I have tested the Acadia spring water with a TDS meter and the result was that I got a reading of 250.! When it suppose to be less than 10 TDS on any so-called Spring Water of any brand. A reading of 100 or more indicates that it is untreated or tap water.

Are you guys going out of business? Used to be my go but now the prices are outrageous and the products suck. The meat and produce department has the worst selection I've ever seen. Gray chicken have you ever seen gray chicken? Wilted brocolli spotted bananas, overpriced bread. In the ******* area don't bother stay away.

Price variance

Last night I went online to stop n shop for pickup at store. When done the subtotal was $388.54 then add the pickup fee of $3.95 all's good I don't mind the pickup fee. Okay so I decided instead of pickup I would have it all delivered. Well was I surprised when the subtotal increased to $424.10! $35.56 difference!
So the mark up most everything from.50 to $4 depending on the item then they also charge a higher fee for delivery and then make it clear that you should tip the driver. That's fine the driver should get a tip and the $6.95 delivery fee is fine but to turn around and increase prices is just not okay with me. They should be more transparent with their pricing not hiding it in every line item!

Stop and shop is price hiking at a time when food is already at a ridiculous price there meat selection is the worst never have enough help to satisfy the customers self checkout machines are very bad now they charge you for paper bags that rip everytime you transport the groceries will never go back market basket is your best bet

I wanted to acknowledge the Stop and Shop Florist in the Old Saybrook store. Cynthia spent time with me to and discussed what I needed to bring the appropriate flowers to decorate a mantle in the Norwich Inn and Spa's Cottage where my niece's Bridal shower was going to be held. Cynthia and I spoke the day before the shower and arranged for the flowers we discussed to be ready for me on Sunday to take a look at. She had everything ready as well all of the colors we discussed. On Sunday we agreed on the flowers and she provided me with a selection as well as the bucket to transport the flowers into for the shower that afternoon.The mantle agreement came out amazing and my niece was thrilled.The Norwich Inn and Spa banquet manager was impressed and took several pictures to show potential clients what can be done in the room.--

I have been using Stop and Shop less and less. Today may have been my last visit. I have been using Stop and Shop primarily because their locations have been convenient. I have been going elsewhere more because their prices are high, on too many occasions items I wanted were out of stock and fresh foods, such as meat, had premium prices but were of mediocre quality at best. I stopped in a local Stop and Shop yesterday for four items. When checking out, the cashier, a young man - likely a high school student - was much more interested in talking to another employee than paying attention to his work. He failed to notice he was combining my order with the person's ahead of me, despite a divider placed between the orders. I blame the cashier much less than the store's management for not properly training and supervising him. After ringing up my small order, the cashier voided the sale, saying he forgot to add $0.10 to the bill for the bag. Nowhere in the store was there any notice of a charge for paper bags. Stop and Shop uses the flimsiest, cheapest bags of any store I know of. Adding a charge for the bags to their already high prices was the last straw. While not quite as convenient to get to, there are other stores which will be getting my business from now on.

I love going to Stop & Shop and over paying for everything! Ex. 4 blueberry muffins. $8.49!
When I over pay for everything I feel like a privileged snob and it gives me a rush.
I could go to Aldi's and pay 30% less but what's the fun in that?

I quietly shared my concerns with the management over a period of two months regarding the degrading customer service at the Clinton, CT, Stop and Shop but it apparently fell on deaf ears. After today, I will never enter ANY Stop and Shop for as long as I live. Rude, Discourteous, Untrained is a start to describing the abject failure and lack of the customer service skills for which your employees possess. Today, when the bagger put the spaghetti sauce on top of the bread, shoved the eggs in a bag of jars that were rolling around and included fruit in the bag with raw meet, I reached in the cart and began moving items around. The older woman bagging leaned over the cart and glared at me. When I asked her to excuse me so that I could continue, she leaned in more, and continued to glare. The gas points are no longer worth the aggravation. I'm all done!

Clicked on one star because zero was not an option. During the entire process of ordering and scheduling contactless delivery, there was nothing to alert me that I needed to be home to accept delivery. Instructions were to leave order on front stoop. I knew I'd be home before or shortly after delivery and the groceries would be fine until I could get home to put them away. The driver tried once to call me, then left and my order was canceled. Completely unacceptable! Had I known I would have scheduled differently. Very poor, Stop and Shop.

Customer service

The customer service at the fall river rodman street store is completely horrible. It was the manager Melissa who decided to talk to me like I was an imbecile after they shorted me $10 from the drawer. I had to wait and be criticized because of something someone else said, either way you look at it they shouldn't be talking to customers the way she was talking to me. Of course all her little work buddies are saying she didn't say anything bad but she told me to shut up and that now she was letting another guy go through the line and get his order done before she even fixed mine. She did that on purpose in spite. Her exact words were okay you want to talk to me like that then I'm gonna take this guy now and you can wait even longer. It all started because I was told to go to customer service to get the money back with my receipt. When she took my receipt I thought she was helping me so I started talking and she told me you need to wait you're turn and be quiet there's someone here. Mind you there's already another woman at the same customer service desk. I guess it takes 2 people that work in customer service to you cashout a soda for a coworker. It's just complete in other disregard for customers. That's how I look at it and when I can talk to someone I'm gonna try to straighten this out.

Here's what you are going to find when you access Stop and Shop's Peapod delivery service:

1. They are constantly out of inventory for some of their most desirable products.
2,. I placed a large order with them for last week. The food that got delivered was soaked, having obviously been left outside in the major rainstorms we had the other day. Stop and Shop has offered $18.67 to replace the large amount of food that they ruined by doing this.
3. You should know that if you go to amazon.com you can order from Whole Foods: They don't have the profound inventory problems that Stop and Shop has, and they won't deliver ruined groceries.

In other words, if you order with Stop and Shop you're taking a big chance with your money,. I'm not making that mistake again, and I suggest that you don't, either

Stop & Shop ROBBERS ROBBERS

Stop & Shop.Complete ROBBERS when it comes to regular over-the-counter meds & med preparations.

Do yourself a BIG FAVOR and Google your pricing at some place like Walmart first, before buying name brand health related items at Stop & Shop.

Stop & Shop knows that many of us may be disadvantaged & unable to travel around as easy as others.

AS SUCH, Stop & Shop will suck you dry for what ever pricing the market will bare.to entice you to 'pick it up' in their store
(& not travel elsewhere) for fair pricing.

A sad comentary as to where we've come.

Horrible Service

My overall feeling about shopping at the Franklin, MA Stop and Shop is that I'm paying more than I pay at Market Basket and I'm doing all the work! I have stopped shopping at this store for my weekly groceries but occasionally I go there for a few items purely out of convenience. Every time I do this I'm reminded about why I stopped shopping there. I am forced to go to self checkout bc there are never more than a few lanes open with cashiers working. Inevitably, the self checkout has a problem and I end up waiting for an employee to come over and help. Given the cursing that I hear from the other shoppers around me I know this frustration is widespread. The paper bags that Stop and Shop uses are horrible! I cannot put more than 2 moderately heavy items in one bag bc it is sure to rip. Stop and Shops business model is horrible and anything but customer friendly. Why anyone would continue to shop there is a mystery. Going one more exit to Market Basket where the prices are amazing AND every lane has a cashier and bagger is well worth it, even for one item.

My son is a very honest person.Management fired him while going up to the cash register to pay for a soda.This is disgusting considering the circumstances and how good a worker my son is and diligent.Shame on you stop and shop with your heartless attitude.

Digital coupons

Stop And Shop prices are not competitive with other local stores, but we enjoy the friendly staff and the overall layout and appearance of the store, so we shop there. However, these digital coupons are just wrong. By the way, I am in my 70s and I am tech savvy, and still working so my time is precious; to spend it having to go through each coupon, (should be a clip all choice) is extremely time consuming. Further, you can't do it the same day you're going to shop because they don't activate right away, so this eliminates being able to stop at the spur of the moment or for some needed last minute items.
A loyalty card should be all that is required for the discount.
As everyone knows, grocery prices have risen substantially recently, and therefore we will regretfully have to give up shopping at Stop and Shop in favor of a more competitively priced store before any digital coupons.

Lack luster store

Recently I had the opportunity to go to a family run super market that was a favorite of ours before we moved. The produce was stacked high, fresh, and the cases were beautifully clean. The meat, fish, and cheese departments were spotless, lots of staffing to get the orders done, and every register 12 of them staffed with young professionally and polite and well versed petsonel, along with smiling young baggers who were taught how to bag properly so the eggs and bread make it home without damage. Now… I'm back to shopping at my stop and shop today. Dirty produce cases half empty, wilted ends on parsley, cilantro, and spaces where no one bothered to fill the trays. Fish department looked sad with again empty spots, and fish that looked like you really don't want any. Prices by the way were 20 to 50 percent higher than at the store I shopped two days before, you know, the nicer store! Every week items are raised a $1.00. What's with that? Fuel has been going down, don't use the "trucking costs" excuse! Stop and Shop at least on Cape Cod needs competition! At Thanksgiving the week before the holiday Turkeys we're 1.29 lb. The week of Thanksgiving the same Turkey brand was $.29 cents! That make you feel glad you shopped early, right? Eggs were $ 2.69 for 18, now $ 9.89 At the " family owned" store 18 eggs-$ 4.69! Bacon-$4.99 lb. Butter$ 2.89 check out S&S prices! Then comes check out. Two registers open, a line of people waiting.
Bottom line- It's a rip off experience!

I ordered some flowers as a gift for a friend and was pleased with the communication with the delivery driver throughout the process. Thank you to Brian for updating me on package delivery time and to Kevin for staying dedicated to the delivery, even though it was an hour past. It was great customer service & made at least 2 people happy.

The reason why I didn't give all 5 stars didn't have to do with the delivery driver or customer service rep themselves.

One of the items was out of stock. I believed through the website, before placing the order, that the Floral bouquet would get replaced by a similar bouquet. I'm certain a customer call will be able to help figure out and send one out or offer a credit.
