Went to Hudson, Ma Stop & Shop. Tom, Produce Manager and Jeff, Meats department Manager both went above an beyond to help us by finding the Sea scallops that were listed in the Sales flyer. They both made up for the lack of assistance that the seafood Manger offered.
Thank you gentlemen - you are the reason we still shop there every week!
I shop at the Stop and Shop on Lakewood Dr in Toms River. They consistently have the most pathetic white potatoes for baking.
I don't want to be forced to go elsewhere.

I am not sure who in the Stop and Shop corp is responsible. But, for over 3 yrs I was getting delivery via Pea Pod. I was satisfied. Then SOMEONE for my area in Toms River,Nj decided to swich to Instacart.
Well, on 10/15, I had the absolute worst experience. Starting off with a delivery person who could not speak English, who piled the bags in front of the door so it could not be opened. Then, refusing to take the empty bags from a previous delivery like Peapod had done. The guy was rude and unprofessional. I refuse to have delivery from Instacart. I canceled my account with Peapod/Stop and Shop. Delivery service lost me a a customer. And Stop and Shop who I have done business with since 2007 may have lost me to Shop Rite
Very, Very bad decision to go with Instacart.

Some of the employees that work at the union store is very rude and disrespectful especially in the department where you pick up your food and for that I will no longer be using the service.
My cashier put the wrong gift card through my order 4 times. Argued with me about it and scoffed at me loudly when I moved my groceries back on the belt so they were not close to the person's in front of me. She put in the wrong amount for the cash payment and argued with my daughter and I that she did not. She counted the 20 dollar bills at 10 dollar bills. She could not fix the problems without help. We talked to Jeff, the store manager and he was even more rude than his cashier. He told us we got what we wanted and walked away, turning his back to us! No apology, no have a good day, no Merry Christmas! I have lived on Cape for 30 years and I have never been treated like this before.
The Stop & Shop in Whiting NJ is the only show in town. They really rip off Senior Citizens with their games. They play the shortage empty shelf games for high prices. They put items around same brand on sale. Except the middle ones. Half & Half is $1.00 more than other places. It the store on the senior bus route some depend on. Lot of the merchandise is at or near past date. Shame on them taking advantage of Grandma and Gramdpa.
I have been trying 3 days to place an online order at stop & shop. Nothing but problems. I think I'm going to start shopping somewhere else! I even called the 1-800 number and the automated voice said they were having problems and they were fixing it. That was 3 days ago!

Stop & Shop claims to be open for seniors at 6 a.m. instead I pull up at 6:30 many mornings to see seniors lined up outside waiting for managers to open. With it
being January now it is very cold, I think this is horrendous

I've ordered online 8 times from Stop and Shop. I've never had a problem. My fruits and vegetables are always a good choice from the "shopper ". My meat is also very good. I have no complaints. Delivery driver's have also been helpful. I don't find the prices to different. Any grocery delivery service is going to be a bit more I suspect. For me and my husband it's a blessing since Covid as we both have a difficult time carrying in the heavy items such as water, we drink a lot of it. Also, there are coupons on the app I always use.

I have always gone to stop&shop my whole life. I hate the new deal signs! Many things I picked thinking they were on sale just to find out at checkout that I needed a "digital coupon" I will not continue shopping here if it stays this way. Half the stuff I wouldn't have picked out of I knew I needed a coupon to get this price! I feel like they are trying to trick us and getting away with it a lot of time!
We have been using online home delivery for years
Now they have away with their own trucks and drivers
They use Instacart now
The worst experience ever. Late Deliveries, Long waiting time to find out where your order is and when will it be delivered
Unrefrigerated delivery out of someone's back seat or car trunk
Poor customer service. I think they closed their warehouse and are shopping at the nearest store
And if an Instacart driver is not available your food sits for hours until they find a driver
One order at a time. Not a truck full of orders
We wil never shop there again. Customer service says their getting a lot of complainants
I've been a customer for a long time, the reason I'm leaving is declining quality. My last two deliveries included frozen items that at some point were allowed to defrost and some time later were re frozen. On of the items has made me sick for over 2 weeks. They were containers of frozen concentrate. The other were frozen Pillsbury biscuits and chicken breast. They originally started shopping off store shelves then they got to busy for that stopped. Then they moved the home delivery to new locations here's what I believe is the issue for the amount of the deliveries to the distribution center they lack the amount of refrigeration space needed. So many products that say keep frozen they just don't have the space. The last part is speculation. Anyway it was a good run good luck.
I have been shopping at this store for many years, but in the last few months have been very disappointed. On 6/18 I did my weekly shopping only to find brown onions very few bananas, terrible corn on the cob, rotting peaches. Many of the shelves were bare and the meats were terrible, some of them gray in color. I will not be shopping at this store again.
Last night I went online to stop n shop for pickup at store. When done the subtotal was $388.54 then add the pickup fee of $3.95 all's good I don't mind the pickup fee. Okay so I decided instead of pickup I would have it all delivered. Well was I surprised when the subtotal increased to $424.10! $35.56 difference!
So the mark up most everything from.50 to $4 depending on the item then they also charge a higher fee for delivery and then make it clear that you should tip the driver. That's fine the driver should get a tip and the $6.95 delivery fee is fine but to turn around and increase prices is just not okay with me. They should be more transparent with their pricing not hiding it in every line item!
I went to stop&shop yesterday and a pack of chicken wings was $23 the chicken thighs were $18 and that wasn't even the Purdue chicken it's elderly people in our community with fixed income that rely on them and this is how they show gratitude by over pricing our food. They also sell franks and cupcakes over priced in the entrance of the store and had no candy to give the kids on Halloween.
I spend a lot of money in the store,I also play the numbers which is where my complaint is,about a year ago I had a very bad experience,the women behind the counter short changed me and I inform her that she did I had to get the manager (who didn't introduced himself to me) but anyway I got the money owed to me every since then when I go to play the numbers when these women (they don't act like women) but anyway when go to play the if they see me approaching the area to play the numbers they will put up the closed sign (and be laughing about what the just have done) I'm just fed up. I look for a manager but to no avail. That day I had to go to a gas station to play the numbers which was out of my way. I don't cause any problems in the store but it's now coming to the point I'm angry and disappointed that stop and shop have personal acting like this.im really upset this has been going on for a long time.
When I first started7 years ago with pea pod,it was great I loved it, then it became stop and shop.It still was good.Now its horrible, website sometimes is screwed up. Now they go through instacart,and they are bad news.Not as good getting your order right.bc they dont care they work for themselves.They know they will never see you again.and instcart charges a service fee on top of the delivery fee...and its only going to get worse.,I was on the phone over an hour trying to fix the website with customer care.I give up with stop and shop
I love your store, but you sell Sally Sherman foods salads, they are way too salty, they have crap ingredients and overall suck, and heir customer service is terible, they are rude and hang up on you. Isn't there a better option?
I quietly shared my concerns with the management over a period of two months regarding the degrading customer service at the Clinton, CT, Stop and Shop but it apparently fell on deaf ears. After today, I will never enter ANY Stop and Shop for as long as I live. Rude, Discourteous, Untrained is a start to describing the abject failure and lack of the customer service skills for which your employees possess. Today, when the bagger put the spaghetti sauce on top of the bread, shoved the eggs in a bag of jars that were rolling around and included fruit in the bag with raw meet, I reached in the cart and began moving items around. The older woman bagging leaned over the cart and glared at me. When I asked her to excuse me so that I could continue, she leaned in more, and continued to glare. The gas points are no longer worth the aggravation. I'm all done!
Answer: I can't answer this, but I can affirm it. Stop and Shop is the worst (by far) online delivery service you can use. They delivered a high-price grocery order to me, with a lot of the groceries clearly left outside in a strong rainstorm--which ruined lots of stuff. The company offered an $18,67 credit to make up for this, far less than the value of what they ruined,. I'm shifting to Whole Foods delivery through Amazon,. Note that they're *cheaper* than Stop and Shop. They don't have the profound inventory problems that Stop and Shop can't seem to figure out, and they don't leave your order sitting outside in the elements. On top of that, they have a much, much greater variety of foods,
