I tired a free trail with tutorvista.com and after free trail i signed up for 1 month plan. Tutors are really helpful and they offered me good discounts, before paying i was looking for reviews and found some negative feedback on here

My husband and I were not home when my 15 year old daughter used the demo service, but she saved the chat log for us. When it was requested that an adult get on the chat, my daughter informed them that we were at a business meeting. The rep kept pushing my daughter to call our cell phones and ask us to "hurry home". My daughter said she did not feel comfortable calling us during a meeting and that she would have my husband or I call their customer service upon our return. They then told her ( more than once) to call us and ask for our credit card information. They told her that she is authorized to pay for the subscription herself as long she has our credit card number and security code. Why would they encourage my daughter to do something like that? Luckily my daughter was smart enough to screenshot the chat and then exit. If it weren't for such a pushy and immoral rep, I may have actually purchased a subscription for my daughter.

Not awful but not great either. Just OK. Maybe it's that online tutoring is not the right vehicle for my daughter, but she wasn't comfortable with it after 3-4 lessons in both math and science. The UI was a bit clunky and slow, and live, more interactive tutoring has worked much better for her and our family. Tutor Vista very promptly returned my money when I asked to cancel my subscription, so no issues there. The few people I spoke to on the phone were basically nice, but you have to be very comfortable dealing entirely with foreign employees, and if you're not, this is not the right company for you.

If there is zero rate i would rate them 0! These tutors are very rude. He just wasted my time in asking me questions that were already in front of him,, my question was very clear and he wrote it down on the board. I told him that the pizza is 30 inches, he kept asking me about the length of the pizza... i told him its 30 inches and it is in front of you. He said in a RUDE way JUST ANSWER MY QUESTIONS! I answered his question to see what is gonna happen after, i thought he have something new to show me, all what he did after i answered the question is putting ( tick) sign in front of my answer! DON'T ever think about signing up to this site... and their system is very weak and slow! I signed up two hours and i didn't get any benefit from them

They might be better with standard textbook problems. I asked them about a three-electrode amperometry setup in a free demo session and although a tutor connected after about 5-10 min, they just started copy-pasting from a page I had read through and already had open in my browser. When I asked a question that they could not just copy-paste a supposed answer I was told that the demo time was up (2 min?). Then they started trying to refresh my browser tab (it would try to refresh about every 30 seconds). When I eventually let it redirect me it just sent me to a subscription sign-up page.

I'm not at all surprised at people saying that the tutors are slow and dont know what they are talking about or dont understand the problem and wasting time. From my short interaction with the tutor and an "Advisor" it seems that they focus too much on selling and not enough on actually helping. If they were at all useful I would actually consider subscribing for the occasional help. Alternatively if they simply told me that they dont know what I am talking about and that they cannot help me, I would have respected them for that.

I went on the site in order to see how this website works. I got into a chat with a rep, and everything was fine until i asked him if he could solve a problem so i can get a good understanding on how the system works. The rep ask me for my information like email and contact number, but i don't comfortable with doing that. After i informed him of that, he didn't reply for 10 minutes. When he did, all he said was i need your information. This service is freaken terrible.

Unlimited is actually 30 hours ("oh but you can do as many partial sessions as you want until you hit 30 hours, so that is why it is unlimited".) That was their excuse. The tutors are extremely slow. Often times they would check out for five minutes at a time. Also, half the questions I had, they actually got wrong. This happened over ten times. They will also allow you to schedule a session, only to not honor the scheduling and tell you to check back later. Overall, I'd say that if you can find a few good tutors on there, keep requesting them and you will be fine. Some of them are very helpful

I signed up for 30 days unlimited tutoring for Statistics. It was great the first few times but then I found out 24/7 tutors meant that I had between 8pm and 2am to use because there were no tutors available during business hours. I work during times were tutors are available. Unlimited is also not true as you are limited to a number of hours (but it was reasonable). One answer can take about 2 hours to complete but I can live with that as long as I "get it". It was slow. I requested my money back because I found another service that was available during normal hours and they could not refund my money because I had "already used 5 hours". Bottom line is, what they state, and what they do are not consistent. I kept complaining to CS that I wanted my money back and they said we will get you a tutor right now... just something to "make me temporarily go away". It never happened either. I did have some good tutors when I could access them. It has helped me but overall I am very dissatisfied with their service. Tutor Pace had better availability but tutors were not as good. Would not recommend a long term (30 days) contract with them because you will not have anyone available to help you.

SLOW!

SLOW! Took 45 mins to an hour for them to explain ONE problem. It was also SO hard to get a tutor online with you.

Once I got the tutor online to chat with me, their connection would continuously fail. When they got back after 10 minutes of time being wasted, they would just apologize and it would happen again in another 10 minutes. I love wasting my money.

Very very disappointed.

I was told I have 30 days free trial and unlimited tutoring for $85. After 3 days after useless session and waiting for incompetent tutors and few cancelled sessions I was advised I had unlimited session not hrs for 30 days, which I had asked multiple times when signed up and was advised I have unlimited tutoring and was lied to and not given the fine prints. Stay away from this company. Useless and false promises to sign up

I paid for 5 hours

I paid for 5 hours. The tutors are very slow and waste time. One problem took over 40 mins and the person regardless of my warnings refused to solve. They delay and ask many questions which was not helpful. A simple problem seriously over 40 mins. I constantly had to ask are you there? If one problem is more than 40 mins then how can this be worth it, Slow with no results, this is the worst service ever, when I pay for something I expect to get what I have paid for, and this is horrible, horrible, horrible, I constantly had to ask are you there from slow and no response, what nonsense,,,

I have an account with tutor vista and i signed up for the pro or whatever because the several tutors did help me and understood the concept…

HOWEVER; I asked several tutors for help at a homework problems and I HAD TO GIVE POOR REVIEWS BECAUSE THEY DIDNT KNOW HOW TO DO IT!

I spend almost 6 hours trying to go ahead and get a tutor for math (since thats the only one that is 24 hrs and it was a waste of my time.

So for overall, my experience has not been that great with tutor vista and do not recommend this. They should hire people that know the material well enough AND have enough tutors for everyone. Its ridiculous that I had to wait so many hours for a tutor. I will probably ask for a refund OR just never sign up for tutor vista again.

They popped up when I was on a site searching for answers asking if I wanted to participate in a free trial. Once I said yes and they got me into a chat with a whiteboard all they did was try and get me to sign up for tutoring! I told them I don't need enough help to sign up that I just wanted to use the FREE trial to get help on one problem. I confronted them and asked if they were seriously trying to get me to sign up instead of giving me the free trial they said. I was sent a generic "call this number response." Seriously?! Great customer service! I was so annoyed because I really needed help and would have loved a free trial. Then I probably would have returned in the future and recommended it to others who I know need tutoring. Not anymore now that they lied and wasted my time! So annoyed!

Had no idea how to complete my assignments for Physics, somehow I ended up with this site for help. Singed up and even got help from the tutors, its easy to use and they got some good tutors. But my concern is they have to reduce the pricing and also provide some additional discounts for existing costumers.

Signing up with Tutor Vista was a big decision for me, some bad reviews put me in dilemma. As a college grade student I wanted to invest my money for right organization and I did the right thing choosing Tutor Vista. After trying more and more demo sessions I made up my mind to buy a tutoring package. Tutors were very helpful, yeah few questions were not able to solve by tutors. But quickly they connected me to different tutor and solved the issue. So far I'm happy with the service, and I'm hoping it will continue the same.

You guys take freakingly long to answer a question. It took me 2 hours to answer 1 question! During Tutor Vista their was a chat that said free tutoring but once i connected with a Acad Coordinator they told me i had to pay. It was such a rip off! The Tutor's are extremely slow! And the prices are freaking high. Though i got my questions right. It is very disappointing

Using tutorvista was AWESOME!... for the first day or two. Then things went downhill. The tutors are SLOW as hell, it takes about 40-60 minutes for some tutors just to get thru HALF a problem, they dont work with you!, if they see you are struggling with a goddamn problem they just sit there, i actually had to ask a few tutors, um can you PLEASE help me out here! And they are like "sure" then i dont hear from them till the next 10 minutes. Wut sucks most is you are paying 150$ a month for 30 hours and they take 10 hours just to do ONE problem. Total waste of my goddamn time and money. I already blocked over 30 tutors because they were so BAD and SLOW and NOT helping at ALL. I have come across a few that were quite helpful and actually tutored and payed attention to me. Some of them dont know how to attempt the problems themselves. Many times i asked for help with a problem and they are like " please connect to another tutor for help as i am unsure of this problem" wtf, and then 6 or 7 tutors later... someone tries to help but takes another 20-30 minutes just to get thru 1/4 of the problem. I CANT!

My daughter was very nervous about her assignments, I couldn't help her with my hectic schedule. One of my friend suggested me to sign up with Tutorvista, I'd no clue about this organization or online tutoring. Found interesting when my friend explained about it, through academic counselor I got to know how online tutoring functions. Took a demo help even my daughter liked it, later I signed up for a monthly package and my daughter is doing good with her grades Thank you TutorVista.

They told me about a free trial, after transferring me to the white board to "HELP" me, they offered me packages when I asked them to help me with ONE problem. They said the trial was not free after telling me it was, wasting my time. They are a scam, they do not help with anything, and also they are unresponsive and unhelpful. DO NOT BOTHER PURCHASING THEIR PACKAGES.
