Flight cancelled within an hour of booking due to covid.
Rung up straight away was told refund had been applied.
7 weeks later (and numerous emails) still no refund. I have checked with my bank to see if the refund is pending and nothing.
I have been continually told it is my banks fault, despite my bank checking and me also receiving refinds from other companies in the meantime.
Hideous, do not book with them unless you want to gift them $300!
The website interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy for me to find the flight information I need. The prices are also very reasonable, much cheaper than other websites.
I was routed from Kayak to the StudentUniverse site and was able to book a flight for less money on a good airline. I was skeptical and googled the site for potential "scams" but it's legit. We bought a flight and we were able to call them to make sure we got the ticket issued so we could buy a seat. The reservation did not enable us to pick a seat at the time of purchase.

This was my first time booking through student universe and it was a great experience and affordable prices, especially for round trips except that I did not see any student discount. The person that referred me mentioned a student discount and was looking forward to that.
Bought 2 tickets to go to Europe. Bought economy from StudentUniverse which was basic economy on the airlines reservation, which would translate in $400 extra luggage fees!
Canceled a few hours after booking, canceled the insurance also. StudentUniverse reimbursed the insurance cancellation fees. I appreciate it!
This waa supposed to not have hidden fees and there are. Also, no way to contact airlines to follow up and complete booking. Deplorable. Last time I use this. Ended up spending more than on google flights.
Even though the server was down at the first few hours, I can see your staff working really late at night to bring back the server. And I had a good experience when talking to one of your staff over the phone, he was supportive and informative, really like this shopping experience.
When I first tried booking my flight, I received an error saying that the flight could not be booked. No more than a minute after that, Catherine from Student Universe called me and helped sort everything out. The price of the flight increased from when we selected the seats, so that's why we received the error, but Catherine helped rebook us over the phone. Thank you!

These airlines are not student friendly or helpful. They only care about getting money out of our pockets and nothing. No service, no availability. I don't understand how they use covid as a reason for their irresponsive behavior. Other big airlines are pretty much helpful especially in covid times. Please don't book a ticket in this website. All they could give was some automatic reply. They will make you wait in line for a single call for hours. I don't know if they are trying to act busy since they are just some fake company that only takes people money. If you want to reschedule your flight, they will cost the difference equal to new flight. They will always squander your money without any proper service. I have been trying to reach them for three days but no avail. Please please dont use this website. You are going to just lose some money.

They are kind of cheating. They are a fraud company looting money from people. If you want to lose your money so you can go with StudentUniverse.
They loot $1200 from me. I so regret when I booked ticket from them. Don't do book ticket from this scam operation buyer beware if you don't lose your money.
They only want your money and are done with you once they have it, greedy selfish shady operators.
My lesson tells everybody to avoid them for your safety. They just want to hurt your wallet and your bank.

This company is a $#*! show. I wish I would have read the reviews before I booked. I wasn't told a flight was cancelled and was going to be left hundreds of miles away from my destination in another country. Their customer service was nice at first and helped me rebook. HOWEVER, later on I got an email stating my arrival time is different than what we agreed on so I called to see if my original flight was back on. They reviewed my flight and even though the original flight wasn't cancelled they would only put me back on for an additional fee even though it was my original plan. Then, after talking to the supervisor she told me the flight was still cancelled and she asked me who told me it was back on... LIKE YOU DID? Overall, this has been a big waste of time and money. The prices were comparable to other companies and they're nothing special. As someone who travels abroad often, I will never book with them again.

It was the first time I purchased my flight ticket with them so I was so skeptic. Very straightforward website! Hours later I contacted them to ask for the e ticket. The gentleman was so polite and while on the phone he sent me the e ticket and gave me some necessary information. The trust was built when I talked to him. I wish them success. I was getting same/ lesser offer from other websites. I used studentuniverse because my friend referred me. I wanted to use his referral code so that he and I get discount. I did not get any code.
I also wanted to use promo code for new user. But it did not get apply either.
So there was/ is no point using studentuniverse.

It was a good experience since I got the cheapest flight with flexibility through student universe. However during the payment stage I was a bit confused because because after clicking to confirm payment the website was loading for a long time for confirmation so I was very much tensed that time.
I've had to cancel two flights within 24 hours of booking. Both times got quickly onto a real human operator, who cancelled and fully refunded flights immediately. I've also booked a number of other flights through StudentUniverse, and they're normally some of the cheapest around and are ticketed immediately.
Easy to use and to get assistance. They have actually cheep flights, my life would have been more fun if i knew about studentUniverse years ago. I found the flight I wanted quickly, flights offered were cheep and good flights, and I was charged the price listed and got, for an extra $5, a 72 hour full refund canceled. And there were no weird extra charges. I needed to add my TSA and frequent flier number and chatted with the message box and they responded quickly and didn't make me feel completely useless for not being able to figure out all the parts on my own. After that I everything was done and there where no mishaps with the plane, it was just normal boring flight.
SU had the lowest price for a route not available on other sites. Turned out to be a 'hacker' route that required paying for baggage and seats on both legs of the 'connecting' flight. SU collected a fee for the baggage at purchase which turned out to be 30% of the true baggage costs. SU refunded me the baggage costs that it collected and I was on my own to pay $500+ for bags. Not very good.
