When i called the hotel to confirm my booking, they said it did not exist. They tried everything and didnt find it. This whole process was a scam!

I made a mistake in my booking and contacted travelup within minutes of my booking going through.
I phones and was not ablet to get through. At the same time I emailed.
It took 2 days to get a reply which was very unhelpful 1 sentence replies I needed to wait for well over 12 hours at times. While the flights where getting more expensive.
I had booked me and my 2 kids to fly to Frankfurt.
I misspelled the first name of my child ( an honest mistake and I knew I would need to pay for a new flight and just wanted help how to do this.
The original praice for the 3 was £416
To rebook my child with the correct name they wanted £360
Fees, and fines apparently...
This is unbelievable.
Not just that they where not very helpful ad the outcome is unacceptable
There customer service is neither quilified nor articulate.
The email support was a joke.
So if you are in a rush or about to fly this is outragious.
The help line I waited 3 times up to 45 min then got to someone 2x and both times was transferred to the sales team and both times I was just hung up on while waiting.
This is very disappointing customer service, actually worse than Ryanair in the heydays.
Watch out and make sure you tick all boxes correct as there is no way to correct anything. Worse you cant even book a new flight. So as it stands my 8 year old wont be able to be booked on out flight.
In the 4 days I have tried solving the issue the flight price rose and who knows what they offer when the flight is full... guess we all stay home and lose our family flights.
The outcome... non of us can fly as I can hardly leave an 8 year old at home.
I used Travel up to book a hotel in Atlanta for business. I arrived at my hotel on the correct day to find the entire hotel had been shut down for legionnairs disease and had been closed for 2 weeks prior to my arrival. I spoke with the manager of the hotel and he told me they had contacted all of their 3rd party vendors and it was up to my vendor to contact me and to refund me. Travel up never contacted me to let me know my hotel was closed. I was in the city at night with no place to stay and all surrounding hotels were booked due to the busy season. I called travel up and sent emails. They refused to refund my money because they "didnt know the hotel was closed" They are based in the UK and even in the UK you have google. Even after me telling them over and over again that I could not use the hotel for the week that i had booked it for they continued to refuse to return my money. I called the hotel again and they once again reaffirmed they had contacted all 3rd party vendors. So not only was I stranded in a city with no notice my hotel was cancelled when i was 1000 miles from home but I also still ahve yet to receive my $900 refund 3 weeks later. Their customer service is rude and I would suggest paying a little bit more to use a more reputable company.

Bait and switch. Tried booking SLS and it booked me to a different kimpton hotel. Non refundable. They suck

I found a great price on a hotel so I booked. Next day, I check my email and see the date is NOT WHAT I ENTERED the day before. I assumed that due to this error (NOT MY ERROR) I could switch the incorrect date with the date I entered. So after emailing the appropriate department, Travelup states my booking is no refundable...I explained that there is an error with the date that I entered and the date they booked me for to which I was met with a confusing email saying they're going to get a hold of the hotel and hopefully this can be resolved and then the next line said that my booking was live and cannot be changed. I emailed again requesting why the hell this is my problem when clearly I entered the correct date and I received nothing back so I paid for a hotel room with a date I did not request and I can't get a refund and this was not due to my error and I would not recommend anyone use the service for any reason at any time. Ever. It's ridiculous and I have since looked around at different prices and I get a lot better price through the hotel directly. I would avoid this little company at all costs.
