Christine Praxidio was very responsive and helpful. I was having issues updating my profile, and she provided easy-to-understand directions on fixing the issues. Thank yoU!
I wanted to share kudos for Monica Turibo, Customer Experience Advisor on her promptness and professionalism in responding to my request today. Thank you Monica!
Monica Toribio, Customer Experience Advisor, was very helpful. I rushed into signing up and do not think that I am at the right point. Very professional and undetrstanding.
Barbara dela Paz was very understanding to my frustration with finding a job using the site, and has provided first-class customer service in this process.
I reached out for assistance with an undeliverable email and Monica Toribio was amazing! She provided timely and competent assistance. Thank you, Monica!
Great customer experience with Barbara. She was quick to respond and give clear explanation to my questions
For anyone who is unaware Apply4Me applications are submitted using an email address created by Ladders which claims any responses from potential employers will be forwarded to the subscriber. There is no way for the subscriber to check this email box directly.
I recently became aware that Ladders maintains an internal 'suppression list' which subscribers are added to if they unsubscribe from Ladders marketing emails and for other reasons which customer service would not disclose to me. Subscribers are not, at any point, informed that they have been added to or are on this list. If you are on the suppression list, Ladders will continue to charge you for a subscription and submit applications for you but will NOT forward responses to you or, in any way, inform you that your application has received a response leaving the subscriber in the dark and the employer believing that you have ignored their attempts to contact you/schedule an interview/etc. I was able to confirm that multiple companies rejected my applications on account of my failure to respond to interview requests Ladders never forwarded to me.
After many, lengthy conversations with Ladders (including some with members of senior management) it is clear that they are aware of the problems this is causing but do not plan to notify their customers of the existence of the suppression list or provide customers with a way to check if they are on it or remove themselves from it other than contacting customer service. Additionally, even if someone does get customer service to remove them from the list they can be readded, again without notice or explanation. In light of this I would strongly caution against using Ladders, and especially the Apply4Me feature as it may be actively making it more difficult for you to find a job and they seem uninterested in fixing this critical issue.
They say they apply for jobs for you. When there is a unique question they fill it in with "The applicant is using Ladders.com to fill out the application. Please contact them." Having them apply for you is a joke.
I am trying to cancell my membership for several years now, they always give a number to confirm that it is cancelled, but nothing changes and they continue to charge my credit card. At this point my only option is to cancell my creditr card and losing my points at the airline. Don't recomend this membership to anyboody, it never helped me to find a job at all.
The Ladders looks good on paper. The reality is that the job matching feature is, in my view, quite poor. I've been a member for years but bottom line: Too much volume, not enough accurate matching. I have cancelled my membership. Good luck!
I went on Ladders because I was actively looking for a job. I paid for their premium service and paid I think 30 bucks for 3 months. This site is geared for executives, so it may or may not be the headhunter for you, however - it's legit, no scams.
After reading about other headhunter sites I am glad I had no trouble with Ladders.
I was an educated fool and paid to join this site, thinking they would assist me. I saw nothing from this site that lead me to my current job. It wasn't anything they did. There were no jobs that they found me. They simply took my money and offered nothing of any value in return. I look forward to seeing the NY Attorney General take this site down and take them down hard! If I could rate them 0 stars I would.
I've been disappointed by the quality and the applicability of the postings that I've found and received. It is for this reason that I cancelled my premium membership. That said my customer service rep was very good supporting me.
Not only is TheLadders a scam, it has been written up by Harvard University as a case of no value and scam. See HBR link below.
They never have any valid job postings for execs - in the rare event ifthey do, they can be found on other free sites like simplyhired. Not worth it!

Hi Joe-
Thanks for your feedback and sharing that 2008/2009 study by Harvard! You'll see in the report that, early in Ladders existence, "we [didn't] accept money from hiring companies". A lot has changed since 2009- especially the way we source and vet jobs. Aside from the obvious- our jobs pay $100K and above and we have a continually-improving vetting process around that- we've built lasting relationships with companies and recruiters that have a vested interest in interviewing and hiring via our jobsite, leading us to have more engaged users on both sides of the house (jobseekers and recruiters). We are excited to have turned the ship around and hope you give us another shot next time you're looking for a job! We're happy to offer you a free month of our premium subscription for your valuable feedback. Cheers!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY... FRAUD! Bait and switch as they do not have many of the jobs they post. They post old jobs over and over... that never existed. The real jobs they do have are advertised all over the internet for free! You can Google Bad reviews all of the net for the Ladders. They have no jobs but they want to write resumes for you for 250.00 and charge 90+ in fees for nothing.
Hi Lane-
Thanks for your feedback- we understand and have been working so hard to improve this user experience over the past decade. In fact, we are working to lift our paywall so jobs can be viewed for free on our site- that way, our premium offer will be focused around our Apply4Me product- a tool used to help automate the time-consuming act of completing job applications. We've also been diligently working at improving our job monitoring to ensure that stale jobs are updated or removed within hours/days. We also provide many more free services to ensure every tier of member is getting max value. You can head to our site to check out the following free perks:
- 73 free downloadable and editable resume templates
- 73 free sets of behavioral interview questions and answers
- Free resume rewrite service
- Free automated resume review (typically looks for grammar and other syntax errors)
- Free expert articles with career advice
- Free Applicant Tracking System (ATS) analysis of your resume (AKA a peak into what your resume looks like in a recruiters' database)
We hope you give us another shot. Cheers!
Literally, every job that the Ladders recommended me as a remote job was in reality for a very specific location, all over the US and even in Europe.
Here are 3 "remote" jobs that The Ladders recommended me, when in reality they are for San Francisco CA, Lafayette LO, and Valencia Spain. This is the literal definition of fraud.
Hi George-
Thank you for your feedback! We realized that, too, and put some development work in to make our remote matches more accurate and update our job postings more frequently. We hope this helps make your experience more positive.
Customer service has been good, but the algorithm on finding jobs and my end result has not been good.
Personal data collection, intention is to collect and lead you on as I found out the hard way on a Friday night.
Hi Gary-
Thank you for your feedback! Yes, our Apply4Me product intentionally collects your written responses to 17 common interview questions when you sign up for a premium account. Once you provide this information, download our Chrome extension and find a job you want to apply to, simply hit the Chrome extension button and our team applies on your behalf, then sends you a confirmation with an application receipt. Our intent is for you to be aware of exactly what data we collect for your job application, and we only collect the information you input yourself. If you aren't interested in providing this data, we totally get it and offer a free membership account too.
We hope this information helps!
Melanie was very helpful. She is an asset to Ladders and especially for me as a candidate with a unique skill set and credentials
I made a request to have my profile removed as I have long been retired. It was immediately accommodated.
The Ladders has a rating of 2.7 stars from 105 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. The Ladders ranks 76th among Job Search sites.
