Clay is a super manager/owner and he is always so helpful. When we lost our house he helped us with a truck to move our belongings. This time we needed to rent a tow buggy for an automobile, again he was helpful and very informative. He has a beautiful co-worker by the name of Lucy Lou. She greets you and loves you the whole time you are there, she makes the experience so special. Lucy Lou is a beautiful female great dane and she is so gentle and so well behaved. My husband and I would not have missed her or the experience with our local uhaul for anything. Clay is a super person... Thank you for our experience.
U-Haul will not guarantee that their trailers and trucks will not leak water. I pulled their small trailer in the rain. The trailer allowed rain water into the trailer and damaged belongings that were at the bottoms of the boxes…that part that sat in rain water. U-Haul and their insurer would not cover any of the damages to our belongings. RENTERS BEWARE THAT YOU ARE TAKING RISK TO RENT FROM U-HAUL.
No stars, I made a reservation for a size 15 truck, when I went to pick it up there was only a size 10 truck, I called customer service, I spoke to more than 5 people and nobody solved anything, I kept my furniture on the street, why not there was no truck available. I need my money back.
This company uses $29.00 label on truck to scam customers. They aak you for debit card and freeze a larger amount on your card. By the time you return equipment they have schemed away to keep the majority of the froze amount after promoting a $29.00 rental truck. Thus company suck and need to be reported and sued in court.
Initially I made a reservation on the website for a U-Haul for July, it is currently April now, I thought there was plenty of time and I had a message that confirmed the order. I then get a call from the uhaul representative Who is very rushed and said that they could not accommodate my needs to rent the truck from Saturday through Monday because they are just too busy and don't have the availability of the trucks. I understand that there is lack of availability at times and that is not the main issue I had, the main issue was that the rushed representative acted like he literally could care less and said well we'll just cancel your order. I went to the budget rental website and was able to rent a truck there for the times needed. U-Haul should update their website so that when you put in a date range that does not have availability it will not let you make an order for the truck that way you can look elsewhere immediately before time runs out.
Never EVER use uhaul. They $#*!ed us in this move. We had a 26" truck and dollys reserved for the move for weeks. They called 2 days ago to tell me they don't have the truck or the dollys available but I can go to Gainesville (1.5 hrs away) to pick up if I want a truck that big. By the time I called back that truck was gone but they could give me a smaller truck. We had to secure a second smaller truck to make up the difference. We get there this morning and they don't $#*!ing have it. The guy before extended their rental and no one thought to check if it was reserved or not?! So now we had to scramble to find something else before our movers show up in 30 minutes. I'm leaving a negative review everywhere $#*!ing possible. Don't use them.
Don't bother to apply if you are a smoker or use any tobacco products.
They advise you to contact the American Cancer Society and The American Lung Association to quit and when you smoker free you can reply.

Disappointed how the clerk handled a situation. Yelling at me as I'm standing in line. Very unprofessional. Then I had to go back in and she's talking bad about me to her coworker. Again, unprofessional and immature. Customer is always right. And you shouldn't be yelling across the store
They changed three times my location. Even that date I supposed that I will have the truck in a location, however it wasn't. Then in the new location for the fast decreased from 3/4 to 1/2 I was charge with 85 dollars. I thought this company will be more professional. I was wrong
I went into the Vernon Odom store 4/05/2023 to inquire about renting a truck, was told that I would receive a link on 4/06/2023 and would be able to pick the truck up at 5:30 am on 4/06/2023. Well today is the day. This was an urgent matter. I never received the link and drove to the office hoping to receive the link or some kind assistance. Nothing at all was received. Is this supposed to be good customer service? I needed to rent this truck for a very urgent matter. Uhaul has really dropped the ball on customer service. Uhaul, you must do better.
Rented the trailer from Dunmore which was great. Agent told me to drop off in Swift Current prior and it indicated Swift Current on the app. What the company forgot to tell me was that u-haul location in Swift Current had just closed. 5 agents later (transferred from one department to the next) I finally found someone that could help me by adding the Swift Current location to the app so that I could return the trailer. U-Haul is a departmentalized company that is poorly equipped to deal with customer concerns. Ended up being overcharged for the trailer, but just left it at that as I would have had to be transferred to another department to dispute the charge. Avoid this company!
I hope i never have to deal with u-haul ever again. First the dolly and blanket were missing from back. I got all the way to my location and couldn't move the fridge because they were missing. Then i had to deal with customer service for an hour to get the money back. They never ended up making the adjustment. After returning the the vehicle the guy there checked the vehicle and returned the charge, and i paid for the adjusted amount. Then the day after returning vehicle, they double charged my account again. Had to call my credit card company to verify. They said before it posts i have to dispute through merchant. Chatted with uhaul and even provided account screen shots and he was useless. Did not charge the money back. Buy beware, wish i could give -5 stars. UHAUL is a terrible company and needs more competition!
Went to Ft walton beach for vacation. Car broke down, so I reserved a van for the week. Was informed when arriving that a can or truck could not be rented with an out of state license. So now, I am out $100 in Uber rides to pick up a van that they refused to release by stating a policy that you have to have an instate license, a policy that is not advertised on the reservation site and has been in effect since February? Since that area is also a military area, what about a serviceman whose homestate may be outside of Florida? What a joke! Terrible service! How can you enforce a policy that is not even advertised? And why is that even a policy in a tourist and military town? Makes absolutely no sense. My auto insurance goes beyond state lines and is a valid state license. Discrimination is what it is. Plain and simple. Should be able to select 0 stars.

I request him as the driver. I was unaware that he had an outstanding bill. I asked them to remove him as the driver and add me because I was not affiliated with the bill they refused to unless the bill was paid they tried to force me to pay someone else bill I felt was very unfair to me I was always in good standing with them as far as paying my bill, I refused to pay someone else bill.
Very poor service. Customer service is terrible. They tried to leave me high and dry yesterday. I made a reservation for a 26' truck 2 weeks prior to my moving day. They sent me to a dealer who had no trucks available. Called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do. I finally spoke to a manager who sent me an hour away for a truck. I am seriously considering sueing Uhaul for all the unkempt promises. Don't use Uhaul. Go to Penske instead.
Move from Tennessee to Texas.
Ordered a 15 foot truck like a month ahead, and what I got was a 26 foot (which was to large) this meant; at the pickup location I had to carry stuff 100 yards from 3 sheds, and at the drop off location the size of truck blocked entire Rd. So had to put ramp back and move truck and then back back in and start again every time a car came by (but hay, it was only 97 degrees). That is why I ordered a 15 foot truck!
My only option from U hall was to not take the 26 foot truck (which was not an option I was moving) or Uber 2 hours to get a 15 footer and drive back 2 hours lose 5 to6 houres time I did not have on moving day. I thought that was why I ordered way early so U hall would have the truck at my requested location.
Apparently this is U halls slandered practice; knowing when you are moving, the day you pick up) you have to take what they give you. U hall made my move much harder...Next time will use Penske!
We booked an appointment for installation of a hitch for a bike rack at the nearest UHAUL with a "hitch-man". Our appointment was confirmed for 10 a.m. by a manager email. We arrived early; three hours AFTER our appointment time (1 p.m.), our vehicle had not yet been serviced. Staffing shortages abound in this peri-COVID time, but there was no apology. The staff continued to state that our "car would be in within 30 minutes, 45 minutes, etc." We finally left and I called to let them know we'd left. The customer service rep actually hung up on me! Throughout the whole ordeal, I actually had the feeling that they were deliberately shuffling us to the back of the line--perhaps to accommodate friends, attractive women, etc... Do yourself a favor--if you need a hitch installed and live in the Southern Tier of NY, drive further afield and avoid the Elmira Heights UHAUL. You will be glad you did.
Toyota. Honda. Any Hatchback will fit. Can my car fit? Yes! Uhaul Storage 10x20x8 drive up storage can fit your car. A car can definitely fit in a 10 x 20 x 8 its the size of a one car garage with limited space surrounding the car. I probably should've taken a picture before I put anything inside the storage, but I did take a picture to give you guys an idea. I hope this helps anyone who's wondering.
Brakes stop working people could have been serious injured or worse this could have been your loved one's gone forever with no care from Uhaul. Suck on the road for going on 6 hours now with no help of course. Not to mention 3 kids under ages 8 also 3 dogs as well. Now they are telling me I need to pay a tow truck company that will cost me over 5k Uhaul told me they will only tow me 130 miles then you will have to figure out what to do from there wow 12:45 at night now then what selp in a parking lot. Lost for words then I've already paid $1300.00 for the rental. Not very happy
I got sent to three different locations to pick up my full reservation. The first location took 45 min to tell me they didn't have it. The second location only had the truck I reserved. The third had the trailer. They tried to charge me more than I was quoted. They offered no discount. They only asked me to not write a review in their location. I will not do business with Uhaul again. The owner of the second location says this happens 7-8 times a week. This company is a joke.

Answer: From my experience I've noticed uhaul only allows you to review the pickup and dropped location and generally where I am at least, those folks are great and helpful. The huge conglomerate running the show is at fault but there seems to be no way to easily review them specifically. They screwed me too and I wondered the same. Maybe some folks had a positive experience but I believe you are correct. Negative reviews are definitely being screened out. Sorry you had a crappy move too.
Answer: I did a complaint online and then called but with the same result, they couldn't find me in their system. I need to wait 24 to 72 hours for the manager to investigate.
