I tried to make a return on the website for two weeks but kept getting a "try again later" message, contacted customer service via chat and waited for over an hour as the agent kept saying "so sorry! I'll send your return label soon! Thanks so much!" and after an extended wait time was ASSURED that I would receive a return label by mail. Well, it's been a week of waiting, checking my spam folder for the label, which is clearly NEVER coming. Be careful what you buy from Torrid because it will be yours forever.
I attempted to purchase a simple $100 gift card for my daughter on line using my credit card. Torrid would not allow the charge to go through unless I got my bank to give me some sort of authorization code. That is absurd. I asked to talk to a supervisor. Same result. Who do these people think they are? How do they stay in business?
The prices have only gone up and the customer service has gone down. Shipping, order fulfillment, and response time in 2022 is in the GARBAGE. Waited over 3 weeks for my last 2 orders, when they came they were missing items (stolen or cancelled, I've had both.) Current order is at 20 days and no response on shipping. I have been a loyal customer for many years, but Torrid has proven they don't give a crap about their fanbase. Horrible service, horrible shipping, and prices only continue to go up. I'm done.
Ordered May 1,22. Today is May 13,22
Still "pending" contacted the only emails to find, and no response only sends me back to the website. This has never been a problem previously but that was about a year ago. Will never order again. They took the payment fast enough!
I recently made an online purchase using my Torrid rewards. Three weeks later, the order has not been shipped. I called customer service to cancel the order and after holding for 45 minutes to speak to someone, they inform me it is their policy that they are unable to cancel the order. The look and quality of their clothing has decreased in the last couple of years, but I have continued to purchase from them for lack of choices in other stores. This may be the last straw for me though... By the way, what good are Torrid rewards if when you go in the store everything is usually buy one get one 50% off anyway? Doesn't sound like much of a reward to me... Get it together Torrid!
The sizing has been consistent most of the time. The clothes are cute and this year they have more design options than just skulls on everything. I'm very careful when I buy and make sure I'm sure. I have never returned anything because of the difficulty in doing it. They do not come with a shipping label and there is not a way to order online. Some sale items are no returnable final sales so be careful with that. I have found the sport bras very inconsistent in size. The arms on the t shirts used to be too tight, but they seemed to have fixed that issue. I find their sizing to be more consistent than modcloth. I continue to buy from them very carefully.
I ordered something on 5/13. It didn't arrive until 6/1. The shoes didn't fit. The straps stuck way out from my foot. They want me to return to store or pay $6 shipping. The item was so faulty though... I don't feel like I should have to spend my money to return it.
I want first to state that the girls at the stores that I go to are great. They have awesome attitudes at the one in Homestead and the one at South Hills Village. That said, the clothing fashion has gone downhill tremendously. On top of that, if you have a problem, customer service will belittle you and treat you less than a supposed "special VIP Patron". My daughter and I spend quite a bit of money at torrid and we were treated very unfairly for $4. Long story short, there was a late fee tacked on to my daughter's account which she thought she had paid off in full. It appears that she paid all but $1.58. She talked to someone who promised to waive the fee. Months later my daughter was still receiving late payment notices for the $1.58 plus additional late fees. She no longer wanted to deal with it and finally just closed her account. Rather than keep her as a customer, they took $4 and list two customers. Im closing my account too.
Returned a pair of rain boots never worn, two days after receiving them in the mail to a local store. They were not on clearance. Store sale clerk gave me $5.64 refund for a pair of boots I paid $32.89 for. Refuses to make the correct adjustment. Told me I had to pass their inability to correct a mistake to my credit card company. The only way to get a full refund is to dispute the charges with the credit card company. I fell like i have been robbed. If Torrid really needs to keep the $27.25 owed to me. They can. But that just makes them a low down company.
I've spent a lot of money at torrid and I'm disappointed in the quality. Almost all my dress pants have flared elastic pieces come what area the coat that I bought in there in the Under Arm and it is not tight on me whatsoever. Numerous bras that I've bought from all of the wires come out. The clothes are beautiful at first but quickly Wear
No returns address to be found ANYWHERE. 3 email requests for address ignored. Nothing in the bag my blouse came in to indicate anything other than whats in the bag. Therefore, I am going to tell my bank/ ebay to take payment back since this is shady business. I will never purchase anything from this place again. Oh, & the quality of their clothing is awful.
Torrid only sent one item and then the rest of my order was not yet shipped 8 days later. Customer Service told me that I was unable to cancel the remainder of my order due to it being "partially shipped." Terrible business practice.
11 days ago I placed an order on torrid.com. My order still had not shipped. Torrid's website states that orders ship within 1 to 2 business days. Not sure whats going on over at Torrid. Are they going out of business? Maybe they should if they are not delivering goods as promised. If Torrid ever decides to ship my order it will be my last order placed with them. Their customer service has a don't give crap attitude as well.
Excellent plus size clothes. They are very fashionable with very affordable prices. There sales people, are very helpful. My only complaint is a lot, of their shoes are made from manmade materials. They also have stores in Canada. Id really recommend them, for all plus size women, but especially women that are new to plus size fashion.
The store experience has been phenomenal. Customer service not so much. It's been almost 2 months and 5 calls and still no card. Every response is it will be 2 more days. Nothing in almost 60 more days. If it does not come by the promised date this time, I am paying the bill, closing the account, and letting everyone I know in the professional space FIRST know how poor the customer service folks up is.
This business is amazing. I am so glad they have awesome clothing for plus sized women. Their fit is just right, their prices are ok for the products they produce but they usually always have sales. Their customer service is amazing. I'm an avid online shopper of here. I could spend hours looking at all their products. Highly recommend this place.
Torrid has really cute items, but the issue is the quality is terrible. I have had four tops fall apart on my in less than 1 month of use in the last 1-3 years. I generally tend to wear loose as I'm self-conscious and don't want ever roll/dimple/etc. Showing, so my clothes aren't being pushed to their limits, yet the seams keep ripping or coming undone (even in areas where the fabric isn't pulling at all). They seem to not handle the wash cycle well at all because they're so poorly constructed. I'm done purchasing from here, and just buy from Lane Bryant. The quality there, though still not fantastic, is much better than Torrid. Such a shame.
The quality of the clothing has really gone downhill while their prices have skyrocketed. Their Lingerie is probably the worst I've ever owned, panties last maybe a month while most of my bra's from there snap, tear, or just rip within weeks. Their current fashion is so out of date that it's pushing the stigma that we plus size wearers should only wear bold prints or dark clothing. Also, cold shoulder sweaters are everywhere in their store that it makes me a bit sick. It used to be the store that I would love to shop at when I was in middle and high school, their fashion was on par with any other brand that geared towards teens and young adults. Now it just feels like Lane Bryant plus animal print. No thank you!
Torrid has the worst customer service. The lady I spoke to on the phone was so rude. She offered zero help. I had a few questions regarding shipping to canada she was no help just rude and brushed me off. I never experienced anything like that in my life. I will not shop at Torrid again.
Torrid has customer service that can't resolve anything no matter how hard you try. I haven't received refunds in multiple orders and it's made me cancel my credit card. I notice a pattern with them, if an item is actually on sale they cancel the order or it never ships. If you try to rebuy that item for full price it ships immediately. They deserve to go under as a company because they are shady. All my orders from the last 2 months were canceled.
Answer: I recently returned an item after waiting more than two weeks for delivery. It took almost a month for them to respond and acknowledge that they received the returned item. I never wore the item (shoes) because they were too small and Torrid only refunded 1/2 of the purchase price. RIP OFF!
Answer: They are the most consistent in sizes that I have found - so depends on what store you are comparing them to and your body shape. I am kind of boxed shape (except for cutting in under the bust I am big everywhere) - they run smaller than Lane Bryant for me - but for my friend who is chest heavy she wears the same sizes at both. In comparison to most regular sized stores I size down - like I am a 4x at Old Navy - a 3x at Torrid.
Answer: It's totally normal, unfortunately. I'm on day 13 now and was told today it would be another 7 days before my order shipped.
Answer: DON'T ORDER SHOES FROM THEM! I recently returned a pair of sandals that did not fit. I returned them the next day and fortunately returned via UPS so I had a tracking number. It took almost a month to get an acknowledgement that they received the return ONLY because I kept sending them the UPS proof of delivery, and then ---- THEY ONLY REFUNDED HALF THE PURCHASE PRICE!
