempt to contact and deliver.
No wonder UPS rates so low.
When I pickup my package ( a 10 minute drive to the depot.) I thought I would mention this substandard service. They gave me a number to call.
The 1-800 number had many options, but none for feed back on service. I did eventually get transferred to an agent, with a choice to "press 1 for a call back or 2 to stay on the line". I pressed 1. A short time later I got a robo call with the option of pressing 1 to talk to an agent or pressing 2 to cancel the call.
Of course I pressed 1. Maybe I pressed it to fast because it was not "heard", I so I pressed and held the 1 button the very next time I was given that option. No response! Then I pressed 1 numerous times, but with the same results. The nice sounding robot then told me the date and time of my next call.
Your "service" sucks UPS.
I will now use any other service, but yours.

PS
Just got another call back. The robot told me it could not "hear" my button pushes. …. So it cancelled my call back.

Your actual rating is a "ZERO" UPS!
You need to correct these problems, or expect your business to decline.

Enough said on delivering this little box of N95 masks.

Worse courier service in the history of mankind. Customer service is about the same. Drivers have zero interest in doing their jobs. Packages have been lost yet logged in tracking as delivered. Customer service is full of lip service with no one resolving these and similar issues. When problems are escalated to local managers, they are arrogant (quick to tell you that they're in management), then continue the UPS pattern of chaos. Corporate Customer Relations is equally as useless with lots of broken promises then email non-responsiveness. Silence. They would be just as effective if they all quit. Also, it is difficult to file a claim to get reimbursed for these "lost" packages that continuously vanish into thin air. After all of their ineptness, why would they make it difficult for you to get your money back for services you paid for that were not rendered? No integrity. Zero. UPS, please go away. Trust me, we wouldn't notice.

Could be the worst company I've ever dealt with. I ordered a $200 item from the US to Canada and paid $46 for shipping. When the item arrived I was told that there was an additional $107 brokerage fee for them to give it to me. The fee breaks down to $27 HST (customs tax) and then the remaining free ($80) is pocketed by UPS, in addition to the shipping fee that they were originally paid. That an additional 32%. I have no idea how this is legal.

I've been told that there is a way around this where you 'self clear' your package though CBSA, which I can now trying to do. However UPS needs to send you a commercial invoice to proceed. I've called and spoken on the phone with four different ups employees in the last day or so, the first two said that would be emailed to me in 2 hours, and the other two employees said it takes 24hrs. To send an email... It's now been well over 24 hrs and I'm still waiting. I've emailed several times as well.

This is crazy and UPS is really asking for another class action lawsuit.

I shipped a package with UPS that I insured. The package arrived damaged and broken. UPS at first approved the claim, then two weeks later changed their mind and refused to pay on the claim. Dealing with their website is a time consuming night mare. It looks like they set it up that way to frustrate customers with complaints. I will not ship with UPS again... EVER

Don't trust UPS
July 28, 2022

UPS said they delivered a package at my front door on 7/27/2022 that was a $1,200 iPhone. I have security cameras at my front door that never showed UPS on property or anyone else. The driver either took the package for himself or delivered it at wrong address. Security cameras don't lie. UPS you have been busted.
