LIED to me!
Waited until the NIGHT BEFORE my move to say I couldn't have the UHaul. Apparently they won't let them out of region now and I'm moving across country This Weekend! They couldn't tell me this weeks ago when I talked to them? It's some big secret or something because even the local people couldn't figure out why they couldn't rent me the available equipment. Corporate LIED to me saying nothing was available. Took 5 people to finally learn why. Dishonest and horrible customer service people that were rude and unhelpful. I have an interview next week in my new city and I can't get another rental on short notice from anyone else! I have to come back at the end of the month to move my stuff out of storage now! I'm spreading the word like wildfire about this horrible experience. Just tell me in advance I can't take equipment across country and I can make other plans! Absolutely awful experience. As if moving wasn't stressful enough. Especially across country.

Uhaul is apparently incompetent at every location. This was the better of the worst. I had so many PROBLEMS: 1. Ordered the uhaul WEEKS in advance. Then go to my SCHEDULED location in BATON ROUGE to be told I didn't have a truck. Was giving no help…was told to call a line that brought me to 3 different locations around the U.S. where I finally got help to this location. Meanwhile I need to move to Austin in 24 hrs.
2. Finally moving and I get a blowout and a flat in the uhaul that looked like it never had maintenance before.
3. Now I'm being told I OWE charges for "not filling up the truck" when I got the truck was at E. Barely made it across the street to get gas.
Y'all are literally the worst company I've ever.

Uhaul canceled my reservation and gave me a bigger truck which they charged my an extra 400 dollars for. I was told I could drop it at any location and then told once I was at my location it would be an extra 1700 dollars. The customer service was absolutely horrible and was offered no solution. This company does not deserve anyone's business.

This company has the absolute worst customer service, consistently overbooks, and has horrible people that work there. Not only did they completely overbook my uhaul rental that I signed up for an entire month prior to my move they cancelled my reservation without telling me. When you call customer service you will either be transferred to another person a billion times or you will be hung up on. Worst experience I've ever had for moving and I highly don't recommend using their trucks.

Uhaul doesn't care

I was an employee of uhaul and unfortunately got to see the ugly side of uhauls "cover up politics". I was promised certain benefits "pay raise " and never received anything but excuses. Cou not get parts to make repairs and was dispatched to complete all of my work orders, my bosses work orders and then some. The Last straw was when I filed a sexual harassment complaint against my supervisor and and when my complaint was investigated I was given an ultimatum. Be quite, accept the situation or quit. Apparently this is standard operating procedure as I tried to take it further and was told no further action would be taken. So beware.

Uhaul called us 2 days before our move to tell us they didn't have any trucks available in the province. They said the nearest available truck was located in another country. We had booked the truck a month in advance. Uhaul is truly awful.

Long rant alert! I just want to say that I have had the worst experience with U-Haul this weekend. I should have know it was going to be a problem when the split my reservation and had me pick up the truck and car transport from two different locations. It was downhill from that point forward. Picked up truck on Friday and was not told the truck had a flat tire until I picked up the car transport the next day. ( tire did not look flat to my untrained eye). So the only good thing was that the second pick up location spotted that flat tired and pointed it out to me. Called and entered on website a roadside request after being sent to the main location in Tuscaloosa. Went home, waited over 3 hours for a company to come change the tire. The company that loaded my truck damaged my furniture, the unloaders where great and pointed out how the truck was loaded incorrectly and each damaged piece. Not using UHAUL again.

Tried to rent a 15' box truck for two days, was told they did not have a 2 day rental truck at the location I selected. They would not move a truck, expected me to pay the extra mileage. The location was further away from where I needed to use it. It was all their way, they couldn't care less about their customers. I told them to stick their truck...

I rented a truck for the move to my new house. Having moved several times throughout my life, I have used UHaul a lot.
I can honestly say that this experience with UHaul of Fredericksburg was the best experience yet!
The manager actually called me a few days before the move to make sure everything was in order. There was a problem and we discussed it and came to a mutual agreement that worked for us both.
I must say I was really grateful for the call but I was also pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and the customer oriented attitude of the entire staff. I was truly impressed and happy with the entire experience!

What a joke of a company. I reserved a 10 foot truck to move my Son. I flew in and we went to pick up the truck. When we go there they didn't have a truck and told me the reservation was moved to another location which was 50 minutes away. I called that location and they said they didn't have any trucks and to call the 800 number. I called the 800 number and they said they didn't have anything within a 50 mile radius. I was able to get a truck from Penske and it was about $100 cheaper for a one way move. Don't waste you time with this poorly run organization. I wasn't able to leave a review on the U-Haul site because my reservation was "cancelled".

5/25/2023. The day before my reservation Uhaul called me at 5 pm and told me they did not have the auto transporter for me. They told me the closest one was 77 miles away. I drove 77 miles and when I got there they said they did not have it ready and had to wait one more day, so I had to drive back another 77 miles home. I missed my plans to move across the country. Lost about $300 in hotel reservations, $360 in air fair to return to Phx, and moving help which luckily did not have to pay to cancel. Uhaul, how do you expect people to make plans to move across the country when you are so unreliable? I called Penske the following day and in 30 min I had what I needed. Still, I have to make new hotel reservations and buy another ticket. Uhaul, I guess our relationship ends here. Goodbye!

I made a reservation a month in advance to move out of state. They couldn't get my truck or trailer where it needed to be, I drove an hour away to get the trailer and what do you know they rented it out last night. They told me to be here first thing in the morning to get it. I'm here and the trailer isn't now they want me to drive another hour and a half to go to another location. My drive to my new place is 5 hours. Very bad customer service and scheduling.

Uhaul seems to think they can make up their own rules and charge your credit card whatever they feel without informing or authorization that's called theft noone ever picks up the phone your on hold forever. Their employees don't know uhauls policy but the manager of the rickville center ny uhaul expects you too then charges your credit card how she feels this is called theft

I was told in the winter months they double all their rental trucks and in the spring and summer they woud drop back down! Of course they didn't and they want 4,000 to move south! They have decided to keep this higher rate!

Uhaul is a horrible company

U haul is the worst company I have ever dealt with. My son rented a uhaul that I drove for them from Columbus Ohio to Kansas. The truck was stolen in Independence MO. U haul could care less. They found the truck 2 weeks after it was stolen with most of my sons' possessions gone. U haul offerer to wave the late return fee- what an insult. They wont call you back and could care less about their customers. I will never use them again. They know their trucks are easy to steal and they never call you back and make no attempt to make the trucks more difficult to steal. Do not use them- they dont deserve to stay in business

I rented a uhaul to move some things, left phone and IPad In truck accidently. When I went to get them, staff claimed they weren't there. I used my other phone to find my iPhone….it was on site. After arguing with staff, they produced only the phone. Unreal.

Hidden Charge
April 23, 2023

On 16th January 2023 we rented for office moving and returned to live agent in store on 17th January. I am surprised when I got email notification for parking citation charged on 18th Jan 2023@ 12:55 PM. We should not liable after returned the truck, but they charged. When I talked to local store manager and corporate office they can't give proper answer. So looks like it is a cheater company. They made money to cheat customers. Their money is not halal ( legal).

I ordered a truck for three days on 26th July 2023. I received an email back that stated two days. I phoned and corrected the order and they approved it. Two hours later, I received a call stating that they could not do two days, only one. One hour later, I received another call on my cell phone, this time saying they could not meet my requirement. Two hours later, yet another call, this time to state that they could not meet the order.

Today, I get a call saying they can do three days, and all is good. I asked them to confirm, and they apologized and confirmed they could definitely meet the dates. Just now I received a fifth call stating that they CANNOT meet my needs. I canceled.

I can only advise that you check your order carefully, every line and every word. If your order is greater than one day, I would advise that you ensure you verify in writing, at least twice.

I recently rented a truck from Uhaul. The Illinois Tollway Inadvertently charged both my I pass and u haul for two of the tolls I went through. I was able to get documentation from the tollway that the tolls had already been paid but Uhaul reused to refund me my money they charged to my credit card without authorization. I spent hours trying to get anyone on the phone with Uhaul, never received one return phone call that they promised they blamed it on a personel shortage. There was no personnel shortage for renting the truck! Beware of this company when you need customer service there is none!

These companies or the people that work at this place should not have a job. I am talking the one at ******* HWY 9 Alpharetta. The only mistake we did was not letting them know the van dirty, I get that. However, they can charge you whatever they want, and not credit for the extra gas we put in! WTF?! They DO NOT deserve any stars!
