1 star is way too many stars...
Very misleading in their marketing! Went back to them for the third year for my credit report review and then canceled the same day. I noticed the $30.00 charge on my credit card a month later. When I called I was told there was nothing I could do and no one I could talk to - Their program had changed and I wasn't understanding their changes when I ordered the reports the same way I had the for the past 2 years.
This is a Very Very bad company! Stay away!
You can get a totally free credit reports from annualcreditreport.com

Broken web. Can't login. I had spend days on calling their support resetting the password. A few days after, I cannot login again.
I called the support to reset my password, and they said I need to wait 24h to get the link. I have never receive this one.
Web chat does not support the Canada area.
They have two different domain managed by different group of people, and I have to contact the right group.
At minimum, I need to spend 30 minutes waiting on them to take my call. Usually, I need to wait for 50 minutes, and one call helping nothing.

This company is pathetic and apparently no one there knows what the hell they are doing. I get updates all the time from my Bank and Experian about my credit score and it is always around 677 but I just refinanced my new truck and the bank said Transunion score is 636 (what the f- - -) is with this company? If they can't keep better records that they need to close down. I printed out my free credit report from Transunion and there is (33) inquiries on my credit report I don't even know who they are so when I go on Transunion to file a dispute guess what says the site is not working ( how convenient) The problem here is when you buy something or apply for credit the score they go buy is Transunion. This company needs to be restructured NOW...

Service is Joke
October 16, 2019

I initially signed up for a one time/one day service. Then I Saw that I was being charged every month $19.95. Called to Cancel the account and the rep was suppose to cancel the service and he did not. Called back today and spoke to Ed-#6686. He was rude and disrespectful and did not provide me with the information I asked for. Constantly over talked... just rude. I asked for a Supervisor and he told me nobody was available and he could not hold while I wanted to wait. He hung up on the call. Called back spoke to Sonia-#4082... made a Complaint about Ed. Then requested her Supervisor. Now I am waiting on a callback. It is not worth this frustration.

BE WARNED automatically Signs you up for $25 subscription/month hidden within a $1 credit check. This is not mentioned notably in any part of the credit check but is at te very bottom of one of the 1000x emails you get here on after doing the credit check. Only caught this after 4 months of payment.

It has been a few months now that I have paid off my credit cards. The CC issuers have been stating to me that TransUnion has been notified, yet Transunion still has not shown it as so on my credit report.

I paid for TU's "credit monitoring" service, whatever they're calling it this year. I immediately started being spammed by them, trying to convince me to apply for a loan (which I don't need) or credit card (which I have plenty of, thanks). I unchecked all the marketing opt-ins on my profile, but the next time I log in, those tickyboxen are turned back on and I still get spam. I yelled at the CSR chat-bot to stop f***ing spamming me, and they deleted my email from their system entirely (which isn't what I asked for). And yet I'm still being spammed by these chowderheads.

All the credit bureaus are evil, but TU is both evil and incompetent.

So here is issue, 1/10/24 AG Direct Accidently reported deliquesce on my account. I have proof that I have been paid ahead by three months as of 2/05/24 on my statement it says my next bill due date is 4/31/24
So there is no way I was late payment. Anyways on experian they reported that I made payment on time also.

I called AG Driect and AG Driect siad they would take care of this issue, but according to my credit card company its still listed on my transunion account I was told it take about 30 days remove i guess but, I just wanted to contact transunion to make sure that AG Driect reached out to them... every method of contact from there phone number *******800 to there get no results they require you to make an account, no issue I have account I try to log in says that password no good so I fill out the question stuff to get my password changed. This leads to an error the error states need to call 1(*******221 i call that all I get is a bot that also need to verify me cant get verified sense I can't log in.

Its big loop with no way to actually contact anyone.

I mean all i need was someone to tell take my social number and name and address and then verify if AG Direct reached out to them to pull that off my record its not hard thing to do.

Do not waste precious time trying to get someone from TU to assist you with your concerns. You'll be redirected, put on hold for hours and more frustrated by the end.

This transunion site doesn't remember anything! I can't even get logged in. The system doesn't recognize it. It also gives an error when you try to reset your password! Useless website.

Horrendous service!
April 19, 2019

I recently applied for a new car lease and could not get approved because TransUnion - WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE- placed a "suppression" on my account. The only way to get the suppression lifted is to snail mail a copy of your social security card to them. Seriously? In 2019? You will speak to India to several clueless operators who ask you the same questions over and over then still can't help you. I am a tax paying American citizen with excellent credit and this had been an absolute NIGHTMARE! BEWARE!

2.5 hours on the phone with these people (6 different people as I kept being given a different phone number to call that would allegedly solve my problem) and zero resolution. Would either get the wrong department or the US number when I needed the Cdn number. Fifth person told me I had to go online and create a free account with them in order to submit documents to change my incorrect address on file. Tried creating the account but got an error message after I'd entered all the info. Called again and was told that I had accessed the wrong site (the paying version of the account) when meanwhile I'd gone to the exact site address I'd been given by three people. This fifth person even confirmed that I had the right address but he said TransUnion automatically takes you to the pay site where they ask for a credit card. Hardly anyone was a native English speaker either so constantly asking someone to repeat what they'd said. This company should have been put out of business long ago and the fact that they're allowed to continue and have custody of everyone's credit information is a travesty and a reality check of where we are as a society and how useless government at every level is otherwise they would have been brought to heel by a government advocacy body years ago.

Went to sign in to TransUnion Credit Monitoring and clearly they have designed it deceptively that you do not realize that there is a $27.15 membership fee $24.95 plus tax until you get the receipt after your credit card is charged. It is not made clear beforehand and truly a deceptive practice especially for a Credit Monitoring Company. TERRIBLE!

Afterward, there is really nothing being offered that you cannot get for FREE from CREDIT KARMA.

I don't know how they are allowed to treat us like they do. They do not help you in any kind of way. They will allow a negative item to keep keep reporting as an active account after it's been charged off and allows your balance to keep increasing after 4 years! The account doesn't even belong to me! Their customer service is terrible. They transfer you over and over to different departments and you can't understand what they say. They put/allowed a fraud alert on my account in less than 24 hrs after I removed it. I called back in after I received an email it took me over an hour to get through to someone again this time and get it removed again unbelievable worst experience ever. I have dealt with him three times this week. Someone needs to step in and get things changed here so that we will not have to go through this anymore. Experian and EQUIFAX are great to work with. This is probably why a lot of places do not pull Transunion compared to the other bureaus because they don't want to deal with it.

Trailer trash
April 23, 2020

Nearly all those employed, including the CEO/President of Transunion are complete trailer trash. Uneducated, dishonest, trailer trash. THEY NEED COMPLETELY NEW OWNERSHIP! Probably the least trusted credit bureau at this point.

The incompetence is really scary. I have a credit freeze with them and the other credit bureaus, and I was trying to lift the freeze for just 48 hours while applying for something. Well, something simple quickly turns into a project...

1. Their online website based system has not been accessible for two days now. You just get an error message.
2. The automated phone system version doesn't work either. You get an error there as well, after spending time putting in all your information.
3. The last resort is to call an agent and do it manually with them. But then the PIN they sent you doesn't work either, so now the agent has to take you through all these security questions from your credit report, and it takes forever. And one of the reasons it takes forever is that when you call, you get someone in the Philippines or something, and they are hard to understand. So, this US based company, handling the highly sensitive information, outsources their call center work to to foreigners, in another country... huh? That's who you give your social security number to, and your address, etc. Very confidence inspiring indeed...
What a $#*!ty company. I can't believe this can happen in today's world. But it's only because they don't have to answer to anyone. Customer service is an unknown concept to them.
