This outfit is dangerous. They charged me for hotel fees that could only be collected by the hotel, making me pay twice. Then they refused to refund the money they improperly collected. I believe this is fraud, and have initiated an investigation. It ruined days of our vacation, and the lingering trouble of going through the courts is miserable. TRAVELURO IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY OR RELIABLE. YOU WILL BE SCAMMED
We booked the Royal York in Toronto via the Trivago site through a third party supplier named Traveluro. We received a voucher with a confirmation number. On the day of travel by air from Halifax, NS to Toronto we were advised that our reservation at the Royal York was cancelled because it was overbooked. We then phoned the Royal York and they advised that they were not overbooked and did have many rooms left and did not recognize our confirmation number. We then contacted Traveluro. We then contacted Traveluro who then again stated that there were no rooms available at the Royal York but offered us a room at a three star hotel called The Beverley. We reluctantly accepted this reservation because we were out of options.
Shortly after we were advised that our booking at the Beverley was cancelled due to overbooking and were offered a booking at the Double Tree which was currently under renovations. As a matter of fact you could barely gain entrance to the main doors of the hotel. Again we had no choice but to accept and that's where we stayed for three nights. The moral of the story is that when you're booking through a third party you don't have a confirmation #. As confirmed by the Royal York it's just a temporary confirmation and if there is high demand the third party reservations are cancelled.
Booked and payed to not get a room hotel warned me they didnt have any reservation and that they were blocking them because of same repeted situation.

I booked a hotel room through them and when getting to the hotel it was not what I paid for and they are taking 5 plus days to help me as I am asking for a refund.
I found Traveluro on Kayak so I figured it was legitimate. WRONG! They show you this wonderfully low price for the best hotels and tell you that you have 21 minutes to make the booking. Many times I tried to book hotels, and was well within the time limit. After filling in all my information (including credit card number - YIKES!), I hit the "book this room" button. Bam! It comes back with something saying how sorry they are, but this price is no longer available. Well, what the heck were they holding the reservation for 21 minutes for? Of course they then offer you something way more expensive and prey on you to book it. It also tries to get more money for breakfast at a hotel which offers breakfast to all guests, no matter what they paid. I called to try and resolve this, but they all had the same song and dance how someone else must have snuck in and booked the cheap rate. AVOID THIS WEBSITE - YOU WILL ONLY WASTE TIME. I'm wondering what they are going to do now that they have my credit card number - Scary!
Just absolutely horrible service very deceiving and such big liars! No refund policy is a bunch of BS! I was scammed out of $280 at Hotel Name: The Champagne Lodge And Luxury Suites the room was down right filthy and infested with all kinds of bugs! I mean it was disgusting I complained and even showed pictures but denied me a refund! $50 for this so called breakfast
I wouldn't give them even one star but the system made me. I had booked my December 2021 trip to the Big Island, HI. The hotel I booked is the Hilton Waikaloa which is a hotel that is popular due to it's amenities. I had booked it 2 months in advance. The week prior I tried calling the hotel to request a rollaway. The Hilton didn't have us booked. The Hilton agent told me we were booked at a Hilton in Oklahoma. This is a totally different state. By the time Traveluro got back to me regarding this mistake was the day before we were to check in. In order to get the same hotel I had to use my whole 40,000 points with Hilton and paid about $500 more than Traveluro cost. They told me the day of travel I would get a refund but this didn't process till our trip was done and I had to use a credit card with a higher interest rate. I requested when we returned only the difference I lost between their cost and what I paid $500. They refused and never got back to me till recently cause I had to keep in touch with them no follow up was done by the company. Sadly all customer service agents that emailed me back never read my emails in full so I got frustrated. They have still not compensated me for this issue. I wrote United recently with an issue with their First Class service and customer service received a credit with no issue from them. This is true customer service. I've been a Travel Agent for 32 years and would never give the kind of service Traveluro gave.
Booked Hotel reservation with Traveluro and when I arrived at the hotel they didn't have my information. I called Traveluro to resolve the matters and I was put on hours, then told I would get a callback and ended up having to call them back And got put back on hold…. FRAUD!
I booked a hotel through Traveluro for June 07,2022, and got the hotel confirmation number from them.
When I arrived the hotel. I was told by hotel that they do not have my booking information and do not have room for me. I contacted Traveluro's customer service and I was confirmed again that my booking was active. I was waiting at hotel hall for more than 5 hours without any solution. I had to book another hotel nearby with much higher price.
However, I have got my price difference reimbursement one month later after I wrote a review about my experience.
We booked a holiday in through them for March 2022 and a few days after booking I confirmed with Holiday Inn that they showed our reservation. Then 2 weeks prior to going I rechecked since this was my first time using this website and found out for Holiday Inn that they cancelled the reservation. Now I was panicking as I did not want to get to Miami and have no hotel and many were sold out. I scrambled and rebooked another hotel with free cancellation as back up. Then contacted my credit card to pursue legal action and dispute that did not fulfil their agreement. My credit card company said they had till the day after we were flying to respond. Low and behold 2 days before leaving I get a text with a new confirmation booking number. I call holiday Inn again and confirm another booking was made under my name. I made sure the booking said paid in full. I decided at this point to take a chance and cancelled my back up. I did get there, and the room was ready. Ended well but wasn't worth the stress and headaches to saye a few dollars. Not a way to start vacation. I have documentation of the 2 different booking numbers from them booking, cancelling and rebooking again, along with the hotel supervisor I spoke with.
I was supposed to travel the weekend of May 20 but Denver had a late winter storm. My flight was cancelled and I was unable to get another one out that weekend. I called the hotel to request a credit. The hotel cancelled the reservation because of the situation. I called Traveluro the same day - May 20. Traveluro said they called and confirmed that the hotel cancelled the same day - May 20. Traveluro has confirmed this cancellation at least three times. I have confirmed this cancellation twice. Every time I call Traveluro they apologize and say they are going to follow up with the hotel to confirm the cancellation and provide me a refund, then nothing happens. This has been going on since May 20,2022 and it is not July 3,2022. Still nothing. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
They cancel your reservation with no warning. Had my trip canceled then when I try to rebook the hotel is sold out for my dates, this is after I already booked flights and other activities for the area. Ruined our summer trip do yourself a favor and use a trust worthy site.
If I could give Traveluro —-1 star I would. They are total crooks. They are polite and promise help knowing they won't help you and knowing they can but won't means they could care less about the customer. They cannot remain in business if people don't use them…. SO RUN!
I made a reservation at the Comfort Inn in Trevose, PA which will get a bad review as soon as I am done writing this one.
The COMFORT inns are usually fine for short stays and clean. But this one is like a brothal with bugs! I asked for a refund and they refused after giving me a nice polite run around. I called them again after calling Choice hotels to tell them they need to do something about this hotel under their chain! Nothing was done. I asked if the money could be put towards a better hotel since they hadn't paid the hotel yet. They ignored my request and we are locked in.
I do not recommend this site. They are shady and corrupt and they will not last because they could care less about you!
On June 4th we were kicked out of our hotel because they claimed it was only booked for one night we were staying at the Red Roof Inn. I called Taveluro and they tried to get us another hotel but could not find one. It was very hard to find a hotel with accommodations for a pet. The vacation was ruined because of this, because we almost had to sleep in our car because we couldn't find a hotel. Red Roof Inn claimed it was Traveluro's fault it was only booked for one night. I am aware we were refunded are money. It was very humiliating! It's very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. IF YOU BOOK WITH THEM YOUR GAMBLING ON YOUR HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS!

Although my experience with Traveluro was not a pleasant one, given that the initial 'Booking Confirmation' email, wasn't followed-up by a proper one, notifying me that there had been changes in availability causing a booking cancellation, I wouldn't go as far as to call the company a, scam. So, I show up to the Hotel, only to find out there was no reservation for me in the system. Naturally, I was confused since my credit card had in fact been charged, and I hadn't received a notification from Traveluro alerting me of any subsequent changes. I then had to scramble to make other arrangements on the spot, which as anyone might imagine, made for a very stressful & unpleasant situation. However, their customer service was very helpful & professional, and they did in fact process a full refund within days of my dispute.
I booked a reservation through them, but accidentally booked for the wrong city. I called immediately on this and tried to get them to change the City. They would not help at all, but did charge me $185 for a room that I never used. I only wish I would have checked the reviews first.
Traveluro intentionally refuses to refund money on stays that are canceled. They torment you by putting you on hold and claiming they are going to cancel and then they never resolve the situation. Do not use this company. Horrible.
You get a price in CDN but they charge you in USD. Don't trust this site. Employees are not empowered to give credit to customers. They just argue what you are saying, even with pictures.
