I was having so much trouble trying to book a flight using the credit that I had from a previous trip. I called costumer service concerned, alarmed and annoyed. However, the lady on the phone calmly explained to me what was happening and I realized I had made the math wrong. Then, she kindly proceeded to offer options and solutions that could accomodate my itinerary and my budget. By the end of the call I was pretty much satisfied.

I have not yet shopped with you, but I am planning to do so now. I found a very good price for a flight. Before buying, I would like to ask you that I am 48 years old. Can I still buy a ticket?
I was supposed to have a flight on July 5th, but it got canceled. Apparently, Air Canada notified all the travel agencies on June 29th that they need to reschedule their customer's flights. However, all my flights got canceled over and over again without any notifications. They messed up and are not willing to pay the penalty for a flight that is on a different day, because it is more expensive. They take no responsibilities and just say "I understand" whenever I get frustrated over their lack of communication and dedication.
Update: Although I had to pay an additional fee of about $240 CAD, they managed to book me another flight from a different airline, which satisfied me. I still did not like the fact that it took hours of stressing and phone calls to get this result.
Student Universe worked hard on my behalf to get a full refund from British Airways who wanted to charge a $300 cancellation fee. They also waived their student Universe cancellation fee. The only reason I gave them a 4 star and not 5 was because it took a long time. It probably wasn't even their fault they had to wait for the airlines approval. Every time i reached out they always got back to me. In the end they have a happy customer. I will still have to wait two more weeks for British Airways to issue the refund to me. I was shopping for last-minute tickets. Every other website I checked was at least $100 more than StudentUniverse. I checked reviews, and it looked legitimate. I bought my ticket, and in less than an hour it was on the airline's website as confirmed. I'll shop here from now on!
Avoid using this company at all cost. Their customer service is horrible, it has taken over three weeks and hours on the phone to get a refund on the refundable ticket I purchased and they charged BS fees to get that done. They told me for weeks that they couldn't refund my ticket, the airline would refund the ticket directly, even though SU charged my card and not the airline. Only after I made a rep from SU do a conference call with the airline did they finally agree to cancel the flight with the airline and refund my money and it still took them over a week to accomplish this task.

Firstly, I want to say that I am really excited that my match is coming to meet me all the way from Dallas to Jackson. We vibed and hence, the profit for united airlines. I hope you provide him with good service and lighten up his mood so that when he land, he is in a good mood and excited as myself when we see each other for the first time.
Frustrating that prices are much cheaper for younger students than for graduate students like myself who are older and are less likely to have family financial support than our counterparts in their twenties.
Hi, sorry you felt that way. Many of our airline partners do not place additional age restrictions on full time students looking to book discounted travel. However, there are some instances where age is factored in as a requirement. As an agent, we are ultimately bound by the terms and conditions imposed by airlines and do not have the ability to override their rules. We are vigorous advocates for student travel and firmly believe that travel helps contribute to a more rounded education. We fully support the view that student airfares should be accessible to ALL students irrespective of age and will continue to proactively lobby for all eligibility rules to be updated to reflect this.
The price offered was better than purchasing direct from airline but it was not clear about seat selection and I was led to believe I would be able to which is not the case. I now am stuck calling the airlines to try and rectify. Not pleased with this

My travel credit of over $1,150 was reduced by $400 for no reason. I encounted exorbitant additional fees and flight costs when attempting to use the travel credit. The flights were advertised for $69 but StudentUniverse tried to charge over $350.

After purchasing the ticket I was required to sent additional documents by email, including the card I used to buy it which seemed dangerous at first. But I cover the numbers and after sending that my flight was reserved.

We had been searching for a one way return trip from Paris to Minneapolis. We used frequent flyer miles to get to Europe, but pay for returns were so expensive. At first prices weren't too bad on other sites, but the options almost always went through LHR. That is too difficult an airport for us to navigate. We came across the StudentUniverse website & it offered both decent prices and an option through Dublin, an airport we use often & on AerLingus of which we are frequent flyers. It was a win-win, so we booked. The only thing I didn't realize was the $50. Fee to join StudentUniverse. Perhaps I didn't read carefully enough & I hope this trip goes smoothly.
I found the flights I wanted and could book them easily. However, after that, I received five (!) confirmation emails in the following hour, and then I received another email two days later asking me if I had received a booking confirmation. As I also had to book another flight, my whole email inbox was flooded with StudentUniverse emails, and that felt unnecessary and unpleasant. Please, StundenUniverese, can you only send one email confirmation per flight next time?
Purchased 3 ticket for flights that were subsequently canceled by the airline. A year later, no refund. I have received confirmation from SU that the money was refunded, but never received the refund.

This is the worst company to book with! They overcharge you for flights and are unable to tell you what these fees are. Asking to pay a price for a new ticket just for change of flight dates, and they have bad customer service! Definitely not for students! DO NOT BOOK!

My experience was bad actually as compared to any other website. I was having a coupon and while checking flights, and it got applied. But since I did not do the booking, when I was trying to use it for my actual flight booking, it was showing as "Coupon already redeemed".
Their response during the Covid19 outbreak has been shocking. They cut you off while trying to receive support and don't bother contacting them 48 hours before your flight. By that point its too late, you might get through in a week. Their online options are misleadingly labelled when trying to rebook automatically and if you are unlucky you can inadvertently cancel your flight with no confirmation and worthless 'StudentUniverse credit' that you have to call to use or even see.
Don't use this company, don't trust them, they will screw you over.
