Worst than Google
August 17, 2021

I would rate Zero but that wasn't an option. They are making money hand over fist but when you have a problem you can't speak to someone. I was on hold for 25 minutes and when they answered they hung up. Burn iin hell jackass

0 stars for billing. We only had internet with them with the intention to leave 6 months out of each year and it would be on season hold. The Rep said there would be no charge for that time. Next billing there was a charge and when I called they said the previous Rep was wrong and they couldn't honor it and that it would be at least a $10 a month charge. I then received notice that they were charging me a monthly fee for TV, which is a fee our Condo HOA pays monthly for everyone. Now the bill was showing $140. They told me twice they would correct that, but it never came off my bill. A half dozen calls and calls not returned tells me there is something serious wrong with this company. I just cancelled today after a 1 hour workout on the phone to get the right person. She could not even give me my final bill (which I know will be wrong). Every time I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was disconnected. Very dishonest company.

Today's average speed to Suddenlink's servers 40 miles away is 1.16 Mbps. If you like crazy high ping rates and speeds that are comparable with a 56K modem, then this is the company to go with. Unfortunately, this is a rural area and Suddenlink is the only company in the area. Suddenlink knows this and treats their customers accordingly. Will ditch this looser company as soon as anything else comes available. Starlink where are you?

The only day we had great internet was recently was during a wide spread power outage. We were running on a generator and were likely one of just a few able to use the internet and saw speeds 200 to 300 Mbps.

Suddenlink is a joke. I paid my bill on time every month, yet they didn't process my payment till after my due date. Which they have now put as I paid my bill late when I have proof I have always paid it on time. Then when I ask to speak to a supervisor to fix the problem I am told I am not allowed to speak to a supervisor. Then when I ask them why I can't they hang up on me without responding to my question. They have no respect for their customers. They have gotten rude with me for asking why they are claiming my bill is late.

Bait and switch
January 28, 2018

Where I live Suddenlink is a high speed ISP monopoly. They offer all these low price bundles then pull the rug out from under you. I went from paying $20.00 a month to $109.00 a month. The prices go up and up. The services and quality however go down and down. There are no other options in area other than "bend over"

Horrible provider!
July 15, 2021

We moved out here close to 4 months ago. This is a new neighborhood and Suddenlink is unfortunately the only internet service available. I pay for the highest service available (1000) which is actually much more than I actually need, but hey, the cost is not too much above what I do need. For the past 4 months my service has been intermittently horrible, and their customer service is a huge disappointment for the most part. If given the opportunity I will be parting ways with this completely unreliable provider. What is the point of paying for internet that cannot be used?! I make my living remotely so this is a huge problem for me. To anyone who is considering going with this provider I can only offer this advice - If you have a
choice, ABSOLUTELY DON'T DO IT! The headaches simply aren't worth it no matter what kind of a "deal" they are offering!

Only game in town...
August 16, 2021

1. They held my payment check for a week then charged a late fee. (I feel like they are forcing paperless billing or autopay!)
2. I have cancelled a hidden charge twice but am still charged.
3. After several Internet related complaints they sent a technician to fix it. He was surly and rude to my wife.
4. I am paying for 400mps but never get over 25mps.
5. They know that they are the only game in town!

Hi

We been using Suddenlink ever since we moved down to Regina, Kentucky.

Years later, BAM, Suddenlink charges over $200 per month JUST for scams. High Speed Internet? All we got instead was refurbished equipment that came out of the damn RIVER! They've gotten fined $2.2 million dollars for their ignorance not too long ago. But they probably haven't even paid it. My family uses the internet for social media viewing, article reading, watching YT videos

But me personally, I'm a content creator, without the proper internet, I can't stream but I can record/upload videos. But their services has been so $#*!ty lately. It's gotten to the point where people are cancelling their services with the provider. It's ridiculous. Hell, over THREE WEEKS AGO. Suddenlink's sent in one of their newest so-called "contractors" over to my place and here's what they did. In the photo tied to this review, you can see that Suddenlink's newest so-called "contractors" came over to my place to replace the copper-wiring cable with fiberoptics and this is the $#*! that remains on our lawn. A spool of fiberoptic cable following by three $#*!ing pylons. They need to be banned from the country for LIFE! Cuz this $#*!'s ridiculous. I'm not paying over $200 per month with this $#*! in my lawn.

I have been suddenlink customer for more than 5 years. Today, they disconnected my service without any warning. I have been on autopay for years and they forgot to charge my account this month. And disconnected my service. I am on hold for 20 minutes to reach customer service. Very poor online service.

Horrible
June 16, 2020

I have had suddenlink for 6 years, nonother options. Intermittent service... call customer service and talk to someone who can barely speak english. Each time i am told i have a bad router. I have had to replace router 5 times in a month. Now i am having to pay for them to bring a router. I am buying their service, renting the equipment and i have to pay them to bring it. I bought 3 different routers to use, called suddenlink to connect, each time i was told router wont work. These were routers listed for suddenlink. Customer service is horrible... barely understsnd them when they talk, cant speak english very well. If you have other options avoid suddenlink.

Terrible!
July 2, 2020

We had arson fire damage to our suddenlink box. Had to call several times to get a tech out to fix it while our phone/internet was down, bad for my business. Finally get a tech out, guy literally cussed me out using the F word because Suddenlink set up my account as residential. I live on site at my business so it is both residential and commercial. Tech refused to fix our phone/internet until I changed the way our account was set up. Until I called his boss who really didn't care this tech was aggressive for no good reason uuuuugh I hate Suddenlink!

Suddenlink internet, WIFI and phone services are a JOKE! Please do yourself a favor and run away from Suddenlink services. If the house you want to buy is in an area where ONLY Suddenlink services are available, keep looking! I have had to learn the hard way and I don't wish any of this pain, frustration, terrible service, and outrageous price gouging that comes with Suddenlink on anybody. Suddenlink SUCKS!

They promised a $100 Amazon gift card if i kept them for three months. They had to come to the house three times to get my services somewhat functional. During this time period they told me to ignore the bill i had just recieved. They said my billing would actually start when my service was correct. Now it is February of 2020 and no amazon card. When i called them and got through the holds they put you on I was told i was not elegible for the card. They said i should have gone ahead and paid the bill for services that were not being recieved. They said i should have known that was necessary regardless of what they representative told me.

I have had problems ever since they got altice. This last episode took the cake, my wife called them the last week in may to get additional box for our TV in the bedroom, they set appointment for Thursday June 4th between 8:00 am - and 11:00. We waited, and waited finally at around 12:00 pm she calls them and they tell her there was no such appt., she tells them when she called they again tell her no, they tell her the last time we called was in April and that was for an extension on our bill. My wife said no we did not the rep. Begins to argue and wfe asks to speak to someone higher up he says ok she waits for a good 5 minuets and he says someone will get back to her within 24 hours. Guess what, not a call one and oh by the way my wife called on the 3 Rd of June and paid our bill he said no record of that she says there better be.

August 15, 2017

This company, customer service, call center supervisors, agents sucks. I made my payment before my extention deadline and still they still disconnected my service, not to mention charging me the $ 10.00 disconnected fee and for not having service for two days. I have; spoken to numerouspeoplelike agents supervisers and chat and not gets fixed on there end just more charges and fees and god knows what else. I am switching companies and never dealing with this company. It is at a -10,000 for poor customer service, poor management, they dont know what they have or they tell lies. They cant even say the same lie or agree on the same lie... disappointed, upset, and angry

Consistently down and incompetant. Ever since bought over by Altice its even worse, use third party contractors they charged for service outages even when I told them they I'm ok. Dishonest marketing practices. Told me I they switched me to lower plan only to find out months later they didnt do that.

Customers frequently express frustration over frequent service outages, poor internet performance, and inadequate responses to issues. While some positive feedback exists regarding the initial sales experience, the overwhelming sentiment is one of dissatisfaction, highlighting a lack of effective communication and resolution from customer service.
