As a bust lady, I needed an interview suit. It came much later than the day they estimated and I was never able to wear it, not that I would have wanted to because the material was so cheap and looked nothing like the pictures (and was a horribly unflattering material). Additionally, the measurements were not as I specified.

I suspect they did not try to customize the suit because it was not even the correct shape. The solutions they offer when the order does not fit are illusions. They want you to get it tailored and they pay for a portion of it even though you already paid for a custom suit. Alternatively, they ask you to send the product to them at your expense. So, they have the product and your money. I gave them many opportunities to rectify this order.

I placed an order with Sumissura as i requently order custom suits. The quality of the Fabio was as ordered Light Weight Wool. The fit and the profile that I saved on their web site are another story. I saved a profile and that was what i expected on my order. Its not what was delivered. They clearly made the mistake and they are not standing behind their promises. They are sending me down the street to a tailor to have the adjustment made... seriously this is not at all acceptable. I ordered NO POCKETS AND NO BELT LOOPS... Not what they delivered.

I recently ordered a suit in tweed. It was delivered in great quality and fits me well. I will order from this business in the future.

I was terrified to order from Sumissura because I saw some bad reviews about shoddy workmanship and inferior fabrics. But, I thought, what the hell, I'll give it try. I'm picky about clothes because I'm a professional and work long hours, and I need to be comfortable but also neat and professional. Overall, I was pleased with my order. I ordered seven shirts. The fabrics were okay and the fit was very good. They were exactly what I wanted, and I'm not sorry I ordered from them. Now, I've gone to a local tailor and gotten custom shirts made in Hong Kong, and those were super, super nice. But that was because I could pick super premium fabrics from samples at the tailor's shop. The highest price for a "premium" fabric on Sumissura was only about $99 for a shirt. That tells you something. The fabric will be good but not great. (While I'm certain there are exceptions, I follow the general rule that the higher the price, the better the fabric.) Here are my tips to maximize the possibility that you will be happy with your order:
1) Don't lie about your weight.
2) Do your measurements over and over and over again to confirm that they are accurate. If possible, get your measurements taken by a tailor because they know exactly how to measure your body. Remember this phrase: $#*! in/$#*! out. If you don't take the time to get really good measurements to give to Sumissura, then the shirt may not fit properly. Don't rush this part. I agonized over my measurements because I wanted my shirts to be much longer than you can normally buy. I have a long torso, and I HATE shirts that end above my crotch line. I prefer my crotch line covered up, so I need a longer blouse/shirt. I was very pleased with my blouses based on this alone.
3) Pick the absolute BEST fabric available. Sumissura does not have a great selection of fabrics, so your choices are limited. Whatever they offer, just make sure it's the best they have. It looks to me like they have a lot of crappy fabrics in their inventory.
4) Try to avoid using customer service if possible. I wanted a customized French sailor shirt and was willing to pay extra to have it made with a really good fabric, but they didn't understand my request and just kept offering to make the shirt out of fabric they had that I didn't like. It's a Chinese company, so perhaps there was a language barrier? Who knows, but if you need customer service help, I suspect your battle may already be lost.

I believe other reviewers who received merchandise they did not like, so I am not guaranteeing that your experience will be good. This was simply MY experience, and I was surprised at how pleased I was with the order. I will wear the clothes for a few weeks to see how they feel and will update my review with that info. Curious about how they will hold up to laundering/dry cleaning. Those are HUGE issues to me.

Everything arrived on a timely basis and the shirts were very well packaged.

Excellent Quality
October 12, 2017

I ordered two dresses with jackets to match, a pair of slacks and a blouse and I love each and every piece! I did have an issue with a few of the pieces for sizing but Sumissura was very easy to work with getting the proper fit with the remake. I definitely recommend their clothing and will be ordering again soon! DWillison in Oklahoma

They made my coat in the wrng colour fabric, then wanted to me to pay more to have in made in the colour I wanted.
The Customer Service is unhelpful, and kept asking for me to pay more money to correct the problem.
I read the reviews before i ordered, they were all glowing, they have obviously purchased a heap of good reviews from somewhere.
BUYER BEWARE - THIS WAS NOT A NICE EXPERIENCE.

Buyer beware: I was super excited to get my sumissura shirts because I have a terrible time finding dress shirts that fit and I hoped that custom-made would be the solution. To my dismay, all three shirts fit terribly despite my careful measuring and re-measuring (I've done some sewing myself, so I was pretty confident in my accuracy).
I submitted a report to customer service right away to get the process started and they had me take one shirt to a tailor. The tailor did her best, but altering them would have cost more than I paid for them in the first place and there still might not be enough fabric to make the proper changes (especially in the arms, which were very tight). I was reimbursed for the tailoring, but was delayed in sending pictures of the shirts to customer service because of issues in my personal life. I sent them along once I was able, but I had passed the company's 30 day deadline for resolution of the situation.
PLEASE NOTE: if you decide to take the risk and order from sumissura and you have issues, make sure to be really fast with your customer service claim. They have tight deadlines and no sympathy for tailors taking an unexpectedly long time, or for you or not being able to prioritize taking pictures of their ill-fitting clothing quickly enough. I now have three shirts that I spent a fair bit of money on that I can't wear and honestly don't want to regardless because this process has been so stressful. I understand the need to resolve customer complaints in a timely manner, but sometimes life happens and I would have appreciated a bit more understanding given that I had delivered what was asked to me in order to address their mistake.
I will not be ordering from sumissura again, and I suggest that you don't either.

Fraudulent company
June 6, 2017

Horrible quality and customer service. I ordered the "highest quality" (most expensive wool) for my suit and got a thin/transparent wrinkled piece of garbage that attracts lint and hair like crazy. I could deal with that since I did not order a sample before I made my purchase. The tailoring on the other hand made these items unwearable. The zipper was sewn on crooked, the seams were bunched up, the buttons are non-functional, the blazer was dirty, and they didn't even bother cutting all the threads off!
They refused to give me a refund, only 20% of the value to spend on their website. Why would I want to spend more money on their junk? On top of that you have to pay for the shipping back if you want them to fix it. Also, they lied to my credit card company when I opened a dispute. You can buy a better quality suit at H&M or Forever 21. Just spend the money on a good quality suit elsewhere and have it tailored. You will regret this purchase as I did. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Sumissura does not make custom suits. They take the measurements you give them, align them with their standard sizes, and deliver a ready-made suit.

We ordered a $350 custom suit from them. When the suit arrived, it was too small in every way. We took it to a trusted tailor in town, who measured the suit and compared it to the measurements we had given Sumissura. The measurements of the suit were nowhere near the measurements we submitted. For example, the shoulders of the suit were 5cm smaller than the measurements we gave.

When we emailed the asking for a refund, they repeatedly ignored our desire to return the suit, then stopped replying altogether. When we tried to post a review on another site, they had it taken down saying it was false. We had to submit a picture of the receipt to get it back up.

I ran a trial run of this service, ordering 1 pair of straight leg corduroy pants. The fabric was horrible. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen such thin corduroy - oh, maybe at a Kmart or the like. The styling was hideous. I'm pretty sure all they did was take my measurements and add another inch. There you have it. Pants that are not comfortable. Pants that cling. Yuck. ** Note: This company has many websites (Sumisura, Sumissura, Tailor4Less, etc.)
