Paying high fees to sell in their page, Tradesy will not have a neutral position while defending a case with a buyer. There is just a one direction evaluation and never offers a dialogue with the seller. The Customer Service repeats kindly the same type of responses that are of no help.
Unfair reviews and evaluations
Generally speaking Tradesy is not horrible. Sometimes you can find good items at decent prices. But from a seller's point of view there are things that need to be improved. I sold 3 bags over a month ago and I still haven't received my money. I transferred my money from Tradesy to PayPal 2 weeks ago, and I still don't have it in my PayPal account. No PayPal transaction takes that much time. Its just devastating that you can't get your money. Additionally, they have business accounts with some of the sellers. These people are charged only 9% fee and Tradesy promotes their items, which makes it harder for a regular seller like me to sell my items in addition to paying a 23% fee (20% Tradesy fee & 3% PayPal fee). I would have definitely cancelled my account with Tradesy if there was another comparable selling platform. I think people at Tradesy are aware that there is no other good selling platform for designer items and that's why they are taking advantage.
Selling has always been ok until we sold a pair of pre-owned shoes and the buyer wore them (they were $700 shoes) damaged them badly and then Returned them. Tradesy allowed them to do so and did nothing about it. Offered us nothing in return. What a joke. Protect your sellers if you want to keep them, business 101.
Seller (or agent) was very up front about existing problems. I shipped the bag to my restorer(excellent for upscale leather goods). Needs a total new lining and just an outside cleanup. $400. Plus the 150 I paid to Tradesy. I say, knowing what the work will look like and the buyer fee that I have an excellent bargain for a soon to be lovely LV bag. I will gladly share the Restorer upon request. Just contact me thru Tradesy.
Tradesy seems like a great place to sell... they say they will take back returns and resell for you, allowing you to keep your earnings from a sale. However they always have an excuse not to take a return, this has been a big problem recently, and allows buyers to take the 4 day return window, wear the item, and return it or claim it was inaccurately listed. If Tradesy won't follow through on their promise to take returns for you, they offer nothing that every other selling site offers... except higher fees.
Very awesome website- similar to ebay but used wedding material!
You can search by typing in an item, by color, by price, or by date listed. This website can use paypal (or you can type in your cc number).
I personally have not bought anything from this website, so I can't give reviews about shipping or anything. Which brings me to the only downfall I had- the reason being that the items I was searching for was not on there.
But hey- recycled and inexpensive wedding stuff? Heck yes!
For a more safer way to shop, I always choose "New with Tags" when buying. I have bought 2 Coach purses. They came brand new with the actual Coach sales tag still on it and both came with a dust bag and the serial numbers sewn in the inside. I just purchased a Michael Kors watch. Hopefully this purchase will go as well as the previous ones.
The good: I completely love and believe I received an authentic YSL purse. Amazing deal several hundreds off current retail. Amazing!
The not good: Though the sellers' bio states they welcome questions, both my very polite, succinct follow ups regarding shipping were ignored. To be fair both inquiries seem to lead to an action on Tradesy (activating the sale, shipping the item).
Overall, I'm looking past that because the item is in fact genuine. But that lack of communication made me apprehensive. Also its the first time I've experienced that and I've sold and bought many items on Tradesy and always answered buyers and potential buyers and up to this time always was replied to. Oh well all is well that ends well!
I always have great service with Tradesy but is it possible to have mailing options for sellers beyond the USPS. Currently they are overwhelmed and understaffed and delays happen very frequently- especially in December (I always treat myself with something for my birthday but it gets caught up in the Christmas "rush"). For more high priced items is it possible to have fedex or ups as options? I'm aware the costs would have to be baked into the cost of the items, increasing product for purchasers but maybe a consideration for higher priced items so the risk of loss during transit is slightly less.
Beautiful ring but took longer than expected to arrive. Since it was expensive, it required a signature, which did not happen. Just a knock on the door by the Fed Ex delivery man and the package left by the door. Fortunately I was home to retrieve my package immediately, but I live in an apt complex with open hallways and have had several packages stolen before. A signature would've been more secure!
I contacted the returns department several times about my issue. I was not allowed to talk to anyone, and the "returns" department sends you in circles, by only communicating through emails so they don't have to deal with angry dissatisfied customers. To late to try and talk to a manager, even though that was never a option. I dealt with several customer service reps over the phone, and online. After much frustration I gave up and settled for a discount, rather than a full return.
Had a wonderful experience in ordering from Tradesy. Found exactly what I wanted at a great price, arrived at time expected, packaged well, in great condition! What more could I ask?! Love the bracelet and will probably order again from this company right away! Thanks for making it easy!
Purchased a pair of sunglasses payment was promptly processed seller acknowledged then nothing no shipping I wait and wait after 2 weeks I contact customer service who tells me well guess we need to cancel order process refund hmmm ok I guess no real explanation. So wait a few days try again place order payment processed waiting... waiting... again tradesy cancels the order this time because the seller never acknowledged customer service has been helpful but it would be nice to actually get a product I order
I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing from this site, but turned out to be a great experience. Delivery was faster than what was originally scheduled. I bought the Alexander McQueen Oversize Sneakers and they are perfect.
I'm a real Gucci girl. I have ordered some of my favorite from this site and have absolutely no complaints. The quick delivery is great authenticity of each item provided and confirmed I will definitely order again
First item bought in mid-November for a Nov. 28 birthday, $500. Seller emailed me on Nov 27 to say they had received the order and they would ship out that week. Received item days after promised delivery date. Bag was misrepresented as a laptop bag with certain dimensions. Dimensions were not accurate and bag was too small to fit a laptop. Returned the item only to find out that the return policy is for site credit only! So found a $2000+ bag, but this time my first time buyer discount was not accepted because I used it on the misrepresented bag. All very sketchy. Now a month later I have still not received the second bag and they don't know when it will arrive. Since I have to be home to sign for it this is a big problem. Oh and the fact that my wife still has no birthday gift. These people are terrible at what they do and their customer service is as bad as I have ever experienced. If you give them your money and don't get it back it is your fault for not listening to this warning.
Buyer beware, they do not have the items they are advertising for sale, their legit and trustworthy sellers are anything but. I tried to buy a purse and it look Shop Hers 10 days to figure out the seller had sold the item the day before I put in my order. What a scam! Who knows what they did with my credit card information.
It's odd to read so many negative reviews, especially about their customer service. I mostly sell on SH, and have been paid promptly for the items. As far as buying from them, I bought what looked like an awesome sweater, marked "M". When it arrived and I tried it on it fit more like an XS (although that is the fault of the lister). The sweater also had an overwhelming cheap perfume stench, so I returned it. Customer Service was totally understanding, and I didn't have any problems. I would recommend them.
I absolutely love my Fendi. It's my second baby spy bag. Perfect size. Denim is timeless! It's in pretty perfect condition.
The sellers were great. Very communicative and provide awesome customer service.
We took the time to list hundreds of items - photographing, writing listings, etc. We had over 150 positive sales, then they received one return that was supposedly a replica (we did not agree) and they closed our account for good. They gave no explanation and no warning. AWFUL COMPANY - they cannot do business this way and stay open for long. Don't trust them!
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
