StudentUniverse has been my go-to for flight booking since I was an undergraduate studying hundreds of miles from home. And now as I pursue my Masters abroad it continues to be a critical budgeting tool for me!
Informative booking site, easy to navigate, competitive fare and smooth transaction. The only different experience is that I was provided the airline reservation code, but did not receive the e-ticket right after the ticket purchase, but was informed the e-ticket may be available on the airline's site/app in a week or so, and will always appear at least 3 days before departure.
UI is very user friendly. However I saw that there is no way to remove orders from cart after adding. Also I faced a bug where the promo code I applied din't go through and it charged me full amount. The website needs to be more stable.
This site is barely real. If you buy insurance (don't bother) it's booked through a third party so they 'cant really do anything' about the insurance you bought on their site. Looking up Google flights brings up better deals than what they have to offer over the phone. But, if you don't love yourself enough to avoid the site always talk to a manager if you have problems: went from someone telling me it would cost $4000 to change a flight (even though I purchased $100 travel insurance) to the manager saying he could do it for free — at that point I had already purchased a new flight so I took travel credit. 3 hours of my life, gone.
First time this company and quick and great service. I bought my flight ticket and I got a second email confirmation within 5 minutes.
Student universe is actually horrible. They lie a lot and the narrative changes every time I've called. The first original time I used their site they charged me twice without letting me know that they were charging me twice. That ticket was refunded and the money still has not made its way to my account. I've called a total of 4 time and the refund date has change four times. It went from 3-5 day to 7-10 days to 1 month to 2 months. They are very rude and dismissive. They don't listen to the different lies that they tell you. They are continuously trying to make me sound wrong when I'm fully capable of hearing and understanding the words said to me. 10/10 would not recommend to any body unless your up for scams. They also charged my good friend a total of 314.65 when she was under the impression that she was only spending 265.15. They suck.

I had never heard of Student Universe and am prone to anxiety when it relates to booking flights and travel plans. I spoke to Sheen (spelling?) twice who was extremely patient and held my hand the whole time while I booked online and assured me several times that I didn't have to be a student or faculty member, etc. I've already recommended Student Universe to two friends. I was VERY pleased that someone picked up the phone promptly to help me because so many places make it very difficult to reach an actual person. I paid for the priority support but thought long and hard about it because the service was so good to begin with but then the anxiety kicked in and I thought it might be important later on if there was a problem. Very pleased with Student Universe. I would recommend you maybe work harder on getting the word out. No one has heard of you. I just happened across your name in an article about what websites to look at to book a flight online. Thanks!
I have found amazing deals through SU, went to Europe 3 times this summer all at incredibly low prices. But be aware, sometime you get a cheap deal because you are forgoing luggage, or switching airlines halfway through. Just be attentive to the deal your accepting.
I just booked a flight to Canada through Student Universe and got it at an amazing deal. This is not the only time I have used it for International and domestic flights. Most of the time you can find the best prices here (not always though). I use it as a baseline to see in comparison with other companies. Not sure why all of these other people are freaking out about charges and other prices. Haven't noticed anything of the sort. Better to be flexible while traveling than these people probably booking last minute. Overall, I like the site a lot. Would recommend.

From the moment of my first contact, all the way through a last-minute name change, StudentUniverse made the booking and payment of 51 tickets for my high school choir a painless process. My representative, Michael Robinson, was with me every step of the way. He took the time to answer every question and made sure I totally understood every aspect of our ticket procedure. I would absolutely use them again, especially if I was able to have the same representative. My only suggestion would be to have a way that we could pick our seats. I had many students who had never flown before, so it would have been great to let them pick their seat mates. I don't know if this is something the StudentUniverse has any control over or not. It certainly did not affect my overall rating, because *everything* else was perfect!

Sent on card details and they confirmed my flight. Very good response time and customer service, all things considered. It's really annoying having to give such details to the card and commercial companies though, but not really anyone's fault I guess. Just SOP.

I booked a roundtrip flight on here for my study abroad trip to Dublin. This was my first time using this website. It saved me over $600 compared to other booking sites. I had the cost withdrawn from my account, but immediately put back into it. This procedure has made me wary of spending any money for the past two weeks because I am unsure if the payment will come out of my account again.
I love how cheap the fare is, however, not getting my tickets right away does not sit well with me. It actually brings up a lot of anxiety. They don't tell you until after you book that it can take up to a week for you to get your tickets. I'm really hoping this doesn't backfire...
