Buying tickets from this site always makes me nervous since so many people have had bad experiences, but events I've paid for have always gone smoothly for me thru ticketfly! I've gotten tickets for a concert, a music festival/day long event and a few other music shows and it's always gone fine. These have, however, been shows where the actual event page links customers straight to ticketfly to buy tickets, so maybe there's a difference in assurance when that is the case. If you're looking at buying tickets on ticketfly simply because they're cheaper, maybe that's not your best bet! But like I said, the ones where the legitimate event site sends you directly to ticketfly for ticket purchases (in my cases anyway) tend to work out fine!
I bought two tickets through them. $25.00 each. Went through the whole purchase process only to find out at the end that each ticket came with an additional $8.30 "Service Charge." When I tried to undo the transaction, all I got was, "No refunds." Outrageous phony "Service Charges" like this will ensure I'll never buy through Ticketfly again. Awful!
Ticketfly takes your money but cant get through on the phone or get an email reply
Regarding refunds for a concert rescheduled from May 1 to Oct. 5. I guess they just
Plan on keeping peoples money including interest. Deadline for refunds is tomorrow.
They only give you less than week to request a refund.
If I could give negative stars they'd be at a negative ten. I paid the shipping fee for my tickets and they never arrived, I called and was on hold for 15 minutes. I got a pdf if my tickets then asked for the money refunded that I paid for tickets since they weren't shipped to me, customer service LIED and said they were shipped the same month (December) I bought them which isn't true because I called them in February and they had told me the tickets weren't printed yet! So how could they have been shipped in December when they weren't even printed 2 months later?! They refused to refund me the shipping costs, never buying from this SCAM of a site.
While it's easy to get tickets, it isn't easy to change information (e.g. Email account). I tried calling because you apparently cannot do this online, and they kept me on hold for about ten minutes before I got impatient and hung up. All I wanted to do was change my email address to receive my mobile ticket. I don't see why that should be a problem.
Terrible customer service. Was told online to contact their customer service number to inquire about their wheelchair accessibility. When asking the question if they had accessible seating, and whether or not we needed to purchase the seating through telephone, they had no idea what we were talking about. They didn't know the answers, all they could say was "I think you just buy general admission, but you might have to contact the venue itself". Well why would they give me their number for these questions if they were clueless. Called on two separate occasions, and both times were clueless.
It, overall, was not the worst experience I have had in my life. I bought tickets for an 18+ show, and had to sign for the package. Suffice to say I was not home and could not pick it up in the city at the UPS store so it got sent back to their offices. They contacted me, left me voice mails, and when I called back I think it was a very organized system. They made it back to me in time, and while I have not seen the show yet, I did get the tickets in time.
Now, the prices were in United States currency, and as a Canadian when my card was charged more than advertised I was alarmed. Since the show is happening in Canada. They were marked up quite a lot from the normal $80.00 CAD to the $93.45 USD Which is $ 123.33 CAD That is a huge mark up from the original 80.
So if you want good, affordable tickets don't buy through TicketFly. Usually the venue will have a link to where you can buy tickets, that aren't marked up a boat load.
But they were nice, and professional. So overall not horrible.
I spoke with Devin through email and they were able to change the name on my will call ticket because i had accidentally put my preferred name instead of my legal name. This stopped me from having to buy a whole new ticket and I am greatly appreciated of Devin.
Recently tried to get my money back on tickets that I accidentally purchased when their website timed out on me right as I pushed the "purchase" button. Had no clue the transaction actually went through. When I showed up at the venue they told me I had purchased double of the tickets I had planned to purchase. When I called to receive a refund and explain what happened they did nothing for me. Even after I explained it was their website that timed out on me before I could complete my purchase. The customer service was terrible, not helpful and didn't care to hear my side of the story. I would not recommend purchasing from this company, if you can help it.
The website is very difficult to use. I kept trying to review seating and each time it added additional tickets to my order. I finally was able to delete them but somehow I wound up with two general admission tickets along with my reserved seat. I have tried calling but you only are put on hold forever and they will not help you. All sales are final. Will attempt to have my order cancelled by American Express and NEVER use this site again.
I really hate ticket companies that charge me a service fee and then force me to use $5 worth of ink to print tickets. They are already paid big money from the company that advertises, plus my fee, plus ink. I just called them to ask how can I remove this prior to printing and they were very rude, and sarcastically gave me answers like "you can print it somewhere else if you don't want to use your ink". Really sad.
I bought 1 ticket for a show 6 months from now. It charged me for 4 tickets and a 30 dollar service charge. Thank god i had 160 bucks in my checking account. No customer service. If I have to eat all these tickets, I'm going to kill someone.
After one hour on waiting for customer service, they told me that the waiting time is no more than 30 minutes. LIE! I was shaking so bad because this is unacceptable. How can the company CEO let this happen to his customers? RUDE! RUDE! RUDE.
What a pain. The ticketfly email field when creating an account has auto spell check encoded to it... that's my guess. Regardless why or how, my email address is incorrect so I can't access my account, but someone else can... whoever's email is tied to my account. Most website account setups require an email authentication in creating the account before you can take further actions. They are beyond difficult and unreasonable in trying to fix this problem with my account email address. I don't trust them. An easy fix that remains broken.
Ticketfly has a policy of not offering credit or refunds for tickets that don't arrive in the mail, yet were unable to be converted to print-at-home.
Given that they lack a self-service option for converting tickets to print-at-home and their offices close at 6pm PST it has now happened twice that I realize my tickets didn't arrive in the mail, yet am unable to print replacements or call their offices.
The customer service agent event admitted that customers complain about this frequently since the venues don't get access to ticketfly's system. You THINK that a recurring problem would prompt a solution. Apparently not.
Their site said there was a problem with my card so I tried a different one. It said it would not go thru, maybe my address did not match. I went out of it and tried again and it went thru. They charged one card twice and another once. They ALL DID go thru. Forget trying to call. I waited on hold forever more than once and was hung up on. Now instead of enjoying my event, I'm going to take off half a days work to go by my financial institution to refuse charges and attempt to get my money back. They will get their tickets back because I will not be at any event with this type of association.
After purchasing tickets from Ticket Fly my credit card was skimmed. I do not think Ticket Fly is safe. My card number was quickly in the hands of criminals which made 10 clones of my card and charged it 10 times at 10 different Kroger locations around midnight all within 60 seconds of each other. Apparently this is a common skimming method to get the most money out of your account before the VISA fraud detection kicks in.
I hate how they don't have a refund option if you make a mistake or can't attend. They should have at least a 24 to 48 hour refund option. I'm also in the middle of calling them to ask if I can possibly switch my will-call ticket to a print-at-home instead; I've been on hold for 18 minutes now.
Website doesn't work at all, and no one is answering the phone. It's like they stopped even trying to scam people and take their money. You will have an easier time trying to find a needle in haystack. Like, seriously good luck trying to buy a ticket.
The ticket selling industry is a travesty. I paid a $17 fee to download and print my event tickets at home. This practice is keeping people without money from being able to go to cultural events around the city. I will also blame the venue for using this service. Disgusting.
