I wasn't sure if they would be able to convert my resume since I work in a industrial plant. The outcome was outstanding, Mary N. Did an excellent job. I'm so grateful because she pulled out what I had in my head but I didn't know how to put it in words. I'm glad I listened to my spirit and did this because this is going to be a game changer in my "new career".
The writer did a good job of updating an existing resume (making the format more modern and cleaning up/focusing my work experience). So from a content update standpoint, the experience was positive. The let down occurred when I asked the writer several questions and instead of answering the questions the writer tossed another resume update at me. The two way conversation was lacking.
The service was slow, took me about a month to receive my resume but thankfully I wasn't in a hurry and was contacted by a customer service representative before I even reached out regarding an apology on delay and estimated time to completion and offered a free cover letter. My assigned agent was very responsive and provided a few drafts. I see now where my resume needed improvement and I'm glad I chose this service.
Top resume was recommended to me and I'm very glad I utilized them. I did need to go back through and make adjustments after working with them to adjust verbiage and things of that nature, but for the price, I definitely feel like I have a solid new resume, focused on results. They did a really good job drawing that out, and even feel like the whole process prepped me well for interviews.
Received my first draft almost 3 weeks after placing my order, well beyond the "5-7 business days" turnaround that was promised. Efforts to communicate with the writer and the company resulted in either no response or an apologetic response assuring me my resume was on it's way. The first draft was underwhelming to say the least. Save your money and look elsewhere.
I have not had to look for a job in over 15 years! I knew my resume needed help! I had a great experience with this resume service! I was contacted immediately by my writer and got results fast. Leslee did amazing work! The final product was much better than I had expected! I have sent the new version out to three new job postings and have interviews set up for two of them! I would recommend this service to anyone wanting to bring their resume up to date! You won't be disappointed!
If you are looking to have a resume written, re-written, or a LInkedIn profile updated - please look elsewhere. I contracted TopResume to do a resume update and an LinkedIn profile update. The first pass they did at the resume was amateurish. Horrible formatting, fonts and font sizes intermixed, and showed no concept of how to present the material for my background. After complaining and waiting over a week, they finally assigned another writer. Based on the delays and poor quality work, I requested that they cancel my order. Their response was that they couldn't cancel because they already delivered some work. They did nothing on the LinkedIn profile, and the draft they gave me on the resume was completely unusable.
Find a writer that you can make a personal connection with and talk via phone. TopResume doesn't, they only communicate via email.
This is the second time I have used this service. My experience the second time around was not that great. The resume writer did respond prompt and did a decent formatting job. I just don't feel like there was enough interaction to really give me a power packed resume review/critique. I think the look of my resume is easier to read, but I also feels like it is generic. I know I have the freedom to edit or not use it, however for the money you pay I don't feel like it was worth it. I can easily look up resumes online and copy the format of those and come up with my own verbiage structure. I trusted these so called professional writers and I just wasn't please this time around. I will not be using this service anymore. Since, I have received the resume from TopResume, I have applied to about 30 jobs and I have received few hits/responses with the new resume/cover letter.
I recently decided to update my resume and decided that the resume I created years ago was tired-looking, visually unappealing, and too long (2 pages). Armand, the resume writer with Top Resume, did a great job reviving my resume, focusing on my skill sets, and efficiently delivering the product within only a couple of days.

I worked with Jen S on tailoring my resume. At first I felt my resume was good as it was, however, after having it reviewed, felt there was some improvement that could be made. Jen took my resume to amazing. I've only applied to a few positions with the new resume, but have already received interviews, which I do not think is a coincidence I'm getting after the update. She was professional and courteous and only a few very minor minor items were updated. Thanks to Jen S for all the hardwork.

This is a very unprofessional company. They give you one week and then tell you edit the product yourself. They do not use writers that are familiar with the fields they are writing the resumes for and charge extra for Linked in profile but merely give you text that you have to copy and paste. Don't use this service!
I had never worked with a professional resume writing company, so it was a new experience. It was an eye opening experience to see how employers viewed by resume and how it could improve to showcase what I am capable of doing. The questionnaire was helpful in forcing me to think about myself and the things I've done in my career and where I want to go and move towards. My writer, Jonathan R., was very nice and prompt. He did a wonderful job in taking what I thought was just a mess of information that I gave him and turning it into a very professional resume. Working with him was helpful and it was a smooth process.
I purchased the Executive Priority package and was well pleased with the results. The process actually made me review my work history and various work experiences in a different way that highlighted the value of my accomplishments. While I already had some ideas of how to improve my resume, TopResume gave me new ideas and points of direction on how to build it. I really enjoyed the personalized feedback and key-word search overview they provided me. They gave me specific phrases from my resume and helped me change my wording to attract employers more. It is also very enlightening to see what is highlighted from my resume through the key-word searches.
Great service and I wish I had know about it earlier. Tiffany J (my resume writer) was excellent and she was able to put my qualifications on paper, using both the correct words and format.
