I used to do most of my shopping with stop and shop. Missing deliveries, double billed, worst service. I used to also go to their stores for hard to find items not on website but now I have spend much less and go elsewhere. Such a stressful situation with this company. They are losing a lot of business from me as I can't tolerate repetitive incompetence. They don't care about their customers.

I used to do most of my shopping with stop and shop. Missing deliveries, double billed, worst service. I used to also go to their stores for hard to find items not on website but now I have spend much less and go elsewhere. Such a stressful situation with this company. They are losing a lot of business from me as I can't tolerate repetitive incompetence. They don't care about their customers.

Products used:
I had to call bbb because my first order was never delivered. Instacart was almost here then went back to her home saying she had emergency. Stop and shop then placed another order the next day and recharged me. Took two weeks 50 calls to care who couldn’t care less to escalate to bbb to get money back for missing order. I used to shop 250 a week now barely 75 to 80 week.

The Granby, CT Stop & Shop has been on a continuous down hill slide since the day it opened. The latest - no cashiers on duty at 9:00 pm, Tuesday March 12. I don't need to be taking someone's job away by self-checking out and packing my own bags. And if Stop & Shop is going to require that of me at least give me a meaningful discount. The greed of Stop and Shop is overwhelming.

I purchase some groceries and before I could go through the door the paper bag that I paid 10 cent for fell apart. You need to purchase better bags. It is a waste of the customers money to pay for bags that don't hold the groceries. A lot of customers is having the same problem. You need to go back to practice at lease the groceries would be able to make it to our homes before falling apart.

Paper bags - get rid of them and purchase the plastic.

Went to pick uo a few items middle of the day, one cashier, many self check outs, waited at cashier for 20 minutes, 4 people in line. Not a friendly face in the store, except cashier whom seemed frustrated no manager found
I will not go back, the survey is very difficult to get to online as well maybe they dont want to really know

When I first started7 years ago with pea pod,it was great I loved it, then it became stop and shop.It still was good.Now its horrible, website sometimes is screwed up. Now they go through instacart,and they are bad news.Not as good getting your order right.bc they dont care they work for themselves.They know they will never see you again.and instcart charges a service fee on top of the delivery fee...and its only going to get worse.,I was on the phone over an hour trying to fix the website with customer care.I give up with stop and shop

Old rotten apples with holes and turning brown and soft. I recommend buying elsewhere! Customer Service is a joke! No live help with texting as I am deaf! Discriminating! And against the law.

My complaint is regarding Stop and Shop markets. First I use my Stop and Shop card when I shop that should always get me the best price on everything automatically. Why do we have to go to the site and clip coupons? What is the point of using the Stop and Shop card? Second the constant moving around of products drives me crazy. Having to search almost every time I shop is just frustrating. Contrary to your research it doesn't make me buy more. Third Stop and Shop prices are not very competitive. Lastly the reward points, if you consider the gas price after using you reward points the savings are minimal at best. I guess I'm going to have to deal with the crowds at Market Basket. I will miss the friendly people who work at the Somerset store.

I bought a ribeye steak today, which is my favorite and I prepared it the way I usually do which is salting both sides for several hours before searing in my the cast-iron skillet. This was the toughest piece of meat I have had all year. Totally dissatisfied. Waste of money and a waste of time. Shame on you.

Recent delivery service used in Gloucester, however have learned delivery comes from North Reading 1.1st ttime all refrigerator items missing. They sent a day later but I needed that day to prepare food for an event and delivery doesn't allow pick up from local store to correct errors. 2.2nd time, last week used when family member coming home from hospital, service put all bags for large order on front door wet porch in rain, when I opened they then put some bags inside in hallway but didn't deliver up 1/2 flight to kitchen. Bags w wet bottoms broke when customer moved them. Cold cuts were old and we threw away on day 2. Produce old and moldy, threw away strawberries and other produce wi 3 days. I will never use delivery from your north reading warehouse again. You just send old stuff ready to be thrown away. Overall it was disaster when needed and couldn't get out to stores with sick family member at home. Terrible experience.

I needed flowers for a very ill friend and made the huge mistake of buying them in the Floral Department here. Never again. The tulips were so dull and old and flown in from Canada. The Alstromerias were also quite old looking, dull in color and limp. It was not until I received floral arrangements from a florist that I realized Alstromerias look nothing like the old ones being sold in Stop and Shop. I was completely ripped off but wanted to give my friend some cheer. It was embarrassing to buy such old flowers in such bad shape and I will not be back.

Tip for consumers:
No one in the Floral Department to speak with about other suggestions. Very, very disappointed.

Stop and Shop's delivery was never great, but since switching to Instacart, it is downright terrible. It never arrives in the delivery window. Today's delivery was to be between 9am and 10am. I called at 10:30 only to be told there was no driver available. They blamed it on Instacart. Sorry. Not buying it. Now I have to sit around and wait for an order that was already packed and is sitting somewhere while the cold food goes bad.

Stop and Shop's website had the time slot. I chose it. That's a contract. They do not get to blame their subcontractor.

Switching to Shop Rite.

We have been using online home delivery for years
Now they have away with their own trucks and drivers
They use Instacart now
The worst experience ever. Late Deliveries, Long waiting time to find out where your order is and when will it be delivered
Unrefrigerated delivery out of someone's back seat or car trunk
Poor customer service. I think they closed their warehouse and are shopping at the nearest store
And if an Instacart driver is not available your food sits for hours until they find a driver
One order at a time. Not a truck full of orders
We wil never shop there again. Customer service says their getting a lot of complainants

I went to shopping today and wanted to redeem a Butterball gift check given to my family from my husband's employer. I have been redeeming this gift check for over 10 years and haven't had an issue until I ran into the Manger on Duty (Raj) at 1415 Providence Highway, Norwood, MA. Raj did not give a thought to denying the return of my change when the order was slightly less than the value of the check. {Food cost $26.00 – check $30.00; change $4.00} Raj said to the cashier only redeem the check for $30 and give no change. That has NOT been the case in the past and I tried to explain that the check would be honored for the full $30 but Raj would not listen for 1 second and abruptly said No! His response was extremely rude, without customer support, and he showed no evidence of professionalism. Customer service is not important to Raj and I would suggest if you go to this store make sure you buy your food with cash or credit and get out without discussion. Raj is not customer friendly.

I have a stop and shop online account. It was great prior to the pandemic. Since then, unfortunately, the app freezes, is slow and consistently does not accept any gift cards. I tried calling and was on hold for over 45 minutes on 2 see separate calls to resolve the problem, but gave up and am without a resolution. I will cancel my account and wish you week with yours.

I'M HOMEBOUND/MOSTLY BEDRIDDEN. I RELIED ON SNS/PEAPOD FOR MY FOOD SINCE 2012. THEY'RE WELL AWARE OF MY PHYSICAL DISABLITIES AND USED TO GIVE C.S. $$5-$10 CREDITS WHEN THEY MESSED UP. BY 2022 THEY BECAME REALLY BAD; VERY LATE DELIVERIES, STAPLE ITEMS OF STOCK, COUPONS/SALES NOT TAKEN OFF, DAMAGED ITEMS+.
IN DEC. 2023 THEY STOPPED USING PEAPOD'S WAREHOUSE IN JERSEY CITY, NJ (FOR NYC) AND NOW HAVE TERRIBLE LOCAL STORE "PERSONAL SHOPPERS" & "INSTACART' (LIKE UBER, BUT HALF DRIVERS CAN'T SPEAK/READ ENGLISH!) ARE THEIR 3RD PARTY DELIVERER. THEY STINK! EVERY ORDER IS OUT OF STOCK ON 4+ DIFF. ITEMS (BEFORE THE MOST WAS 2 DIFF. ITEMS!), DAMAGED ITEMS FAR WORSE, NO MORE CLOTH BAGS, NOW THIN PAPER OVERLOADED BAGS ONLY. ONE DELIVERY WAS 90-MIN LATE WITH NO CONTACT (INEXCUSABLE- MY ACCOUNT SAYS "DISABLED: NO LATE DELIVERIES"). PLUS NOW NO MORE CUSTMOR SERVICE CREDITS NO MATTER HOW BADLY THEY MESS UP! PICTURE IS HOW DRIVER HANDED ME BAGS! I'LL BE FINDING A NEW STORE.

A couple of weeks ago I stopped by the Stop & Shop on Route 7, Main Avenue, Norwalk, CT. The morning started off great. After entering the store, I felt winded. Very quickly I could not catch my breathe or walk more than a couple of steps. I turned around to quickly check out my bottle of olive oil and red wine vinegar. I had to sit down at the self checkout and try to compose myself. Your lovely employee, LAURA, came over to me and offered her help. She stayed with me and quickly checked me out and bagged my purchase. She offered her assistance more than once and wished me home safely.

That afternoon my son took me to the Emergency Room. The doctors found a very large blood clot in one lung and the other lung surrounded by fluid. My doctor told me I was part of a miracle after recovering from a pulmonary artery embolectomy.

I thanked LAURA when I returned to Stop & Shop today. She had noticed I was in trouble and did not hesitate to offer her aid. She shifted into a kind and loving person. I will never forget LAURA. She hugged me today and I feel I have a new friend.

Thank you for hiring a genuine person who shows she can do a great job at her position but also truly cares for others as a kind human being.

I PRINTED THE EMAIL THEY SENT TO ME... I ALSO OPENED THE SITE ON MY CELL PHONE...AND IN BOTH CASES THEY SAID THIS STOP AND SHOP DOES NOT HONOR ANY EMAILS OR WEBSITE... I HAVE TO COME IN AND GET THAT STORES FLYER TO SHOP

THIS IS NUTS...AND NEEDS TO STOP NOW...SO I AM CONTACTING OTHERS WHO WERE TURNED AWAY INSIDE STOP AND SHOP FROM ANY ADVERTISMENT SENT TO THEM...

THEY NEED TO STOP ALL FALSE ADVERTISING THEN... CORPORATE OFFICE SAYS THE ADVERTISING IS NOT FALSE...AND WANTS TO KNOW WHEN A STORE DOES NOT HONOR THE PRICES BUT THERE IS NEVER ANY PENALTY

I have shopped at Stop and Shop for 40 years and never have I had a problem with anything. The shelves are always stocked with fresh food. Deli meats are awesome as well as produce. The associates are helpful in assisting me when I need to locate an item or can't reach an item. The prices are great as well as receiving Go Rewards which have helped immensely towards gas. And last but not least awesome food sales. You are and always will be my number one go to market. Thank you Stop and Shop.

The Stop and Shop in New Milford, CT has gone steadily downhill. Each visit (which can be several times a week), there are one or two cashiers available. There are no baggers, no bags, naturally, without a fee and I often self check my own groceries, bring my own bags, bag my own groceries (each visit) yet pay very high prices here. Has anyone looked at the floor and carpet? When is it ever actually cleaned? I am done with the overinflated prices, lack of employees and produce that goes bad within a week's time. Prices consistently ring up wrong and l have been overcharged by as much as $6.00 for an item on sale. I have had to call customer service often due to being overcharged. Not once has there ever been an apology yet l am inconvenienced and often drive back to get the problem fixed. Done and will be shopping elsewhere after spending a tremendous amount of money here in the past 35 years.

Your employee Julie at store 509 assumed my home attendent lived in the same household and claimed she no longet was going to issue a raincheck to my home attendant. When I questioned this policy she laughed in my face, walked away and said to another employee; who I believe was a manager, that" this was the day customers were anoying her," Hilda appeared to laugh along with her. She dared me to notify coroprate, I filed a complaint with corporate.

This emoyee has numerous complaint about how rudely she treats employees and should receive letters of reprimand in her file!

I was screamed at by an employee when I asked for help at self checkout. The management of the store said the situation would be addressed but the employee is still there. I guess it's ok with Stop and Shop to have their employees yell at customers in a very threatening manner. The best thing people can do is never shop there
