The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with some customers praising the quality and authenticity of products, as well as competitive pricing. However, a significant number of reviews highlight severe issues with customer service, including difficulties with returns, product authenticity disputes, and inadequate support during order discrepancies. Complaints regarding shipping delays and the handling of defective or incorrect items are prevalent, suggesting systemic operational flaws. Overall, while there are positive experiences, the negative feedback indicates a pressing need for improved customer service practices and quality control measures to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Hi,
I've had two major issues with StockX, one being the product ID doesn't match the shoe. I couldn't get anyone on the phone or a reply in an email. Very difficult to find a live person… I was trying to purchase a woman's shoe, the shoe size was womens but the product ID was for the male shoe. As you can imagine, a males shoe size would not fit.
Also, I've made two other purchases that were ultimately refunded (at the "buy now" price) after the seller never shipped! Why is this site so inconsistent? It's very bizarre and I no longer take anything on this site seriously.
Just received a pair of shoes which did not fit, they will not exchange them. Very disappointed with this service.
We are disheartened to hear that the sizing on your recent purchase is not satisfactory. It is not our intention to make your experience difficult. As StockX is the middleman for buyers and sellers alike, we do not hold any inventory and can not offer returns or exchanges. We would be happy to assist with any questions about listing your item back on the platform and potentially turning a profit. Please reach out to StockX.com/contact for further support.
Awful experience Stay away from this company they will not allow you to return a show or cancel orders there has to be a law that protects you the consumer be very mindful of that
Hey Ramon. We are sorry to hear about this! Please note that due to the anonymous nature of our live marketplace, we are unable to offer returns, exchanges, or swaps of any kind. As we are not a regular retail store, we do not hold any inventory. Sellers send their items to our facility & we fulfill the buyer’s order once the verification process has been completed. We do always recommend reselling your item if you no longer wish to keep it. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing you & hope you understand! If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at stockx.com/contact & our support team will be happy to help!
Need I say more? I mistakenly ordered the wrong size. Yes my fault. BUT MISTAKES HAPPEN! There is NO RETURN policy with stockX. StockX's solution is to just relist the unwanted pair back on their platform. Problem solved, more money for stockX, more hassles for the buyer. Lesson learned. EBay is cheaper and easier than stockX... Ohh and they have a return policy too, wild concept.
Hello James, We are very sorry that an issue occurred with your item. Due to StockX being a live marketplace we are unable to alter or cancel a bid once an order has been confirmed. We also do not accept returns or exchanges. We understand this is not the ideal situation but that is what’s great about our platform, this gives you the chance to experience both sides of StockX which is buying and selling. If they are in the same condition that you receive them in, reselling them on StockX is really the best course of action.
Received clearly flawed and damaged item. Reached out to customer service who said it passes retail standard. I confirmed with a local retailer that they would not put the product on the shelves with this visible damage. Threading coming out in multiple places, dents in multiple places. For paying hundreds of dollars, this is not acceptable nor is the company's response. Will not be utilizing their services again.
We're sorry to hear that you believed the item that you received isn't authentic. Prior to shipping items to you, we verify them in person with our industry experts. We do not have control over the manufacturer's production standards and must work with products that they have cleared for release. Glue, stitching, and slight paint variances are common in all mass-produced shoes. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you understand. You can always reach out to stockx.com/contact if you have any questions regarding this.
My son who is now deceased used to get a lot of his shoes from stocks so I recently purchased a pair or retro 5 raging bulls size 3.5 (GS)2021 for his son(my grandson)
I got them in a few days BUT
The sneakers were different colors and one looked a bit dingy and worn and the suede is rougher on the used looking one.
I was very unhappy so I did email them and sent all of their required pictures like below and they opened a claim
Their response was bs IMO
******This was in their response
"They have informed me that the issue you are referring to has been a consistent manufacturing variance throughout its production. They took a look at your photos, and see that this item would be acceptable per our deadstock conditions and from the retail shop or manufacturer. "******
Im sorry but I'll show you the pics of how I got them
And see what you think.
I do not think this is acceptable as retail or the manufacturer like they said
If I thought I would be getting mismatched sneakers I would have NEVER ordered them.
Their trying to make it ok wasThis ….
"we, unfortunately, do not have control over the manufacturer's production standards and must work with products that they have cleared for release. Because of this, I can provide you with a $30-off discount code for your next purchase with us or a $20 partial refund for this purchase. You may also relist this item for sale on our platform if you would not like to keep the item.
I won't be ordering from them again, and will either buy retail or use goat.
These cost 134 shipped
Who would pay that for mismatched shoes.
I know if it was a retail store they would probably have sent them back to the manufacturer and I don't think the manufacturer would have even shipped this pair out like this
IIs this normal?
Imo NO they the colors should match and the suede shouldnt be rough like that on one and smooth on the other one
Hey Michelle. We are sorry to hear about your loss & your experience with StockX. While we understand your concerns, we can assure you that prior to shipping the item to the buyer, we verify it in person with our authentication experts who inspect each item to ensure that it meets our deadstock condition standards. Glue, stitching, & slight paint variances are common in all mass-produced shoes. We apologize for any inconvenience & hope you understand. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at stockx.com/contact & our support team will be happy to assist.
That was my first and probably the last experience with StockX.
Order **************.
When I opened the box I noticed an extraordinary amount of glue on the right shoe. The left shoe had StockX and Nike labels, while the right one did not.
I thought about contacting support about the lousy quality of the right shoe. But after reading about the company's support experience, I realized that it is not likely that my concern will be addressed. So I figured that I can go with those glue stains even though they were way too bad for a factory defect. So even though I had a suspicion that one of the shoes was fake, I kept them.
I removed the tags. After I had worn shoes once for an hour, my suspicions that one shoe is fake got solid. There was disproportionate leather wear on the right shoe. After one walk it was too much. So now I am confident that StockX sent me the original left shoe and the counterfeit right one.
I feel that this company will not help me with this situation for a couple of reasons. One, is I got to shoes one week after they were delivered. I was out of the house for a spring break, but StockX does not care since they leave only three business days for concerns. Two, I removed the StockX tag. It does not change the situation at all since the tag was only attached to the left shoe, which I have no concerns about. Three, their reputation for resolving issues suffers.
I will probably never wear these shoes. I am disappointed that I have wasted $200 on something that does not meet not my expectations but fundamental integrity.
I contacted support about this but do not expect my issue to be resolved. I have a friend running the sneaker youtube channel. I will get to him with this story if StockX does not provide an adequate solution by the end of the week. I am sure that people deserve to know how this company runs the business.
Hey Max! We're sorry to hear that you believed the item that you received isn't authentic. Prior to shipping items to you, we verify them in person with our industry experts. While we don't offer exchanges, refunds, or swaps due to the nature of the live marketplace, we are certainly happy to take another look at any item. However, in order to be eligible for a return, the StockX verification tag must be attached to your item so our authentication team can confirm your item was purchased from StockX directly. After looking further into this, we do not see any cases open under the email address that your order is associated with. Please contact us at stockx.com/contact under the email attached to your order & our support team will be happy to look into this further. Thanks for your patience & understanding!
These guys have so many glitches in their Australian service, then when you can't get it shipped due to glitches, the customer service is in American time-zones, is slow and doesn't respond to your actual question effectively so you run out of time. Then when you step it out and explain to them your problems what you've done etc they give you generic messages back not actually addressing what you ask. Terrible app in Australia.
What happened: Shipping label generated without a label, you get 2 days to ship. I contacted them and they responded 2 days later, sent the label and extended my shipping for 2 days. I shipped it on the morning of the 2nd day. I get a cancellation email 6 hours before my "time was up" item was already shipped. I assume they are operating on American Timezone not Australian. I've contact their support and round and round in circles we go "you didn't ship in 2 days" generic responses even when I set out a timeline and explain all events and refer them to prior tickets with my extension. My last desperate attempt 10 days later, you guessed it, ignored everything I said "you didn't ship in 2 days"… they have crazy glitches and are built for America, their support is also based there and operate on their time zones. Absolute thieves.
Thank you for your review, Andrew. We are disheartened to hear that you have not had a satisfactory experience with your recent sale. It is not our intention to make your sale difficult. We understand that the system may have canceled your sale. We are unable to look into this for you without further information pertaining to your order and account. After the original shipment deadline, the buyer is able to back out of their purchase as the promised timeframe for their entire purchase has now been pushed back. We do apologize for any inconvenience. If you find that you were charged a penalty in accordance with our cancelation policy, please reach out to StockX.com/contact to inquire into a 1-time accommodation. We would be happy to look into what can be done. We will also be able to provide an update on the return of your item.
Purchased shoes from this scam of a website. The shoes were listed as new. I received the shoes a week later. When I received the shoes they had several flaws, imperfections, and worn damage. I contact the company for a resolution and provided several photos. I received a response from the company agreeing that the shoes did not meet their standards yet they refused to accept my return and refund my money. They instead told me to resell the damaged shoes on their platform. This is scam like business practices as they would get paid for both the initial sell and resell of the damaged item and another customer would then be stuck with the damaged shoes. I would loose out because I have spent money on shipping and the initial price of the shoes in addition to being stuck with damaged shoes that don't even meet the company that sold the shoes standards. This is the worse experience I have ever had buying online. I have reported them to my bank as fraudulent because I did not receive what I initially paid for. I will be posting a complaint on all social media and will never sell nor buy anything from this scam of a business. They sell products that don't even meet their own standards and leave the customer stuck with a damaged product.
I left a review of my experience on TrustPilot and StockX took no time in reminding me that since I filed a complaint, I would be banned from their website. Which is hilarious because why would I ever shop there again? Then lied and said they couldn't find my purchase when I submitted a complaint with the Better Business Borough, so I had to provide proof of purchase. THE WORSE COMPANY EVER.
Thank you for your review and for alerting us of your experience Sierra. We are disheartened to hear that you are not completely satisfied with your recent purchase of the Jordans. As stated in your case with support, your photos were reviewed by our specialists and you were notified that your item was confirmed that this item did in fact meet our deadstock standards and there is room for common manufacturing variances. Your item was observed by several trained professional authenticators. We are sorry that your experience led to you filing a dispute with your bank for this purchase. It was not our intention to make your experience difficult. If you change your mind and wish to sell your item on our platform, please visit the helpful FAQ article that we have provided for you here. https://stockx.com/help/articles/How-do-I-sell-on-StockX.
I have been a customer of StockX for a while now, and I recently purchased some off-white shoes. The shoes I received where damaged, full of glue residue, logo damaged. I reached out to customer service thinking east simple return. I purchased $400 shoes, I received a damaged product, easy return like in any other company. To my surprise they are telling me that is passable to their standards that they can't provide a refund.
I am in shock and disbelief that in 2022 you buy a product get a damaged one, and they won't refund you.
Hi Sergio, We are sorry to see you are not happy with your recent purchase. Prior to shipping items to you, we verify them in person with our industry experts. Due to being a live marketplace and not a regular retail store some items will pass verification despite having defects. We do not have control over the manufacturer's production standards and must work with products that they have cleared for release. Glue, stitching, and slight paint variances are common in all mass-produced shoes. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you understand. With that being said, we are certainly happy to take another look at any item. It is never our intent to upset you or make your user experience difficult. Please contact our support team via live chat or stockx.com/contact with any further questions and/or concerns you may have, we are always happy to help. Thank you!
Horrible "real" fake shoes as in from a distance they look real and good but not worth the money of real ones if they are fake. Also ordered yeezy shoes and received a freaking hoodie instead thats not even my size. Very upset and they dont even have a customer service line only stupid live chat which doesn't help anything! Utterly ridiculous and shouldn't be as popular as it is, waste of money.
Hey Jayde, We are very sorry to hear this. Please reach out to our support team via stockx.com/contact, providing pictures of your concerns and of the QR tag still attached and they will be happy to look further into this. Thank you.
I bought shoes listed as new but received damaged shoes. I contacted Stockx and sent all photos. Stockx agreed the shoes didn't even meet their standards but refused to allow me to return and refused to issue a refund. Instead they told me to resell on their platform so that they could get paid again and another customer would be stuck with damaged shoes. BUYER BEWARE!
Hello Sierra, We are very sorry to hear this. Please reach out to our support team via stockx.com/contact, providing pictures of your concerns and of the QR tag still attached and they will be happy to take a second look at this item. Thank you.
I ordered a pair of Yeezys and about 4 days after ordering stock x said "we have encountered an issue with your seller but we have rematches it with a new on with no extra cost." I was like ok whatever and then a few days later it refunded my shoes and I'm now not going to get them before the trip I was planning on going on. Thanks a lot stock x.
I would not recommend ordering luxury handbags from this company. I made the mistake of ordering a handbag from StockX instead of spending a few extra hundred dollars to get it from the store. I did receive the bag and it did look like it was in new condition and authentic. However, the bag was supposed to have the pochette and that was not included. The advertisement shows the pochette and there is no mention that it would not be included. I have a very difficult time contacting Stockx in regards to this issue. I relied heavily on reviews of this company before I made the purchase. While the reviews were pretty good, they weren't really specific to the handbags. This company has more of a focus on sneakers/shoes. I think the handbag area may be fairly new. They need to improve in a lot of areas if they want to continue to be a seller of luxury handbags. The following are concerns I have with the company and reasons to suggest you consider not using them:
-no phone number to contact anyone with questions or concerns. They have an email option, but that makes it very difficult when/if you have an issue
-they don't show you pictures of the actual bag you will receive. It is a picture they pull from somewhere online.
-description for item is very vague and doesn't necessarily let you know what is/isn't included.
-I'm not sure how knowledgeable the authenticators of the handbags are as they authenticated my handbag without the pochette.
-the prices aren't necessarily cheap or cheap enough to risk purchasing from an outside company rather then going to the brand name store. In my case I could have spent 400.00 more and wouldn't have had to question authenticity or deal with the back and forth on the missing pochette. Wasn't worth it.
Bought a gucci watch on StockX which ended up being a fake. Came with no proof of authenticity from Gucci. Customer service refused to help me. Money down the drain. Do not buy from them!
They told me 7-12 business days depending how long (the seller takes) which wasn't long. The seller shipped the item immediately same day if not the next day. I've been waiting for my item for almost a whole month which is kind of ridiculous especially if you paid 800$ Makes me think I had a better choice by just going into the store and paying the extra few bucks. This is not worth the hassle at all. At this point I just want a refund. I do not recommend buying from here at all.
I bought a pair of Jordan Retro 3 Fire Red (2007) and they began to peel within 2 weeks. I am very disappointed and will not use them again.
The site is not practical. I placed an order on a pair of Nike for my son, and it didn't give me a confirmation but took me back to the shoe listing, so I clicked on it again, same thing happened. I decided to go to my purchase history to check, turns out I ordered them twice! I tried emailing or find a contact anything, email, phone number, NOTHING! Apparently, this site accepts NO returns, NO cancellation and you CAN'T reach anyone to resolve the matter. Now I am stuck with 2 pairs of the same shoe and spent $300! BE CAREFUL ORDERING ON IT!
I sold 3 pairs of shoes at stock x on Jan 23,2022, till today they havent made any payment to me, they told me they sent the payment Jan 28,2022, When I called my bank never any incoming fund from stockx since Jan 28,2022 till today. When I asked them to send me the proof of the payment, it showed they didnt sent to my bank account but for someone else account, I told them I never had that account, how did transfer to different account under my name. And also on Jan 31,2022 i complaint to them why payment informatiom and shipping change to their recipient stock X GA (information based on shipping label from them),
So I get the email that the shoes were delivered but nothing came. I have a doorbell camera that sends notifications when anyone comes near the door. I got a email saying at 10:43am the package was delivered and nothing was there. Basically I got ripped off and robbed. Thanks stockX!
Answer: It's a scam, received fake shoes from them and they won't refund me.
Answer: Hi Norma, StockX currently does not offer phone support but we would be happy to help you via chat or email! Please contact us at stockx.com/contact with screenshots of the charges and we can get to the bottom of this for you.
Answer: Hi D. H, StockX is not a regular retail store. We are a live global anonymous marketplace. Buyers and sellers are located across the world as are our authentication centers. All purchases are coming from different sellers located in different areas globally and could be going to different authentication centers. Due to the anonymous nature of our live market, we are unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or swaps of any kind - including if you ordered the wrong size. The good news is you can always resell with us if you no longer want your item. However, in the event that a seller does not ship on time or fails verification we will always try to like the buyer to a new seller at no additional cost. If we are unable to do a full refund is processed. In the event that the buyer wishes to not be linked or if the seller is passed their ship-by date, they can request to cancel. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and that this purchase didn't go as planned. If you have any further questions please contact us at stockx.com/contact. Thank you!
Answer: Hi Alexa, StockX is not a regular retail store. We are a live global anonymous marketplace. Buyers and sellers are located across the world as are our authentication centers. All purchases are coming from different sellers located in different areas globally and could be going to different authentication centers. We give an estimate of 7-12 business days for all deliveries, however, this is subject to delays. We do not guarantee shipping information for any item until after and only if the item passes verification. While we work very hard to stay within our estimated timeframes, we can not guarantee a delivery date. In addition, we do not deliver our own packages, so we do not have any control over carrier delays and/or how fast an item passes through customs ( if needed). Answer: A: Hey Lienardo! That's a great question! StockX defines "Deadstock" as authentic, new, and unused. We do allow the original box to be slightly damaged, such as minor dents and rips. We do not allow boxes with major rips or tears. However, just like all products on our site, our dedicated verification team will thoroughly inspect each item to make sure it is authentic and meets the condition requirements. Please note our verification team does not break the factory seal during this process. If you have specific questions you would like answered, please reach out over this link, https://stockx.com/help/articles/How-do-I-contact-customer-service-and-when-can-I-expect-to-hear-back - or contact us using the live chat feature on the StockX homepage.
