For anyone who is unaware Apply4Me applications are submitted using an email address created by Ladders which claims any responses from potential employers will be forwarded to the subscriber. There is no way for the subscriber to check this email box directly.
I recently became aware that Ladders maintains an internal 'suppression list' which subscribers are added to if they unsubscribe from Ladders marketing emails and for other reasons which customer service would not disclose to me. Subscribers are not, at any point, informed that they have been added to or are on this list. If you are on the suppression list, Ladders will continue to charge you for a subscription and submit applications for you but will NOT forward responses to you or, in any way, inform you that your application has received a response leaving the subscriber in the dark and the employer believing that you have ignored their attempts to contact you/schedule an interview/etc. I was able to confirm that multiple companies rejected my applications on account of my failure to respond to interview requests Ladders never forwarded to me.
After many, lengthy conversations with Ladders (including some with members of senior management) it is clear that they are aware of the problems this is causing but do not plan to notify their customers of the existence of the suppression list or provide customers with a way to check if they are on it or remove themselves from it other than contacting customer service. Additionally, even if someone does get customer service to remove them from the list they can be readded, again without notice or explanation. In light of this I would strongly caution against using Ladders, and especially the Apply4Me feature as it may be actively making it more difficult for you to find a job and they seem uninterested in fixing this critical issue.
At first, I was super skeptical but decided to give Ladders a try. I have always worked with a recruiter but they really didn't have much when it came to sales roles. After signing up I downloaded their chrome plugin and WOW. Those companies that make you re-create your resume just to apply are long over. The chrome extension not only filled out everything for me, but I could also use it as many times as needed which helped me save hours. Literally. It is absolutely worth the cost. Found a new role in less than 90 days. Highly recommend.
I reached out to tech support as I noticed ladders has pulled out job positing, but had the info " about us" from a different company. Also, the salary estimations were much higher for some of the positions, and I wanted to change that as well.
Christine responded immediately and addressed the issue. She also followed up with an email to make sure I have all the changes I need. Thank you for your attention to details and the quick follow up.
Respectfully,
Natalia
Really appreciated help from Christine P, my customer service support person, who helped me navigate a cancellation on my subscription. I cancelled because I found a new job 24 months ago (thanks to Ladders) but no longer need the service since I'm quite happy in my new role. Christine walked me through the process which included my account which has/had two different email addresses. Big thanks to Christine and Ladders! Take advantage of their wonderful service and support staff! They are the best in the business!
Christine Praxidio has been a big help today navigating the Ladders job search site. She was professional and took the time to consult with a colleague to ensure she was getting the information I needed. She shared screenshots and clear explanations. Thanks to employees like Christine, it is a positive experience to search on Ladders.
These guys work out of a commercial mail box in Manhattan. No onsite offices or staff to speak of.
Their supposed job "leads" are often months old, and their algorithms spam users with totally irrelevant material.
The Ladders looks good on paper. The reality is that the job matching feature is, in my view, quite poor. I've been a member for years but bottom line: Too much volume, not enough accurate matching. I have cancelled my membership. Good luck!
Barbara del Paza was very helpful this morning on chat and she escalated the issue quickly and it was resolved within a short period of time. Excellent customer service!
I had initial used Ladders when I started my job search but soon found placement. I had a charge on my credit card but contact customer service and they reversed the charge seeing that I had no activity against the account. I will call upon Ladders in the future based on this positive experience.
Thanks so much again to Ladders and Monica for the speedy response and action.
I submitted a request and Monica helped me with the friendliest and quickest service I've received from anyone in quite a while. I had multiple questions and each was answered speedily and with such kindness. Thank you.!
Melanie called me to advise me that I needed to take action on application i submitted. The role was very interesting to me so I am grateful for her follow - also with an email. Thank you Melanie!

I recently requested to purchase contacts for the wrong job/company. Totally my error. I submitted a service request indicating my error and requested the intended contacts. Less than 24 hours later, I received the requested (but not wanted) contacts, quickly followed by a response to my service request. Monica Toribio in support offered a 1 time exception to address my mistake and had the desired contacts sent to me immediately. Great customer service should always be acknowledged and appreciated!
Christine was very helpful and was a major factor in my having a good experience. I needed to cancel my current subscription and she went above and beyond to make sure my request was handled properly.
My Ladders subscription has been dormant for several months due to a career change. Christine Praxidio helped me change my subscription to something that better fit my current needs. She was polite, and very helpful.
The Apply4Me service on Ladders is worth every penny. They are very responsive and have great communication on the status of your job applications. I've worked Christine P. From the service, and she is fantastic.
Excellent Service- I wish there was more of a way to pull from the resume or LinkedIn to avoid all of the input. Also, wish there was more for Banking.
Apply4me is a game changer. My only suggestion would be to have an AI/ML tool that would select your best resume from a selection of resumes based upon the JD as well as adjust cover letters automatically and then allow you to approve or personally nuance, but other than that - PERFECT. Thank you.
Quick assistance resolving my account issue (multiple accounts needing to be merged/updated). Rhandel Lorenzo knew exactly what I needed to have done and fixed it within moments. Great service!
I was disappointed about being auto-renewed after I had cancelled my service, but Monica Toribio quickly took care of it for me. The website was easy enough to use while job searching.
Great App! Ladders helped me to find a job pretty fast. I was notified when my resume was submitted which kept me on track on the amount of jobs that I applied.
The Ladders has a rating of 2.7 stars from 105 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. The Ladders ranks 57th among Job Search sites.
Hi David-
We were once primarily onsite in Manhattan, but we are now are a fully-remote company with employees all over the world. We really appreciate your feedback regarding our site features and are working hard to improve our site functionality and suggested material.
