The flight tickets are really affordable but there is an issue with the baggage allowance for a student is not that great so take care of it and get it sorted.

Booking was easy and user friendly! I love the option to pick my price with flexible dates to see the cheapest options. SU by far had the clearest process from all discount sites I've used.

The second leg of my daughter's flight was cancelled before she left her origin, but after she'd checked in online. Upon calling SU, the team took the case immediately, ran with it through rescheduling (3 people involved). She'll be home a few days late, but not stranded in Rome - Kudos.

Representative was very responsive in making change necessary for passport and booking names to be consistent. Even waived the alleged $50 fee to do so...which seemed appropriate since ticket had not fully be charged or booked.

Website was easy enough. Had to call about a potential issue with charging a card that said it didn't work but when I called I received immediate and helpful service. Right now we're experiencing, after a week, of the transaction only being partially made on our bank account. They have not charged us the full amount yet. Which is confusing. Anyways, other than that quick and easy I would say.

Trip got cancelled, had to request refund. Was only allowed travel credit under very strict conditions(which would not have existed if we booked direct with airline). Every person we talked to over the phone had no idea what they were talking about and gave us different information. Ended up losing over $1000 because of this misinformation. Would never ever use again, even is we saved money because it was such a hassle. Worst company ever. Would give 0 stars if i could
The tickets were slightly cheaper than expedia and kayak, however the confirmation email does not contain any useful information, it just sends you to their site for details, which is slightly inconvenient.
I had never heard of StudentUniverse until Kayak showed that it had the cheapest booking option for a flight, and I had a great experience! It was easy to use, and was somehow so inexpensive compared to any other website.
Overall, I've had good fortune using student universe since I heard of it years ago. Decent prices, easy to use website, and all that. I only ever had an issue with one order but that was way back when
Everything went much better than expected! It was fast and easy. At some point, I had to call Customer Service and had a very positive experience. I'll definitely use StudentUniverse for future trips.
After we booked with the company I realised I had forgot to book passenger as site ace for my disabled son. I had trouble trying to do this myself via the actual airline. I emailed SU and within an hour they had it all sorted out for me. I personally felt them great to communicate with.
I had a typo on my husbands date of birth and while it did take 3 phone calls to get it corrected, I finally received the correction in an email from your customer service department. Thank you for your help.
I have never been treated so badly and so unprofessionally by a company within the Australian regulatory space. It is a shock to me that they are still operating. They have dedicated 'Charge-back Specialists' which speaks VOLUMES about how they operate and the kind of values they hold. If you're employing someone to look into why banks are protecting their customers from you and refusing to authorise your charges, you need to seriously consider your conduct.
I would caution anyone and everyone not to go anywhere near Student Universe. Warn your friends and family too! I wish I read these reviews before proceeding.

Website failures, issue with the booking, and supremely unhelpful customer service. Instead of having my request answered, I was advised to "reserve a set for only $5," etc. Unbelievable. This agency does not seek to be of service, their only goal is profit and they have found the convenient student niche to extract any money possible. Buyer beware!
