My agent Amy Turner was great at the start but after a couple months she's pretty much stopped replying to my e-mails or updating my lease price based on the buyout price which changes every month. They tell you to e-mail them your buyout every month so they can update the price online and keep things current. It would be great if this company honored the package you paid for and does even the bare minimum to keep you as a customer.
Once they receive your money you're pretty much dropped on your own. I've had to call in multiple times to get my price updated and they can't even get their sh*t together on the phone. Half of them know the price has tax, the other half don't so if you're not paying attention your monthly advertised priced could even go up due to this mistake. Which is exactly what happened to me for a month or two I was listed $80 or so per month higher than what it should be.
Excellent service!... great communication! I was very pleased with swapalease.com and more specifically with my representative Lisa Feldman... ext. 2001. She was always available to answer any questions I had and always responded back to me within minutes if needed. Made the process feel real quick and easy! I would highly recommend contacting her if you are interested in swapalease. Thanks again Lisa.
She does a great job! We have shared your review with the team at Swapalease. Thank you for sharing your feedback here.
I gave swapalease a 5 Star Rating because of their performance. My personal manager was Lisa, Ext. 2001. Sie is professional, acts quickly and has a good personality. She had my car on the website very quickly. I used their most expensive package because I needed quick results. And that I got. Following their advice I offered an incentive after 2 to 3 weeks. After that I had about 10 buyers. Lisa responded promptly to all my requests. I like that buyers have to register with swapalease. It felt safe because the buyer had to make a commitment. I would recommend swapalease to other people. Job well done!
Ron helped me get out of a lease, lead me through the process the entire time. I had it transferred within a couple days. Excellent customer service and experience. I will definitely use their services again if needed.
But it really isn't.
You will be pressured by seller wanting yu to pay there fees, incentives and so on, so the fee they charge is only a fraction of your real cost.
I got offers asking for $5000 cash up front from a potential buer on a regular BMS SUV to get started
Lots of promises "take the most expensive package and 90% your car will sell in 30 days max".
Why, how do you know that. Well easy we post your car everywhere, on our website front page, social media, etc etc etc etc.
Well…NOTHING! Zero. And I cannot find it on website or anywhere.
Mercedes lot is empty…nothing? How!
Be careful did not work for me and they get PAID UP FRONT…NO REFUNDS NO MATTER.
If they had that record I was sold…they would not NEED OR USE A …NO REFUND NO
WAT EXCUSE!
Wow, sign up to contact a seller for additional information (not canned questions) and behold... you have to purchase a premium membership. Unfortunate for sellers and buyers of a lease transfer! Wish I checked this site first...
We have a range of options for our buyer's club members. It is a premium membership but only a one-time fee. We are not a subscription service. We'd love to have you as a member of our service. If you would like to take advantage of a discount please contact me directly here and I will do my best to take care of you.
I tried this for 6 months a complete waste of money and my time. People want your lease for free.and sometimes people pretend you have a deal then they just cancel last minute.
In 2004 I took over a lease on a Jaguar, since then, 4 BMWs, 2 Mercedes, a Land Rover and a Corvette (for someone else). Currently searching for the next lease. I've also found someone to take over a lease on a Porsche. The site is fantastic for those of us who get bored with cars and are not too particular about color or getting something specific. Most of the time, you can get a great deal because someone else put down $2,000-$4,000 to drive off the lot. Start in advance as the process takes time and finding the right opportunity is not quick. Before agreeing to the lease, I highly recommend you do a 3 way call with the leasing company. I've had several sellers who insisted they knew the terms of the lease only to find out that they were wrong. Also, make sure you understand the tax situation fully.
I am having the worst experience with Swapalease! THey make you pay upfront for the services that they apparently provide and the fee is around 300 bucks(non refundable). Once you pay the fee the actualities come out! They literally tell you to keep logging into your account at least once a month else the account is suspended! There is no follow-up whatsoever, even if you manage to find an interested party in the car they do very little to show any enthusiasm for the swap. Its all up to you as the seller to make the efforts in reaching out to the buyer and persuading him to proceed with application etc. Makes me wonder why did i pay a fee of 300$ if its me doing everything?
We charge all sellers a one-time fee upfront and list the vehicle on our website until sold. We have our sellers log in to their account at least once every 30 days so that we can keep the listings current for our buyers searching for vehicles. If you find an interested party, we have a lease transfer department dedicated to helping both parties through the steps of the transfer process. They can be reached at transfers@swapalease.com or simply calling us and asking for customer support. M-F 8-8 PM ET. Sat. 18-4 PM ET. At 866-792-7669. The lease transfer is a DIY process with both the buyer and seller transferring through the seller's leasing company. Our fees may seem nominal if you compare them to the savings of payments and operating costs if you got out early. Please direct message me here or email me at jnovak@swapalease.com so that I can find you in our system. I will look at your listing and offer any suggestions that might help and I am happy to provide a few extra services to get you more exposure.
Charged me $200 to list the car, not follow ups nothing nothing sold not a single call from a customer, took my listing down with in 1 months, didn't refund anything
Biggest waist of money they don't get anything done, the car never gets sold or leased to any one ever!
I am sorry to hear that this has not been a good experience. Please direct message me here or email me at jnovak@swapalease.com so that I can look at your account I will do everything that I can to help out.
I want to point out for those reading this that we list vehicles until sold for just one fee. A listing may become temporarily inactive due to a lack of login activity for over 30 days but there is no fee to reactivate the listing. We keep these measures in please so that listings are current and accurate.
This was my first experience listing a car on Swapalease.com. I did my research and felt it was worth a try. I worked with Lisa Extension 2001, and she explain everything from start to finish, gave me advice as to what to expect from buyers and the leasing Company, Toyota Financial.
Her knowledge was extremely valuable and accurate, she gave practical advice, very responsive and ethical. I would have no reservations in recommending this service, and working with Lisa.
She does do a great job! Thank you for sharing your experience here and for choosing our service.
I spent $900 on their premium service with an estimate of 30-60 to source a buyer. Almost a year later and I have had ZERO legitimate contacts. Total waste of money with a company seeming filled with jerks.
This is Jack, I am the one who ran your social media campaign. I wish that I would have known that you were unhappy and I could have talked to you before you got to this point and ended up here. I will reach out to you and do everything that I can to help and make things right for you.
I was extremely fortunate to have worked with Lisa at Swapalease. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about GM Financial and GM leases. This is the first time I've ever used Swapalease or 'swapped' my lease out. She took the time to walk me through each step of the process. She was quick to respond to my emails and I had a buyer call me within 5 minutes of her posting my vehicle on their site. I highly recommend utilizing Swapalease and working with Lisa if you are considering using their site. Thanks again Lisa! :)
I decided to get rid of my car and needed to have someone take over the lease. I contacted Swapalease and spoke to Marc Baker. He immediately and patiently guided me with the process, helped me write the car description/profile, post the pictures, and was always there if I had any questions or concerns. Within a relatively short period of time advertising the car, the lease was assumed without any hiccups. I would highly recommend Swapalease to get rid of your car or maybe to find a good deal.
They just deactivated my account for not update or simply tried to log in after couple of weeks after I paid 299 for my membership this people are truly thieves! Do not proceed with these scam like website. You rather ad your vehicle on your own way cheaper and safer
This is not an issue and happens all the time. Either the sellers do not log in to their account after 30 days, or there is a time restriction from the leasing company. We can easily reactivate your listing if you can contact me at jnovak@swapalease.com so that I can find you in the system and I am happy to take care of you.
Waste of money I had my car listed from November till June when I took it down out of frustration and decided to keep the car. Called a few times and had ad updated still nothing. Contacted them today and asked for the ad to be removed and requested a refund to be told I would not get one because I didn't reach out to a specific person she could have made that better well why didn't you do that in the first place? Then was told it typically takes 90-120 days it's been way past that. Then the rep blamed the lack of attention on Covid-19 even though the ad was placed months before the pandemic.
Trish, I would like to apologize for a bad experience. I wish we had control over our marketplace or consumer demand. There are usually a few reasons why a car does find a buyer. Please reach out to me, I would like to look at your listing and see what extra I can do to help. Please email me at jnovak@swapalease.com or direct message here at your convenience. I cannot find you in our system with the information on this website.
I've transferred out of two car leases now with SwapaLease, and I've had success both times, thanks to my sales representative Lisa Feldmann at ext. 2001. She is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive. What I will say is that the rates to advertise on their site are definitely very high, but it's one of your only options if you need to get out of a lease on a vehicle. It's important to understand that they are solely for advertising your car and connecting you to potential buyers; after that happens, you are on your own to work with your leasing company and the person taking over the lease. And yes, there are going to be fees through your leasing company as well, but SwapaLease does outline those costs on their site.
She does a great job! Thanks for sharing your experience here and for using our services!
NICK WILMERS HELPED ME A LOT! Told me about different packages, listened to my concerns with other lease company. Posted on Swapalease with NIck's help. BINGO. Buyer the first day! I don't have a picture of the agreement; another dealership took over my car's lease - BMW of Silver Springs, Md.
If you think you are simply taking over a lease (the value the original leasee was paying) guess again. Think about it - they'll have to make money, right? You'll get charged with a ton of fee that you didn't expect... LOL
Swapalease charges a one-time for the sellers, listing their lease until sold. Buyers pay a one-time fee for a lifetime membership. The lease transfer fee and any applicable taxes or registration fees is done through your local DMV and is handled by the individuals leasing company. We have no hidden or extra fees.
