Made a hotel reservation through Traveluro and received all confirmations including a reminder about my stay a day before it was reserved for. When I came to the hotel I was informed that my reservation was cancelled by Traveluro a week after it was made. Luckily hotel had a room available, but at a higher rate than I paid Traveluro. I spent over an hour on the phone with Traveluro service reps, but couldn't get any explanation of the cancellation. I was promised a call back from an escalation department, but no one called me back. I had to call back multiple times just to request a return of my money. I was requested to send Traveluro my hotel bill, which I did. Still no apology, no compensation, huge aggravation. I submitted a dispute for the Traveluro charges to my credit card.
Total rip off. Added $50 in taxes and hotel fees that they never paid the hotel- which the hotel billed me at checkout. Total scam!
I'm not one for one-star reviews. They're often rants, and often about minor issues. With Traveluro, the issue is bigger: I made a reservation (via Kayak) with them at a San Francisco hotel, and when I got to the hotel they had no record of the reservation. Efforts to contact Traveluro resulted in an hour on the phone. Not "an hour." An actual hour. I was on hold 40 minutes, spoke to a representative who assured he'd deal with the problem, then put me back on hold for another 20 minutes before disconnecting me. Thankfully, I was able to make a new booking directly at the hotel (at a higher price). Traveluro did eventually contact the hotel... but still never put through the reservation. In fact, they gave me my "new" confirmation number -- which the hotel informed me was the reservation the *hotel* had made. I will notify Kayak to the effect that Traveluro should not be one of the travel entities on their aggregator site.
I spent 3 hours on the phone with the worst music ever. After that I was told a representative would reach out the the hotel. I called the hotel and they said not o ly did no one call bit they did not have an employee by the name.of Michelle. I called back again and a man answered the phone and 3 mins. Later hung up the phone. I'm calling my local and federal authorities to complaint. This is outrageous!
They never booked my room with the hotel and promised a refund and now are refusing to refund! Scam company - should not be in business!
I booked a hotel in Puerto Vallatra for 3 nights via TravelUro, and right before the trip, out of caution, I called up the hotel to confirm my booking and to my horror, they said they see the reservation done only for 1 night. I'm working with TravelUro customer service now, and wait time is 48 hrs to get it resolved. I did not have to run into this the first place.
I wouldn't even give them one star. Horrible customer service. Continued to lie to me over and over, day after day. Kept telling me they would get back to me with phone calls and emails and they never returned a call or email. Do not book anything through them!
This $#*!ing places sends me a notification my hotel is available. I arrive late at night on vacation to find out after telling me my room is ready the hotel is over booked! I waited over 2 hours and all they did was refund me when I wanted to be relocated. Of course it was a busy weekend and went to 8 different hotels I could easily walk due to having no car and all were already full as it was already 11pm! Do not waste your time the people are brain dead that you have to deal with.
I had to cancel a portion of my trip. One of the hotels was not going to work right for our party so I went online to cancel those days. 4 Hours later, the website was still not accepting the cancelation. The only choices the site would display were "Send Itinerary" and "Send Receipt." I needed "Cancel." They gave Server Errors when I pressed the "Contact Us" button. After 4 hours, I called. 30 Minutes on the phone later and a pleasant woman finally cut the music and spoke with me. She was competent in canceling the reservation but had to charge me $23 for canceling. It was less than 48 hours after I made the reservation; 2 weeks before the cancelation deadline; for a trip that doesn't happen until mid-January. If they had done what they were supposed to do, I would have booked the new hotel through them but after the experience they put me through tonight I will never use them. Trip#******* I have photos but your program wants them smaller and I am done messing with this problem.
I booked a hotel room. They charged my credit card and sent me a confirmation text. When I got to the hotel they had no record of my reservation. I called the number on the confirmation text and got put on hold forever and ever and ever. Eventually I just gave up and paid for a room.
After my trip I called the number again and waited for ages and then got through. They told me I was a "no show" at the hotel despite the fact I paid for a room directly at the hotel because the Travel Uro reservation was fake and did not exist.
Any law enforcement please contact me to help bring this scam to the ground. I will testify in Court! I have endless time to destroy these people.

I realized that I bought a non-refundable reservation in NYC for this coming weekend. However, our son, who lives in NYC and was the reason for our visit, tested positive for Covid just yesterday, so we wanted to MODIFY our reservation to a later date. The hotel was totally fine with our making this change to the dates we wanted, but Traveluro was completely uncooperative. After 5 phone calls and being on hold for a total of 3 1/2 hours over the course of those calls, they told me in an email that they could help me with the modification if the hotel authorized it AND that they could NOT help me because it was a non-refundable, non-amendable policy - BOTH sentences in the same message! WHAT? This was the double-speak I got from Tin, the last person I spoke with and whose phone call took over two hours. This was the actual copy from their email to me:
"for us to still proceed with your request, please ask a written confirmation from the hotel's manager or whoever has the authorization to modify the reservation
Since the changes have been denied, we are unable to make any changes as the reservation was booked under a non-refundable and non-amendable policy. "
I sent the hotel's authorization to Traveluro but they still denied being able to modify the reservation and actually lied to me about having spoken to the reservations person there at the hotel, which I know to be untrue because I spoke with the same individual whose name they used. AAAARGHH! Terrible experience!
The hotel booked was not the one advertised. When I told the receptionist I booked through Traveluro they laughed in my face. This is a joke of a company. Take your money somewhere else.
Scam company and will not give refunds during hurricane Ian
We cannot leave because we were in the middle of the hurricane and requested if they can give us a refund or credit which we will use for the company they ignored a request and stalled on the emails and said it is not possible. No ethics with this company especially during a hurricane where we cannot even travel and flights were cancelled. This is a company you Gotta be very cautious if by chance something happens in your looking to add the company for some assistance especially during a hurricane they absolutely will not be helpful and is a poorly run company
I booked my hotel with the 4 months I'm advanced for a stay in Orlando. They emailed me and called me a day before my check in date telling me my hotel is overbooked and they have to give me an alternative one. I asked to talk to a supervisor they said there is no one that will pick up the phone to talk to me about a compensation for the troubles so I told him to rebook the new hotel. I'm 3 hours from check in time and they canceled me again and it took me 25 min to be on hold for them to answer and confirm the 2nd alternative and still saying they arnt giving me no compensation. This is ridiculous my rep was Pat and he was absolutely terrible.
I knew I should have stuck with calling hotel direct and reserving! Made my reservation a week and half from stay date, canceled within traveluro and Hampton's time frame polices, traveluro sent me an email stating they contacted Hampton and per policy would not refund. I called Hampton Corp' and their policey is 24hrs before stay date( i was a week out) so I should be refunded. They flat out lied! Not surprised this day and time. I would not recommend and what goes around comes around traveluro.
Stole money & traveluro cancelles your reservations right after they book a loose reservation while lying to you every step of the way and continue to claim you have a valid reservation.
Even got on phone at hotel with manager and tried giving him fake numbers but Manager said those are not even the correct format of how they book reservations. Then after filing bank dispute they give money back and ask me for a good review... wtf.? I think they are using people's money as long as they can and keep it if you don't file with bank but they need to be shut down.
Absolutely useless customer service. Cannot provide the proper billing receipts when asked multiple times.

I booked my room weeks before my stay without an issue. Then I received a text the day of my arrival stating my room was ready and to reach out if there were any issues. We landed after midnight and didn't get to the hotel until 1 or 2 am. My reservation was no where to be found and when I called traveluro I was told I would be called back in AN HOUR. We'd been traveling and it was 2 am so I felt this was absurd. Eventually the hotel found a name that resembled mine but was spelled terribly (unrecognizable my) wrong. Because of the difficulty getting answers the hotel was nice enough to let us take the room until the issue was resolved. It was eventually resolved after calling traveluro numerous times. I reached out afterwards because I felt we should be compensated for the time spent and inconvenience. Traveluro told me I spelled my own name wrong (I have documented confirmed emails with the correct spelling) and that there was no documentation of me having any issues. I asked if they recorded their phone calls because I spoke with one of their employees and I was ignored. I resent the email two more times and was ignored both times. The savings were not worth the headache. I WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone. They are unhelpful when problems arise and there's no guarantee you can even get the room you laid for. We were really lucky the front staff at our hotel was so accommodating. Do not use traveluro!
Answer: They don't honor the insurance they offer through their website they want they won't let you change dates I probably won't do anything for you very piss poor customer service
