A tasker left the work incomplete and did damage to my home. I was charged over $300 and TaskRabbit did not find a resolution. Very weak dissatisfying customer care. Instead I had do pay close to $1000 for the damages to be corrected and the work done.
We hired TaskRabbit to assemble some IKEA furniture as they are the company IKEA recommends. Tasker (Russ) showed up - but got "offended" when the reception at the building asked him some routine COVID screening questions and decided to walk off the job altogether! Unbelievable! Contacted their customer service department and they were useless. Told me that I would have to wait until the next day to repost the job and just hope that someone would be available to complete it. Took no responsibility at all and told me there was nothing they could do as they deal with independent contractors. IKEA should really think twice about partnering with these idiots. Book with Jiffy if you want a reputable service you can count on.
I lost my job a year ago and thought I would you my many skills and talents helping others. Yet this company doesn't respect their taskers. I worked over a year with great customer ratings, then got popular and one Saturday I got 5 requests and could handle them. Some canceled and others I couldn't make it. TaskRabbit policy then froze my account and now I'm not getting any more task request. I wrote them 3 times to say I was overwhelmed that Saturday. They still didn't change and still left my account inactive. Unbelievable they cant understand does more then 5 tasks in one day can be overwhelming. After a very successful year prior. BEWARE TASKERS
I lost my job and was looking for alternative ways to have an income, and so found TaskRabbit service. Got some hesitation to subscribe as they asking for SSN and whole business doesn't seems to be safe to give them a SSN. I red some reviews where people were hesitating about to start business with them. Yet I went forward and applied. 2! month later I was chnarged for $20 (background check) with no personal attitude, with no tasks. It became completely irrelevent for me. Now all fine prints says that all fees and charges are irrevocable. Beware.
We arranged for a chesst freezer delivery very last minute. Tommy was available and he was excellent. Great communicator, timely, got the job done, polite, and wore a mask like he was supposed to. Just a great experience, and we would recommend both Tommy and TaskRabbit because of it.
I moved into my first condo this week -- a lot of packing, moving, cleaning, painting, etc. I did most of it myself with the help of a couple friends, but the painting and cleaning I hired two different Taskers to do. First the painter cancelled 1/2 hour before he was to show up. Then the cleaner goes MIA the morning of the task, and I never hear from him again. Both of these guys had great reviews and decent communication at first, but then they bailed. There's no accountability for them either -- TaskRabbit doesn't seem to allow you to leave subjective reviews for these people. The most I could do was click a button that said the 2nd Tasker was a no-call, no-show. Very poorly run business. What a disappointment. And talk about leaving someone high and dry!
I only went with this company because IKEA was affiliated with them and we desperately needed a wardrobe and dresser assembled. I set up a task with this company, nearly a week before we needed the stuff assembled and it was a day after all the pieces from IKEA were delivered. The canceled on me first time and had it rescheduled. Finally a got a text saying who my tasker was. Now, I got an email saying he cancelled and that I just need to choose a new tasker, no need to re-enter the information. When I tried to pick a new one (was so irritated by now) all it did was ask for all my info again. I am done. Should have just gone with my local handyman.
Our tasker was amazing. The service is a great idea to allow people to be entrepenuers. BUT there as a hidden fee of $50 - the hourly rate was the only cost we were told about - then the addition TRUST fee of $50 was tacked on in the difficult to find invoice. So that was the tip for the driver they took. Very very dissastified with this scammy treatment. What is a trust fee anyway?
I've tried to use Taskrabbit 3 times and 3 times they have failed to deliver. The first tasker that arrived was in no way a professional drywaller. He ruined my walls with poorly patched drywall compound. It has cost me more money to repair this job. Another tasker was a cleaning service that was a no show 2 times. The third was also a no show.
I've run my limit with this company and will never call them again. Be smart and do the same. DO NOT USE TASKRABBIT.
Last year I bought pax wordrobe I used taskrabbit tasker took 5 plus hours and was leaving out parts saying it's not needed. This year I bought a next pax wordrobe decided to try taskrabbit again 1/2 hour before my job I contacted tasker because I didn't get a call he told me he can't come he on a next job. Called taskrabbit who rebooked with different tasker received a message this evening saying this new tasker can't make it. Tasker is a waste of time
I hired a Tasker Anthony S to repaint my door. He charged me a miscellaneous charge for mysterious items that weren't used or that could be use on another job. He vacillated alot about how best to do job and took 6 hours to complete or should I say, he charged me 6 hours because he stood around talking and sharing pictures and drinking water. The door is horrible and he wanted to come back to put another coat on. He left the interior dirty with black fingerprints and the exterior side is dented, rough and smeared. The first guy hired as a painter named Cory, didn't have brushes or a ladder. Anthony S was the second. TaskRabbit suggested Julius and he didn't have brushes either! Anthony S didn't like my generous review of 3 with explanation, so he contacted me through chat and threatened me. I filed a report with the warranty department called Happiness Pledge but they wouldn't honor it.
Horrible service, actually no service at all. I booked them. It wasn't`t easy. The person( tasked) never came to do his work, never called and I had no way to call him. After many many unanswered calls to Taskrabbit, I had NO help at all. I was told the tanker cancelled but nobody advises me "the client ", and I was told from customer Service that all I could do is try again to make another app... and good luck to me I guess! Really bad service and also customer service.
This is our 2nd time using this. First time was good, this time it was HORRIBLE! A NIGHTMARE! MaryRose (my worker) brings her boyfriend to "assist" her. The appointment was set for 10am, she did not get here until almost 4:30. They reeked of Marijuana smell. They spent half the time fighting, (and using the restroom) so he leaves, (she's blowing up his phone asking to come back and help her). He comes back, they start arguing again. He's using foul language. I asked them both to leave. He says she can stay. She had no clue as to what she was doing. We had no choice but to ask her to leave. Now we're stuck with wrongly assembled furniture, un-assembled furniture and over $81.00 charged to my card.
I hired a guy to pick up a sofa for me and deliver it to my house. When he originally texted me, he told me that he wraps the furniture in blankets to protect it. However, when he got it off the truck and started wheeling it, it fell off of the dolly and landed right on the ground (a light-colored fabric, btw). It only had the blanket on the top part, so this part was directly on the driveway, where there's grease and dirt, etc. I said something, but he ignored me. Then later, he said that he normally protects the entire thing, but since the sofa was used, he didn't bother. NICE! So the sofa ended up having black grease stains on that side because of it! Get a clue, taskers: Whether the item is new or used, someone is paying you to handle it carefully and deliver it in the same condition that you found it! It did not have grease stains! NEVER AGAIN.
I booked a large task two weeks out, with a check-in the day before, only to have the person assigned to my task cancel less than an hour before showing up. The person I'd hired didn't give me an explanation and once he canceled the job, and I wasn't able to ask why, as the chat feature disables once the job is canceled. Also, I am unable to leave a poor review since he never did the job. This "tasker" has 100% positive reviews, which is obviously completely inflated. I tried to find any sort of accountability on the tasker's end, but all I could find was the client's responsibility, which was to give 24 hours notice before canceling, or pay a one-hour fee penalty. In addition to the tasker being a flake, the customer service is a joke. They claim to respond to all inquiries in 48 hours, but I've heard nothing back since well past that timeframe. Outside of "emergencies" customer service won't accept chat or phone calls. I have zero confidence I'll hear back at all.
On September 5th I signed up with Task Rabbit to pick up an envelope next day September 6th at 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM. After receiving a confirmation that the Currier was going to pick it on time, I waited past 12:30 PM but no one showed. TaskRabbit promises prompt service but in reality it is an organization unreliable and unprofessional. I will not use TaskRabbit ever again. My recommendation to others is not to rely on TaskRabbit.
I hired a Tasker to pick up an item for me and ship it. The Tasker picked up the item but never shipped it. Basically they stold the item. Task Rabbit would do nothing to help me. Do not trust this company. They are horrible when it comes to customer service.
Do not use them! The person who installed my IKEA furniture damaged it and I have now been in an on going saga for months to get my money back! Poorest level of customer service I've ever seen!
DONT USE THEM!
Hired a tasker to assemble my four post wood bed. Appointment was for Sunday Sept 22nd at 3pm. The tasker by the name of Christian sent me a reply via the website saying he couldn't make the appointment on time just 5 minutes before he was suppose to be here. He then ask if he could come around 4pm. At 4pm he was a no show. I cancelled the appointment. I will never ever use or recommend this service. Absolutely horrible.
I registered to start working for this web. They mention nothing about fees. I wasted an hour completing their questions. I am in need of a dollar to eat. At the end, they asked me for my credit card info to charge me $5 wil be refunded in a month. Why don't just deduct $5 from my first salary. Why don't they tell about the fee from the biginng before wasting my time. Knew about them from Laura Shin who writes for Forbs online. I am very angry from this Laura Shin because she advertises for abuser without talking aout ther trick. But these people don't care about someone who has $5 because they make money about increasing their reader of us the poor people.
Answer: Mine responded and loved to chat. At the end, he cancelled the appointment. What a waste of time. Very disappointing.
Answer: Hi Carlos, thanks for your inquiry! When registering, a form of payment as well as bank info is required. The form of payment covers the cost of registration and the bank info is linked to your account so that you can receive payment from your Client once you begin tasking.
