While Torrid clothing is usually great quality and design, DO NOT waste your time ordering seasonal clothing from Torrid. If you can't pick it up from a store you probably will not get it in time to use for current season. They run massive sales when they either can't process the orders or don't have control over the inventory system to insure the timetable given to customers and inventory available is actually realistic. It is almost a scam. I also ordered clothing with hope that it would at least be shipped in the slow timetable suggested but now two weeks later it has not even been processed when it was supposed to be in hand according to system.
I have been shopping at Torrid for many years and recently I made a pretty huge purchase. My t shirts were all 3x but were so inconsistent with sizes. Some were way too tight while others were way too big. Not to mention I bought two bras and they are legit some of the worst fitting bras I've ever worn. I cannot even return or exchange them because of their "final sale" rule which should not even apply to online orders. I wear a size DD and these bras fit more like a DDD and the quality is terrible. I bought a pair of boots that were my size 8 with wide calf and were still too small, but then again were also final sale so I can't return them. So Never ever again will I shop here online. You literally have to try on everything before you buy it otherwise you'll be out of hundreds of dollars like me.
I pay my Torrid card every month as my bank statement states. Torrid say my payments arent showing up on their end! What?!
Thats funny because their company is definitely taking payments on my end. I'm am paying off and never dealing with this crooked company TORRID again! Use cash in store only if you decide to shop there. Saving 15% is not worth crushing your credit score!
I've had my charge card for almost 3 years and get a letter that they lowered my credit limit, are you kidding me! I spent over 340 dollars on my charge card last month alone and paid it off in full in a month! Guess paying customers isn't what Torrid actually wants! Won't be spending another dime in this store again
Just ok. The clothes are very expensive. Even other plus sized clothes stores are reasonable. I used to like this site but it's very costly. Shipping used to be $10 or so but they dropped it a little thankfully.
I ordered clothes before as per sizing chart and have been clothes that were too small or too big. You have to send back returns on your dime--of course.
Don't bother paying for faster shipping, it's very slow. Buy elsewhere. Save yourself stress and money!
This 'business' is a scam. Don't purchase anything from them because customer services is unable to solve any customer problems and you might just end up losing some hard-earned money. They were unwilling to cancel the order, correct my email, or refund me my money.
Quality is hit or miss, mostly miss these days. I've spent tons of money there over the years and the prices go up but the quality has gone down. Good luck getting a refund when you make a return. I'm in the middle of a dispute on my credit card for a refund of $243 they owe me. I sent proof they received the package, received an email it could take 14 business days for the refund (website says 1 to 2 weeks, no business days mentioned) and here it is a month later and still nothing and now they are no longer answering my emails. They've lost me as a customer.
So easy to use and find exactly what you're looking for. I check in weekly at a minimum to see new products. They send email coupons and reminders, without crossing the threshold of spam. Love this store, love the site.
Torrid sells clothes that look good online but are nothing like the items you order. Everything is poorly made from ridiculously thin fabric and it's all manufactured in China. They sell their products for way more than they are worth and the sizing is never continuously the same. Even with sales and promotions, Torrid is a huge waste of money.
Torrid has this top, i literally can not find anywhere. They sweeten the deal so it was tempting! Luckily I read reviews and found I more than likely would not even receive said price. And customer service stinks. Thanks everyone who got a shorty deal for being vocal. Torrid will never get me as a customer! Thanks to your reviews! Looks like Torrid needs step up their A game!
If I could give 0 stars I would. "Supervisor " hung up on me, I guess because I was angry for being lied to, ordered cancelled twice, even after bank authorization, and told that I gave fraudulent info,, kind of think I had a right to be angry. Don't waste your time!
They carry mainly outdated granny style clothes for plus size women because of course who would wanna see a bigger girl in anything stylish or cute really overpriced as well because there's virtually no where else for plus size ppl to shop. Really sucks.
Really the best selection of cute plus size clothes. Significantly more cotton and rayon options than competitors. Clothes are typically good quality (but occasionally have designs easily damaged in washer) clothing, the majority of shoes are not great quality - but they are also one of the few stores I can find boots that fit my calves.
Prices are generally excessive - but they have a number of excellent sales.
It is inconsistent whether you can leave a review - which is frustrating.
They charged me $88 for shipping then cancelled one of my items, in spite of it still being available at a higher price on their website, as the result of a "website glitch" (their words). They didn't refund me the portion of shipping involved, and when I asked if they could just send the dress, as it is in fact available, they said I could call back and re-order it. I live in Australia. I'm not available when they're open and international call costs are through the roof, let alone paying yet more exorbitant shipping. They could've solved this so easily by just adding the dress back to my order, or refunding part of my shipping.
Bunch of scam artists who don't give a damn.
This company is a joke. I made two purchases. Ended up not getting anything. Delta with horrible customer service. Even the president is horrible. They offered me 20 which was a joke. I placed the orders and three weeks later find out my orders were cancelled. They don't care about their customers. I will never shop there again!
Torrid is extremely slow to ship their products, taking weeks to deliver. They also take months to process returns or do not process them at all. They do not follow through on their promises to process refunds. Buyer beware and shop with caution. It has been three months and they have done nothing but lead on with lies. Shame on you Torrid. Enjoy my money a$$holes.
Torrid in Willow Grove Mall has the best customer service from start to finish,
The girls always help both me and my daughter find just the right clothes!
I find their clothes excellent quality and they last for years.
Pricey but worth it.
I personally love this store. The prices are a bit outrageous though. Being a plus sized girl on a budget is tough, especially when a lot of their items are so beautiful, and look actually flattering, but the price is a little rough for me to swallow. Never had an issue with customer service/returns. I ordered online once, and selected the wrong dress. Not only did they happily return it for me, but matched the online cost i got with coupons and free shipping to store.
I hope if anyone has ever had to return anything after using a gift card to pay, they have had better luck than me. It's been over a month since they received the items back from me and they still have not sent me a new gift card worth over $80. I have called multiple times and always end up speaking to a supervisor who tells me they will send the request up to someone in the back office to review. NO ONE is reviewing anything! I am now calling them on a daily basis until they refund that money to me. HORRIBLE customer service and torrid has lost this customer for good.
My sister is mentally ill and opened a credit card on her own at a store. I was unable to help my sister over the last few months due to my boyfriend killing himself in January. I recently went down to check on my sister and she had not opened her mail in over six months. I called the company and pleaded with them to forgive 200+$ in late fees and interest since my sister works on a waitress' salary. The company had no empathy for my sister or I. They told me there is nothing they can do other than forgive ONE $35 late fee. This company is greedy and has no morals. They take advantage of people with disabilities and do not deserve your business. They have lost my entire family's business.
Answer: I recently returned an item after waiting more than two weeks for delivery. It took almost a month for them to respond and acknowledge that they received the returned item. I never wore the item (shoes) because they were too small and Torrid only refunded 1/2 of the purchase price. RIP OFF!
Answer: They are the most consistent in sizes that I have found - so depends on what store you are comparing them to and your body shape. I am kind of boxed shape (except for cutting in under the bust I am big everywhere) - they run smaller than Lane Bryant for me - but for my friend who is chest heavy she wears the same sizes at both. In comparison to most regular sized stores I size down - like I am a 4x at Old Navy - a 3x at Torrid.
Answer: It's totally normal, unfortunately. I'm on day 13 now and was told today it would be another 7 days before my order shipped.
Answer: DON'T ORDER SHOES FROM THEM! I recently returned a pair of sandals that did not fit. I returned them the next day and fortunately returned via UPS so I had a tracking number. It took almost a month to get an acknowledgement that they received the return ONLY because I kept sending them the UPS proof of delivery, and then ---- THEY ONLY REFUNDED HALF THE PURCHASE PRICE!
