We are proud to boast more than 110 years of comfort expertise. The Company Store started out as the LaCrosse Garment Manufacturing Company in La Crosse, WI in 1911. Given frigid winters, it’s no surprise the Scandinavian immigrants living there searched for ways to keep warm, crafting the down comforters and featherbeds that were traditional back home, in addition to winter clothing made with down. That quality and craftmanship became the foundation of The Company Store.
The Company Store has a rating of 3.8 stars from 340 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with The Company Store most frequently mention high quality, pillow cases and duvet cover. The Company Store ranks 2nd among Bedding sites.

First, their quality sucks. You can get better at Walmart. Second, if you order something, you will NEVER get your money back. I am nine weeks out and still no refund. I gave up and went through my credit card company to dispute it and nail them that way. HORRIBLE company!
Seriously I made more effort to try and spend my money than the Company Store made to deliver goods:
I was a long time customer but now they have lost me. I placed an order in December for multiple items. I received part of the order within two weeks and then got a back order email... and then nothing for weeks. I called again in January. I was told my credit authorization expired and they could take my credit card info and send me my items. I gave my credit card and then... weeks went by and NOTHING. Then I called again at the end of February and I was told once again I had to give my credit card. I gave my credit card info AND Ordered a blanket. A week and a half later the blanket arrived but my original order items were still missing. I called again last week and was AGAIN told I had to give me credit card number and they would send me the items. I refused because how many times do I need to call to actually get a company to take my money and send me what I ordered. I called the presidents office and emailed customer service and a week and a half later... NOTHING. Based on the aforementioned I am convinced they do not care and no one is overseeing customer satisfaction. I will go to Garnet, Lands End, Eddie Bauer etc so I can be treated with decency and respect.
For Valentine's Day, I ordered and confirmed by phone a full set of pajamas for my kids (son, daughter in law and baby)By phone, I was as told all items are available and ready to ship. A few days later 2 items are received. A few days after that I receive an email saying the 3rd item is out of stock and unable to be delivered. So now, my daughter in law has no idea a present was bought for her and not deliverable. Very sad! I called the company and they told me they were sorry but they could not help me in any way. And my son can return the items shipped. So basically, they are making their problem mine to deal with. I will never buy from them again. There are so many ways they could have handled this issue better but they did nothing and continue to do nothing to help. Beware of any purchases made by this store... and this is coming from a loyal past customer.
Washcloths are not much bigger than a postage stamp! But, when I wrote to them about a bath towel fraying on the edge, they informed me that there was a 90 day guarantee on the product. I was in the middle of a construction project that included a new bathroom and wasn't able to put my hands on a receipt. Unusual for me! No kids were involved in the fraying of the towel. That pretty much makes them disposable!
Not inexpensive either!
Never again.
Ordered and paid for express shipping to receive purchases by Xmas. Half received and that same day half was cancelled. So I now have ½ a sheet set. Extremely poor customer service. Didn't let me know ½ was cancelled until after the other half was shipped so couldn't cancel the entire order and reorder from someone else. Will never order from Company Store again.
I've purchased several items over the years from the Company Store. 2 years ago I paid over $500 for a bedding set, percale cotton sheets (which I love), a comforter (which is OK, not as nice as my lands end one), and this blue blanket that filled my washer and dryer with a pound of lint, shrunk 1/3rd of its size and is so pilled it has sat in a drawer ever since. That blanket was $130 dollars and I couldn't return because it's outside of the return window. I followed the directions for washing and care.
I've had multiple issues with their mobile ordering, you can't paste a promo code in and hit apply you have to delete a character and re-write to get it to not gray out. I've accidentally ordered duplicates and accidentally ordered 1 pillow case instead of 2, these occured on two separate orders. You can't hit the back button, it will empty your whole shopping cart. You can't shop while not logged in and then log in, it will empty your shopping cart. No way to auto-apply promo codes. No way to bring these issues to their attention either since the only customer service is email and phone.
Customer service replies to questions about colors or stock in 2-3 weeks. I ordered my daughter a quilt set and the sheets went out of stock. It took me 7 weeks to hear back that they were discontinuing them permanently. No suggestions on other sheets that would match, no familiarity with their own products so I bought everything else on Amazon.
Fulfillment is really slow for a company that is supposed to not be Wayfair or Overstock. Usually 2-3 days before the order ships and over a week to get it on top of that.
I'm just really disappointed because I loved the old Company Store. Home Depot bought them in 2017 and it has swiftly gone downhill.
I haven't actually received my order yet, so I am not able to review the quality of the products. I am concerned that immediately after I was billed for my order, three fraudulent charges were billed to my account. I have a hard time believing that was just a coincidence. I also had the same problem where my order was confirmed, but the day the order was actually processed (a week later) I received an email stating one of the items was not available. If I would have known that at the time of purchase, I would not have ordered from The Company Store.
I placed an order for a Robe on Nov 21,2020 with your online company.
I received an email confirming the order within a few minutes
I started checking for delivery information on my order on your website daily from Nov 23rd - Dec 2nd
All that your website reported was the order number and the ship to address
Eventually I thought I better follow up and phoned your store on Dec 2nd.
I was informed the item was out of stock, even though you confirmed it! I have the emails to prove this.
This is un-acceptable for a business to confirm my christmas gift, and if I had not followed up it just would not have shown up.
I WOULD RATE YOUR COMPANY -1 Stars if I could but I will rate you as low as possible on every on-line platform as of this moment.
I just spoke to Lisa a service rep. She was wonderful. Ordered a robe, they took my money, but the item is back ordered till Jan. 24. So much for a cyber Monday deal, it said item was available. Will never order from u again. Canceled order
Ordered a quilt that showed in stock to ship within 1-2 days. Received an email next day saying, "As you may have seen during the purchase of your recent order, the following item(s) is temporarily out of stock. It will be shipped promptly to you upon arrival in our warehouse." The item showed in-stock on the product detail screen AND when I placed the order (cart view). In fact, it still shows in stock as of this writing. When I called customer service (which took an extremely long time) I was told that the item was indeed in stock but that someone in the Warehouse had cancelled my order - for some unknown reason. I have yet to receive confirmation of that cancellation in writing. Overall, my experience with this company has been very frustrating. Their online site is simply not user friendly. I've called twice about two different orders in the past 6-months and I'm pretty sure I've spoken to the same person each time, which, in combination with the long wait time, makes me wonder about the viability of this company. Their website gives you the impression that they are a reputable and strong company with plenty of staff but my experience seems to indicate otherwise.
To the poor shopper who bought a children's monogrammed knight and flamingo bath towels (Ryan and Layla), I was the one that received them instead of my own monogrammed purchase. I was told that I would not be able to reorder since there was only a couple left and my new order would be put at the bottom of the list. I assume you're in the same boat. I spent my entire lunch break trying to get the item picked up and sent back for you, I'm sure we can both agree this company isn't worth the effort.
I ordered a front doormat at the end of October. It's now November 24 and still no mat. Customer service just told me it was backordered and it should be delivered Dec. 1.
I would have appreciated an e-mail informing me that it was backordered. That would have given me the choice of waiting or buying it elsewhere. Hmm. Maybe that's why I didn't get a notification of the hold-up. We'll see how the product is whenever it gets here.
I ordered this plush robe for myself. It arrived quickly and is a really high quality item. I have ordered from this site before and everything I have ordered has been high quality and as advertised.
THEY STOLE MY MONEY
A MONTH AGO I WANTED TO BUY A PAJAMAS AND WHEN I MADE THE PAYMENT WITH MY CARD, THEY TOOK MY MONEY, AND THEY DID NOT GIVE ME AN ORDER NUMBER.
THIS IS A SCAM, NEVER BUY, THE COMPANY DOES NOT EXIST, THERE IS NO PLACE OF SALE ALSO
I was promised twice by customer support that an item I purchased that was not originally included in their delivery would be sent. Now they say it is no longer available, am waiting on a response or refund...
They have shut down shipment of flannel bedding after I purchased 3 sets of various colored Queen flannel sets and extra pillowcases. Seams rip open, seams are not sewn straight, dye doesn't hold colors, piling and "crumbs' / fibers are all over your home from using them. They fill up your dryer lint comparent with every wash / dry. Now in order to get a refund (Who knows if they will?) I'm required to go out and find a large box for return shipment. That's the only way you can get a refund for these inferior items in which they admitted on the phone to me was known junk in so many word. Ugh! I'm a senior who is trying to stay home and safe with my health. They have lost a customer after shopping wiith them for over 25 years. This is not the company they once were. So today I must venture out to find an extra large box to purchase. Thanks The Company Store for no Custmer Service or respect for my health.
Not a good site to buy a gift. No gift wrapping and to cancel an order, you have to call back on their terms, not yours.
I have purchased great comforters, bedding and towels from Company Store over the years and gotten high quality items. My last few purchases were on about the same level as Target. Customer service not so nice and last time I tried to make an exchange, found out they only take returns for 6 months after purchase. Why buy from you then, I can make returns at any major department store for up to a year? Now I know why its called the Company Store. Because it's not the customer's store! BYE!
My wife and I purchased a down comforter from the Company Store that is excellent. Two years ago, we took the plunge ($365 each) for pillows. Now these pillows are are pancake flat and in their own assessment, a return for credit. If these are so bad, why would I buy them again. They are balking on a refund of the purchase price. Let's see if they see the error of this logic.

My mom LaVerne bought@ least 10 down comforters from here. All various sizes. They are 10-15 years old & still have almost all their down
Answer: It has been easy to get hold of customer service and eventually worked out multiple problems. Let me add, their were too many problems to continue doing business with the company.
Answer: Legitimate Business selling stylish bedding and home products. As a satisfied customer for over 25 years, I will shop elsewhere as the quality is now poor and cheaply made.
Answer: Not only that, but return labels are much cheaper than paying retail USPS charges. Never shopping there again.
