It's a scam! When we noticed someone was stealing my mail and reported it to the police I was adviced to get a free report from Trans Union. Trans Union asks to agree to a $1 free report, but automaticly they charge $19.95 per month. When you call to cancel, they take your info but don't cancel. It took a couple of months to receive an email of the cancellation. You can't reach them by email to cancel the subscription, you can only talk to a live agent. They will tell you they will cancel but next month you will get billed again. Legislature has to change if this is the company that we need to trust.

Years ago, I almost got hired by Trans Union. I was referred by a former co-worker who worked with me at Chilton Credit Reporting. I also worked at TRW. In those days, you could go to the office and discuss the issue with both companies. I see a lot of racketeering amongst all three of the big 3 rackets. They all need to go out of business.
