I love them so much. My first time shopping there and I am so impressed. I've been looking for homecoming shoes for soooo long since I have wide and long feet. Then I found the shoes online, called, then went in to try on to make sure that they would work. They don't carry heels in store but the people working at the story were the nicest people and went to the back to check what have gotten returned. I was thinking to myself that the stars would have to align in order to have something that would work. They obviously did, because I wound up with the perfect shoes exactly what I was looking for and better yet they don't even sell them online anymore. This is now my favorite store and will be going back often.
Don't get me wrong, I love their clothing. The styles, the sizes. However, the clothes are cheaply made. Everything ends up with holes or snags. I bought dress pants for a funeral, quickly tried them on to see if they fit and packed them up to go out of town. The morning of the funeral, I put the pants on and sat down, sure enough there is a hole in the pants at my knee. I had nothing else to wear, my fault for not checking but nonetheless the pants had a hole and I hadn't even worn them anywhere yet. Good luck returning or getting a refund. Customer service is completely unhelpful. In the past, I've been able to return items to the store, now a very unkind lady is telling me no, they must be shipped back. I shouldn't have to go through that hassle when there is a torrid down the road from me. They are also grossly expensive for such cheaply made clothes. They either need to improve or go out of business because at this point it's just a scam. I'll never buy from Torrid again, sadly.
I've ordered from Torrid.com a few times after not finding anything I wanted in the one store in my area. Every purchase had something cancelled by torrid and refunded with the reason that item was out of stock. It was in stock online when I purchased it obviously or I wouldn't have been able to do so. I was so frustrated after my last order was fully refunded because NOTHING was in stock that I emailed their customer service asking why I never get my full orders. They claim that their website doesn't update as fast as things sell and that what they actually have on hand isn't accurately reflected online. So, basically, they can sell a tshirt for $55 but not apply any of those proceeds toward updating their website to reflect what they really have in their warehouse.
I'm lucky enough to live near a store, so I have purchased online and in store. Bonus: free shipping if you pick it up at the store. Have purchased shirts, leggings, sweaters, dresses, and a jacket and have found the quality very good to excellent. Have returned things with no issues, including returning online purchase in store. There seems to always be some kind of sale going on, and I was pleased to find that the store let me apply my BOGO promotion discount to an online item when what I wanted wasn't in stock at the store---what a customer-friendly policy. I've also stacked coupons, which many companies don't allow. Only one minor complaint, which was that I got asked multiple times during my last store visit if I was sure I didn't want to add another item to my order to get the discount: not a fan of the hard sell. Love love love their pop culture items.
First time ordering, and they are terrible. Made several orders do to their promotions, but then turns out they change items to final sale after you purchase, and you cannot return them regardless if your receipt shows otherwise. Quality is terrible. Several misprinted items and no response from any of their contact methods. Filed a BBB complaint and no answers. They ripped me off almost $100. The sizing is inconsistent and they massively over price their items so sale price is standard retail. None of the sales they advertise are ever less than the standard amount. I was excited to shop here, but I will NEVER order or purchase, let alone recommend them to anyone.
I ordered one clearance bra to be shipped to store, order confirmed and got a verification email. I waited a few days and was wondering what's up with my order bc no emails were sent to me, so i went through my order history and it says cancelled (it says if an order is cancelled they will email me - they didn't) and then i checked my bank account and they didn't refund me either! After all this i went to the customer service chat and it was broken! I just want my money back really. :(
Carly, customer service (un)professional, treated me terribly when I called to inquire as to why my order was canceled when it's still available for purchase on the website. The entire conversation she made it very clear that my calling her was a huge inconvenience to her.
Although I've been a platinum member for quite a while and used the "Platinum service line" for assistance. But, all I got was Carly's pejorative tone, snarky demands and insulting behavior. I refuse to be treated so badly when all I wanted was to know what happened to the order that Torrid promptly took the funds out if my account for.
I guess they are trying something new and they are making the clothes when you order. After that they then choose the cheapest and most indirect shipping method available. I placed an order on June 15th. It FINALLY shipped on July 5th and the delivery date is July 15th. I live in Oklahoma and it shipped from Ohio. I'd heard with the rising price of gas that the Pony Express was making a comeback.
Honestly, if there was a negative star that's what I'd have chosen. I ordered 2 swimsuits on May29 at a Torrid store to be shipped to my home because they did not stock in the store. I have not received them yet and the only tracking I can find is a USPS number and that the USPS has not received my order from the partner shipper Pitney Bowes. I have emailed customer service and only rec'd the form response, not the promised personal response. I'll never order from this company again and will warn others not to either.
I ordered 3 pairs of underwear at $16.50 each because I was supposed to get 2 free pairs if I ordered 3. I got the order and only 3 pairs were in there. I emailed to request the 2 free pairs and was told it was too late, but they would give me $20 credit and 50%o off my next shipping. I emailed them saying this doesn't even cover the underwear, which were $16.50 each. Got a reply that $20 credit was added to my account. I will not be using it cause I feel ripped off. Too bad cause it used to be my favorite store.
I have been ordering online for several years. It wasn't until recently that I started having problems ordering only the next or same day, to have my order cancelled. No notification! I spoke with customer service who politely took the time to explain that the order was cancelled because that item was no longer in stock. Every day when I check on their website, the same tops that I have TRIED to order for the last 2 weeks still show " IN STOCK"! The girl was very apologetic and said that they would credit me back for several orders. I checked today and NOTHING|! With things the way they are right now and have been for the last 2 years, more people are ordering online. Whoever updates and maintains the website should be doing a better job in keeping it up to date!
For the 2nd day in a row been on hold over a hr yesterday was hr and 4 min then hung up on iam going on 34 min now.
I ordered on 11 Oct still says pending the store has it in stock it would be nice to be able get it before I go on vac.
Reason I bought it and paid shipping.
To take on vac I can't even pay my bill being it still pending but you have no problem charging intrest and shipping when it's been processing this long I will not order online again worst service ever I would give it a zero it I could don't waist your money
I once again tried to order from Torrid and had my order canceled again. I've had 3 previous orders canceled as well. Customer service reps hang up on you, don't answer your questions and offer zero incentives to remain a part of their customer base. I was also told you are not allowed to purchase on line/ in app with any payment method that does not have your name on it. So, I if I try to order something with my husband's debit card, it accepts the order and cancels it with zero communication evrn though I've used his card before with no issue. I had to asked this question as not one of the 4 reps I spoke with could explain why my orders were actually canceled.
My latest order was canceled because they were "out of stock" however the item is currently in stock, and the rep lied to me. It appears, from what I can find, it may have had something to do with the coupons I used. So, to summarize, bad business practices, unknowlegable and dishonest reps. If I could give no stars I would.
I bought size 9.5 extra wide calf and per Torrid chart it says19.5. The first pair was 23 inches. I returned them and got pair #2 which is also 23 inches. I even thought that they shipped me the same pair back. These was so big they fell right off my calf. My calf is 20 inches. I returned pair #2 and this time got just the wide width 9.5 boot size. The chart this time says 17.5 inches. AGAIN THE CALF MEASURED 23 and I Measured the boot calf in the store. This is false marketing to say. Calf size is 17.5 and 19.5 but all the boots are 23 inches. Please change the description online and stop giving false information. I loved Torrid and bought many pieces. I bought a couple of outfits to go with those boots and now NO BOOTS!
Over the weekend I went to Topeka Kansas store in the mall. First time ever and the 3 ladies in this store was amazing help. I never shop for clothes for myself. I tried on 2 pair of jeans and omg they fit perfectly. I told the ladies I have never in my life found a pair of pants to fit and feel so great! These ladies made me feel comfortable. I don't live near by but when I can I will go back. I definitely will by on line. The clothes just feel amazing.
I returned two pairs of jeans on april 23rd and still have not received a refund!. I cant even get through to customer service. I have emailed them twice and no response!. I will never order through this company again!
I was very unsatisfied with how my issue was handled. I had to call customer service plenty of times and EACH csr I spoke with seem to not know what's going on. I have been a customer with Torrid since 2011 and had not had any problems with the company until this issue. This experience really makes me want to not shop with this company any more. Each csr I spoke with had given me different information then the previous csr. This was a very unsatisfactory experience for me.
Three strikes your out! Wearing a pair of pants I bought never worn before and I looked down and the seam is unraveling on my leg at work and it's back to school night and I can't even go home and change. A pair jeans I got started to shred on their own, And another pair of jeans that I really liked only worn them for about three months and they're falling apart where the button is and they're not tight jeans should last more than three months especially at these prices and they shouldn't disintegrate
Torrid, make the WAISTLINE at the WAIST! So sick of ugly "boob waist" dresses! The fit and style are awful! Disney dresses Torrid makes are the perfect example of this ridiculous mess. Look at the Tinkerbell dress, the model has to buckle the belt ON her Boobs! Seriously?!? I refuse to spend another penny on Torrid clothing until you make dresses that fit us correctly, and stop mocking the plus size women you want to be your customers!
The quality of their clothing is above average, a little pricey but worth it. The problem I have with this company is when you have to return any items, you don't get a credit for it unless you call their customer support. I returned items over a month ago via UPS and when I called to ask about my credit, the first thing they asked was if I had a tracking number and what it was! So if I didn't have that, no proof of return, no credit! This is the 2nd time this has happened to me with Torrid! Their return process is a scam!
Answer: I recently returned an item after waiting more than two weeks for delivery. It took almost a month for them to respond and acknowledge that they received the returned item. I never wore the item (shoes) because they were too small and Torrid only refunded 1/2 of the purchase price. RIP OFF!
Answer: They are the most consistent in sizes that I have found - so depends on what store you are comparing them to and your body shape. I am kind of boxed shape (except for cutting in under the bust I am big everywhere) - they run smaller than Lane Bryant for me - but for my friend who is chest heavy she wears the same sizes at both. In comparison to most regular sized stores I size down - like I am a 4x at Old Navy - a 3x at Torrid.
Answer: It's totally normal, unfortunately. I'm on day 13 now and was told today it would be another 7 days before my order shipped.
Answer: DON'T ORDER SHOES FROM THEM! I recently returned a pair of sandals that did not fit. I returned them the next day and fortunately returned via UPS so I had a tracking number. It took almost a month to get an acknowledgement that they received the return ONLY because I kept sending them the UPS proof of delivery, and then ---- THEY ONLY REFUNDED HALF THE PURCHASE PRICE!
