I needed urgent help for an upcoming exam, and without the Academic Counsellor giving me a 5 minute or a small demo to see how the program is, he just went on and on advertising the tutor service. I decided to see how "excellent" tutorvista is, and I looked here to see so many reviews that were negative. I let him know, and he unprofessionally accused TutorVista's competitors that they were writing negative reviews and they are all fake. Completely ridiculous, glad that I wasn't going to do business with these people.

I'm a first year College student having trouble with differential equations. I came across this website called tutorvista while I was looking up a problem on google. I had no idea of the option of taking tutions online. This was my first experience and I must say they left me much impressed. I've taken 3 classes so far. They have some pretty amazing features like preferred tutor using which I can connect to the same tutor every time. The tutors I got were all holders of MSc in Mathematics. Now I'm confident that I can clear my differential equations classes

Do not waste your money on their outrageous prices of "tutoring" or "help." I feel that it is definitely a scam business running, not intended to help students in need, but rather to get them to spend their money on something that doesn't fulfill its services. The tutors I've had were extremely rude and non-native English speakers. Their sentences could not be correctly comprehended nor could they explain in simple English what concepts were. The academic counselor I got linked was even worse. He said that I was the rude one because I was so unsatisfied with this service, but if you're trying to make money, you don't tell the consumer that they are rude. This "counselor" had the worst attitude ever and I will never be using their service again.

I don't understand why I should have to settle for a minimum of one star; they deserve "0' stars. This is a scam. Do not fall for their affiliations; they are just supporting the outsourcing of U.S. jobs. It is obvious from every review that we have all experienced the same poor service, language barrier and the "automatic renewal" that results in months worth of huge fees. They should be stopped. I will dispute all charges on a credit card and I would also contact the Better Business Bureau, but they are in India. Also, they offer a "guarantee." What is the definition of a guarantee? I would assume satisfaction and those are my rules. They can have their rules of a "no refund policy"; I have a rule that a guarantee means satisfaction guaranteed or I get my money back.

TutorVista has allowed me to have the help I need at my own convenience. If I was ever having trouble with my homework or needed help understanding a topic, the tutors were always willing to help. All the tutors are very friendly and they are always willing to lend you a helping hand and adjust their teaching to fit your learning style. The 24/7 access to the site made it so I could use the site at my own pace and address any problems I had immediately from the comfort of my own home. Overall, it has been a very pleasurable experience and I would highly recommend TutorVista's services to anyone.

My son, currently a high school junior in Texas, takes dual credit and AP courses. There are times that he needs extra help understanding more advanced math concepts. He is able to utilize the TutorVista site to gain that knowledge. It is not a site that just gives the student the answer. Instead, they work step-by-step from the proper formula down to the answer. The student is expected to contribute, to the point they're capable, throughout the process. My son has become more confident and scored higher on tests as a result of this guidance. This is not just a useful tool for upper level math courses. Help is available for multiple subjects at many levels. We greatly appreciate the awesome tutors at TutorVista and highly recommend them! I signed up for this service to help with my college calculus class. The kind that would normally be covered in AP Calc BC. After I signed up, the tutors were passive agressive and made stinging little jabs like, "kindly tell me which part you didn't understand," and then finally telling me, "please make this sure [sic] with another tutor as I am not much sure [sic] with this." Would never in a million years have paid for this service had I known it would be this bad.

I was trying to figure out a problem for my chemistry home work and this little chat box popped up saying I could have a free demo session. So I said yeah, sure why not? Maybe it could help... boy was I wrong! This person was very rude the entire time! I couldn't get all of the convo in the picture and he refused to give me his name in the beginning. What a waste of time, I will never be using this site again!

The tutor didn't know anything... about TRIGONOMETRY, I was explaining it to her. The guy I was talking to, John, wouldn't stop telling me why I should join. Offered me 1 a discount for 10%, then 5% and then 15%, but only if "you sign up right now." and he claimed that all the tutors have either masters or PHD's. But thats a load of crap. As I was talking, and trying to ask questions about the company, the guy got rude and only ever replied with pre-made responses, which is incredibly annoying. Ended up wasting an hour just for him to realize that I didn't want to sign up anymore because of the constant "sign up now and get a discount" or pre-made responses. Don't waste your time, spend your money on a real person who you can physically see and work with in person. Because they can't charge your card for extra months or hours that you didn't want.

First of all, let me point out the good things. The person talked to was kind, and provided me with info about the site, since it was my first experience on the site. However, he/she (can't remember) kept on talking about deals and all that stuff. For someone like me, I don't have money for each month/session. However, he/she asked me to save the link (which i did) and to call the toll free number. At first, they said that they would provide a free session, but I never got to it because I already solved the problem in the end. I would consider this site as helpful, but I'm not so sure.

I paid for 5 hours. The tutors are very slow and waste time. One problem took over 40 mins and the person regardless of my warnings refused to solve. They delay and ask many questions which was not helpful. A simple problem seriously over 40 mins. I constantly had to ask are you there? If one problem is more than 40 mins then how can this be worth it, Slow with no results, this is the worst service ever, when I pay for something I expect to get what I have paid for, and this is horrible, horrible, horrible, I constantly had to ask are you there from slow and no response, what nonsense,,,
