I knew my resume needed a refresh, but was stuck on how to better describe myself. I found the process very straightforward and easy to complete. I provided some basic information along with my resume, and the resume writer took all that I shared and compiled an excellent version of a resume and a cover letter that I can use. I appreciated the opportunity to review & comment on the document in the draft stage. I am very happy with the final result!
My resume came back full of run-on poorly constructed sentences and unnecessarily hyphenated words. It's clear that whoever wrote it had no concept of the sectors I support (technology, media & entertainment and telecommunications) and wasn't a native speaker of English. My cover letter is clunky to read and I would, frankly, be embarrassed to submit it anywhere. My LinkedIn profile makes erroneous claims about my experience that are patently false and were not even alluded to in the documents I submitted. Edits I sent on the 5th were not completed until the 10th, and were completed poorly. This was a bad experience and a waste of money. My documents are unusable, and the process took so long that if I had been waiting on these materials to apply to a specific role, the posting would have closed before I received the documents even though I paid for expedited service.
Additionally, as soon as you purchase something from top resume you will receive several emails a day trying to sell additional services like thank you letters and interview skills workshops.
I was given so much hype in the email I received and all things they would do to "fix" my resume. Literally all they did was move the same phrases and words around. When I was unimpressed and required a refund (it was expensive), I was ignored. The other big problem is that I am in Canada and it's an American company. We do business VERY differently up here and a resume needs to reflect that. I give them a big ZERO for poor customer service and wasting my time and money.
At the same time, I found out that I submitted my CV in vain and that no matter how hard I tried to get in the graces of an employer, I would get in trouble. I better let them find me...

I had never worked with a professional resume writing company, so it was a new experience. It was an eye opening experience to see how employers viewed by resume and how it could improve to showcase what I am capable of doing. The questionnaire was helpful in forcing me to think about myself and the things I've done in my career and where I want to go and move towards. My writer, Jonathan R., was very nice and prompt. He did a wonderful job in taking what I thought was just a mess of information that I gave him and turning it into a very professional resume. Working with him was helpful and it was a smooth process.
The initial questionnaire was tricky as it did not take into consideration any experience other than could be proved with figures or awards. During the process with the writer it became clear that he had no clue about my job and what it is all about. He had a toolbox of phrases and sentences and he helped to shorten the CV and make it more concise but it was hard to bring a logical flow into it. I have revised also the LinkedIn page but so far I haven't received any request from interested companies / headhunters in spite of the promises. I doubt if I would do it again.

Sent in my old ratty a$$ resume for a do over. It came back looking like a shiny diamond. I just hope I can live up to the new and improved hype I posses. Now let's see if the calls come pouring in.

I had to file with the BBB to get a refund after never being contacted. This is a SCAM company - you are better off writing your own resume, trust me on this

I've been assigned 3 different writers and have received a subpar product back each time, written by someone who's first language is clearly not English. The best part, I paid $100+ for a "LinkedIn Rewrite" and this was where the writer copied and pasted their version of my resume into the boxes for LinkedIn. You've got to be kidding me... Don't waste your money!
