After a few years of mediocre service, they are no longer available at their previous phone numbers. They are probably not responsible for the numerous scams generated in their name, but it's best to take your computer to a trusted local source. I have a paid-for account which has apparently gone up in smoke! As a general rule-of-thumb, NEVER respond to a phone call from ANY proported computer maintenance company! Call them, not the converse.
I have been a customer for eleven years with Support Buddy technical support and have had excellent service. The problem is that now that each time I call them they ask for my account number like they have in the past and I am transferred to a tech. Who never responds.
Is this company out of business?
My mom allowed them access to her computer, they immediately hacked her bank account and transferred $50K from her savings to her checking all while remotely working on her computer so she was told not to access the internet (to see what was going on with her bank.) Then they told her they were refunding her money as the company was going out of business but accidentally transferred her $50k instead of $200. Then begged her to go to the bank and wire the money back to them so they poor $#*! wouldnt get fired. She did all the while not realizing that the money was hers from her savings account which was only randomly there because she had recently sold a house and the proceeds had not yet been invested.
This company is MAJOR LEVEL FRAUD and Identity theft. FBI level.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER OR YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. I guarantee that any good reviews are fake.
I subscribed to Support Buddy in April 2016, and paid $600.00 for support. In October 2016 I was hacked twice and asked for an additional $300.00 by wire transfer, not by credit card to fix my computer. I realized that something was wrong, and cancelled my account. I have been waiting for a promised wire transfer since October 2016. These people are crooks, have committed corporate fraud, extorsion, and cyber crime.
Do not under any circumstances use this organization, they will not even respond
To your e-mails or phone calls, I have contacted the FBI Fraud Division regarding this issue. They need to be charged and put out of business.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCIES, DO NOT USE SUPPORT BUDDY!
Same issue happened for the scam from Support Buddy where they send a refund only if providing access to computer
This company is a SCAM/ RIPOFF and they constantly harrassing me with calls. As soon as I block one number they find a way to call me from another state. THIS NEEDS TO STOP!
This company (support buddy) is a scam. About a year ago (6/6/16), they called my cell phone stating that they were from "Windows" the big computer software company. They claimed that their computer monitors of the Windows software detected a damaging "virus" in my computer, that needed to be immediately repaired to prevent further damge to my computer. I allowed them access; they charged me $390.00; and told me that the $390 charge was for their ongoing service contract to repair my computer whenever I needed it for 2 years. In the next 2 or 3 weeks, the computer "crashed". I called them to repair the crash. The technicial put me on hold for 1 hr; then came back on the line and said he had to speak with a "supervisor" then will call me back. He did not. I called again next day, same thing. No call back. Same thing following day after that. I finally took my computer to a IT repair company who said that my hard drive had crashed, and that it needed to be replaced. I did that, and computer has worked fine ever since.
Now the Support Buddy company reps are calling me back (at least 10 times now), saying that they would give me a "refund" if I allow them to access my computer again. They claim that there is some kind of "form" that needed to be filled out. I asked them to send me the form by e-mail, I will fill in and return. They said they could not give refund unless I allow them to access my computer. I refused. They keep calling back. Same exchange. I think their scam is they make up an excuse to access your computer, then they put some kind of bad virus in it, causing it to crash. Then when you call back for repairs they want to charge you more money to fix it. If they truly intended to give me a refund, why can't they just send it by mail? They claim they can't do that because the "refund department" needs to be connected to the computer.
Same deal. They called to access my computer in order to refund my money in which there is no refund to pay.
Once in, they lock me out of my computer and which now I have no access.
Then instead of refunding my money they wanted $500 to fix the problem they had created.
Usually the phone number shows up on the display " unavailable "
The number *******0000 is not a valid number. They just called me on a *******569 which connects into a new voicemail that is not set up.
Whatever you do never allow them into your computer.

Support Buddy called today and asked my wife to open the computer for them. Then they pretended to be a potential customer for our business. Ostensibly, to hold her on the line for an extended period of time. They are calling about one time per week to give us an update, refund, or PC cleaning. I believe that if you do business with Support Buddy, you will have to pay a ransom just to keep your computer in its present condition.
UPDATE:
5/22/17
Support Buddy continues to call. They state that they want me to open my computer so they can do an upgrade and they will refund my money. I have told them repeatedly that I will not open my computer for them again. Just this past week they called and stated that it was time for my annual update. A much younger female asked," Don't you want us to refund your money? I told them again that I had no desire to talk to them about anything and would not open my computer.

I received a phone call this evening. The Indians said they were from SupportBuddy. They mentioned they had received $299.99 from me a few years back. Because they were moving from the United States to Europe, they were required to reimburse me for the $299.99 I gave them a few years ago. I kept questioning them. They went into their bogus bank account... a Chase.com one and showed me a bogus name on account with so much money in it. They asked me repeatedly if I had a Paypal account. I said that I did. They wanted me to accept a payback of $1,000, but I must promise to only keep $300 and sent them $700 back. I said that didn't sound right. They had been questioned by me over and over and over again. Once I questioned their $1000 payback where I would have to reimburse them $700... they got the idea and hung up. I hope when they had access to my computer and darkened my screen that they did not put a virus on my computer or steal any of my information. I do know they had some really crazy ideas and the way they handled things was bizarre. They most definitely were not legitimate. Beware... they are persistent. I think God that I had many red flags and questioned them so much. Sure, I would love to have $299.99 reimbursed to my account but I did not want to lose more than that from some other account. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Gotcha!
They have scammed $1500. 00 dollars from me and hacked my bank account. Constant phone calls from over 20 different numbers and I am called multiple times a day stating they need to refund my money. I do not know what to do to stop this and will have to change my phone number.
We fell for this scam in June 2016. I regretted it as soon as we hung up the phone. I called our credit card company and stopped the payment. Thank goodness. They still call and tell us they want to refund our money but, my account was never charged. Today he said that the company had gone out of business and they had to refund the customers. I told them we hadn't paid anything and he said that I needed to get on my computer. No way. They have called so many times and sometimes we would hang up on them and they would call back immediately and say "why you hung up on me?" I told them to stop calling but, to no avail.
I was advised to get support buddy to get ride of an unwanted program. I paid $299 in Sept 2016 for a years service according to the invoice received from Support Buddy. I keep getting telephone calls telling me I have other problems. The only problems that I had were when I allowed Support Buddy to make changes to my PC. I have not used Support for anything since the one time in September 2016. I asked them to discontinue calling me, I was told that I owe them money. I have repeatedly hung up on the so-called english speaking person who told me I owed them for work performed. I removed everything I could relating to support using Microsoft uninstall on the Control Panel. On my PC I use Windows 7..
I have not had a negative experience. I came to them after a botched job with GeekSquad. These folks are a little hard to understand but they get the job done, in my home office, any time of day or night. They have fixed things, ported me across several computers, fixed Microsoft office and retrieved documents I was told were long gone. My experience is that they are fair and do what they say they will do. They have kept my Dell, HP and Toshiba products functioning. Though they say they don't do peripherals, they fixed my copier as well. They keep my small business running
Terrible "company"they try to get you to pay extra for services you dont need or really want i lost over 1000$ with them when they said they would refund my money and it all looked very good the numbers were there and just poof gone
I worked with this company. Let me tell you one thing that this is a scam. They are located in india and their company name is support mart technical services. They are doing this since long time. I think US government should take necessary action against them. They were doing scam that is why i left the job.
I don't get all the negative reviews. I love their service. It's nice to get my computer fixed and cleaned up right from my house without waiting for someone to come out or having to take it somewhere. Highly recommend this company.
I signed up with Support Buddy in July 2016 with their two year support plan for $499.99, BIG Mistake. Each time I called them to support my computer they wanted me to purchase something else to support my computer. The costs for each of these programs to support my computer was from $200.00 to $400.00 +. They always told me whenever I called I had a problem with my computer and I needed to purchase another program to fix the problem. THEY ARE CROOKS.
I have been scammed by India company representing Support Buddy. How do I get a refund? Support Buddy states they need bank information to get refund!
In July 2016, I got a bug, and I payed $450 for support buddy to fix. But I got a new computer for college, over christmas and stopped using the previously bugged one. I got a recent phone call from support buddy wanting to refund my account, and when they gained access, they locked me from my computer because they couldn't fund to a Credit Union. They proceeded to go through my files and open my webcamera. I had to shut down my computer and completely reset the whole thing. A giant scam, and a lot of BS. Don't trust them.
