After a terrible experience at Tom's place, I came to the bay to buy a suit. I was greeted by Pujal, an international student and employee of the Bay
He helped make the experience extremely pleasant.
His attention to my overall experience was that of a veteran in the I dustry, even though he later told me that he is relatively new to retail. This made it all the more impressive
He made the customer feel important, valued and did it in such a manner that I felt I was always being assisted by a professional.
If the bay has a management trainee program, I highly recommend he be considered.
He represents all that is great about Canada's openness to immigration and foreign students. He is a future leader.

I ordered a pair of shoes online for my mom's birthday and she wasn't happy with them, so I decided to return. The seller (from Marketplace!) made me pay for the return shipping cost which was $16 for me on a $100 pair of shoes, ridiculous! The Bay didn't stand behind the seller to return the product, they literally say it's marketplace so go and deal with them yourself, so no recommended at all!
The bay needs to get a new buyer of clothes. All the clothes in the bay are made for old people. The tops all very conservative and boring as are all the dresses. They seriously need to have a better selection of clothes for all ages not just for old people. Same with the shoe selection. Not everyone likes to dress old and boring. They used to have such a nice selection of dresses 10 years ago. They must have hired a new buyer. Big Mistake!
My mother goes to the Bay. The sales lady convinces her to get a Bay card. My mother has no computer. So she gives them her phone number and my e-mail. Her phone will not take digital codes. So I get a bill. I cannot pay it because I cannot get a 6 digital code sent to her phone. I went to the Bay and they would not accept payment. I went to my bank and the Bay card is not registered with the bank. I had to call the number on the back of my debit card. After 30 minutes I managed to get the bill paid. Staff need to consider that older people may not have computers.
Bought an online item from HBC in motivation of getting a free gift. I spent over $150 but didn't get a free gift. Later got an email from them advising me that the free items are sold out. Well I bought the value to earn a free gift HBC should have send me something else instead. Very disappointed
Cannot believe how difficult it is to shop online with thebay.com, there are so many glitches and customer service is having the same issues that I'm having and unable to place an order! Management doesn't care and refuses to help? Don't shop with the Bay they are not trustworthy.
They decided to put plus size with regular clothing so you love a shirt and wow not in plus size. Looked at 10 racks and no plus size. Was told I have to walk the whole store and look for it manually or look for a mini plus size rack in the middle of the hundreds of regular size choices

I shopped for a Calvin Klein bra. I found one iintermitently dispersed on three different racks with various titles. There was no apparent staff and I walked around to find a fitting room.
Having found an appropriate bra I wandered the store trying to find a "service" station. I found a wandering service person to inquire. At the point of sale I was required to pay 25 cents for a bag so as not to walk through the store with a bra and receipt in hand.
As you would surmise, this was a totally ineffectual experience.I I can only hope that Costco can again access this article for future purchaces..
I bought an Instant Pot Duo Nova 6QT from Hudson Bay for $129.99, online. Within a day or two, another store - Real Canadian Superstore had the same item for $79.98.
I sent Hudson Bay a copy of the ad showing the same item on sale for $79.98. I made repeated tries by e mail, calling customer service, etc. They refuse to price match. I could return the item to Hudson bay, but now the item is no longer on sale at the other store.
Be wary of buying items at Hudson Bay - they do not price match - will give many reasons not to price match.
I sure they will go the same way as Eatons and Sears! They changed return policy in October apparently, tiniest of sign on something I would consider important My 80 year old mother thought her bay rewards card would keep track of her purchases. Went to return a gift she bought that was to big. Wouldn't do exchange she wanted, shame on you Hudsons Bay! I predict your Nanaimo store will be closed in less than a year.
Please give back the reward points customer got from shopping at your stores, covid did not kill me so I am alive and need my points back. You also need better customer service, customer is waiting for a long time, then put on hold and then the phone hangs up. I got a case # and I can't get anyone to follow up on the case # you issued.
Ordered jeans that were on a 2 for 1 sale. Got 1 pair. Called the customer service and opened a case number. They reviewed the complaint and said they would send another pair. Waited and waited…called again and quoted the case number. They said the jeans were on their way. Waited again. Called today and was told the case number that I was given didn't exist and they weren't shipping the jeans because only 1 pair was ordered instead of 2…. He did offer to give me a 10% discount off the full price if I wanted to re-order the jeans.
My wife ordered a piece of clothing fromThe Bay marketplace. The item did not fit and she was approved for the return. After a month she has still not received a return authorization. She has called several times, has asked for a supervisor to solve. Everyone apologizes and absolutely no-one takes action, and no supervisor has called back.
I constantly receive letters from The Bay which contain some kinds of special promo codes, however most of the times that I am trying to apply them to my order, they simply do not work. Which is a waste of my time and simply not serious on the part of such a large company as The Bay.
Also, when I failed to receive an order from The Bay which the shipping information listed as "Delivered", I had to write twice to The Bay's customer service, and both times their replies were along the lines of "What is the product that is missing?" - the details which I have included in both my letters - and "Please check the area surrounding your mailbox, around the planters, the patios and with the neighbors" - and this was again simply not serious. It wasn't worth the price of the missing item to waste my time to write to them for the third time, so I just decided to let it go. Very dissatisfied.
I tried using my gift card at TheBay but it doesn't work. It's a Friday, and there is a sale. After an hour on the phone and via chat, I was told that the web site is undergoing "an update" and while that is happening, anytime between 24 to 48 hours, no gift card use is possible. There is no information about this ON THE WEBSITE itself, meaning you have to spend hours just to find out what is happening. I think they probably disable this on purpose, to make more money during busy times and sales.
I ordered shapewear from The Hudson's Bay. They delivered the wrong item so I called and they reassured me the item would be correct the next time so I not only gave them the benefit of the doubt and reordered, but still had to pay for the shipping on my first order. The second order arrived with the wrong item again, leaving me to pay for shipping twice on two orders I don't even want. Now (with these gas prices) I have to drive to The Bay to drop off these two packages to get my refund while still having to pay for the shipping of two items I don't want or need. Absolutely awful experience and never will I ever again purchase anything from this company.
I shop the Bay online as there are no department stores near me. The delivery is prompt and correct. However, returns are a NIGHTMARE! Every single time I return an item I have to FIGHT with them to get my full refund. The first time it took more than 30 days after the original email stating that they had received and processed my return (they claimed mastercard lost the refund (?)). The next time I received the confirmation of return email and LESS THAN HALF of the refund owing via PayPal. When I called after a week of waiting to see if the remainder would appear I was told it had been processed and I should wait. Oh, and there are no supervisors or managers that I could speak to. I emailed the company looking for the refund and no response. If you like having no product and no refund than shop thebay.com. Otherwise, shop anywhere BUT thebay.com.
Do not order online! Something is very wrong with their order and delivery system - you'll end working hard to get reimbursed for products you ordered but never received. I received the wrong order the 29th of August. Had to send the wrong products they deliverd to me back. Never delivered me the right products. $#*!tiest follow-up ever. Must of spent 6 hours of Mt time so far with this. Still no reimbursement the 21st of September. They are light-years away from competitors. Stay away!

Recently tried to use a new gift card online and it would not work. Called customer service and, although it took a while to sort out, it was not the customer service person's fault. He stuck with it, resolved the issue and and even sent me a new gift card to replace the one that wouldn't work without me even asking for that.
I placed an online order and a used underwear was in my box of Calvin Kline underwear. The delivery bag was sealed and the box came opened already so it wasn't the delivery person - I suspect the person who assembled it for delivery took one of the fresh underwear and swamped it with his own dirty used underwear. His underwear was carelessly shoved into the box and he didn't even care to close the lid.
Answer: They are a legitimate company which is managed poorly.
Answer: After calling them several times many of which I was put on hold only to be disconnected I finally get through to a representative. Not an easy process at all
