Please know that the high ratings on this site are the result of TopResume bribing its customers by offering Amazon cards for positive reviews. This was a horrible waste of time and money. After receiving my first resume and cover letter, which were riddled with poor spelling and grammar, the resume writer disappeared. After a few days, I was assigned another writer, delaying the process further. This resume contained job descriptions that in no way resembled my work experience. It seemed she hadn't even read the information I sent her. After a third resume, I gave up and considered this a loss.
I 've had a good experience with both the simple process and the assigned writer who tried to address my concerns quickly and efficiently. I recommend this service to all who'd need a streamlined version and fresh update for their resume.
They evaluated my resume as being poor but I while I send them for modifications they modified just a few words. Their customer care completely out of topic. Do not send your resume to them, you will pay money for nothing,

This company actually sent MY OLD resumes to my credit card company claiming them as proof of work product. There was never any work done for me by this company. I purchased the $219 package and they've done nothing but harass, lie to me along with hundreds of other complaints on the BBB website. Wish I'd of consulted them instead of trusting the positive online reviews.
I send my resume to TopResume and the turnaround time was fast. The analysis was detailed and showed the overall impression. They also provided suggestions on how to improve my resume including but not limited to cleaning up to make it more concise, using stronger verbs to create an impact, and lastly, showcasing outcomes not what I have achieved. After reading another review on another site, it didn't surprise me that the "critiques" (which was almost instantaneous) were practically identical. After 1week of paying my fee, all I received was an automated response. Following an email expressing my concern, I was offered a refund to cancel or a 25% discount. I accepted the discount, and was immediately "assigned" a writer. Three days later, a full two weeks after payment, I had still not been contacted by a writer at all, despite sending several emails to my "order####" email with additional information.
This is a very critical service they are offering at a pretty hefty price. Better communication is not that hard.
I asked for a refund and again, immediately received an agreeable response. Not sure where the ball was dropped, but it's time to spend my money with someone who WANTS my business.
I knew that going through a resume writer would be a good idea, but I had no idea the level of confidence that it would give me when applying to positions! I know that I am a qualified and strong candidate, but using TopResume really made me feel like I could prove it before getting in front of an interviewer. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new position.
I order the regular package of resume. The draft was okay presented, but it didn't suit what I was looking for nor my needs. I repeatedly asked (3 times) to enter a skill and convert the very long resume into 1 page vs two pages. I had 3 jobs in the course of 12 years which I feel only one page resume is needed. So, to avoid anymore back and forward and time wasting I accepted the way it is and will polish it my self.
The whole time you are asking questions by email are not being answered on the replies, it seems that this service is being done by someone overseas because the emails will come at very late/random hours of the night and the replies are very generic with the same context on every email. I will recommend you to do your research before acquiring the service.
I paid for the whole package, you know the one that will have your resume back ASAP. I figured out it was a scam when at 24 hours all I got was an email from someone saying they are on it. My resume was a copy and paste from different places, using fancy words but with zero research into what my job is and what would make me stand out, based on my 2 decades of experience in my profession.
The writer's second revision came a week later, right before the 7 days deadline. All she changed on the revision was the file name, it was now called rev2.
Bottom line: Don't buy this service. The customer service is poor, the resumes are written by someone who doesn't research into what they are supposed to be writing and all you get is a bunch of spam offering you more services.
