I've been with State Farm for more than 6 six years. I have 6 rental properties, all under Statefarm. My mom, my brothers, my relatives, all bought home and business with State Farm. Everything was fine until one of my rental properties had issues, I filed a claim with State Farm. Not only it took forever for them to approve, they also tried to find all excuses not to pay you the loss of rent. I filed the claim in Feb, and until now which is more than 8 months. My rental property is still under repair. They refused to pay the loss of rent during this time. After this incident, I lost faith in State Farm. I tried to appeal with them and waiting for their response. I recommend that no one should purchase home insurance with State Farm and go thru the same things that I have suffering. This is the guy who is repsonsible for my claim below:

I would like to share my experience working for the" good neighbor" State Farm for almost 2 years. My manager, a new manager on a power trip, was abusive to me so I complained to upper management about his mistreatment, bullying and abusive behavior towards me.
I was aggressively retaliated against. The retaliation took many forms:
- I was given a low evaluation despite my good performance. The low evaluation caused me to lose 1/2 of my year end bonus.
- The company took back my new hire payment - 8 months later
- I was put under extreme levels of stress & pressure & was held back, singled out and given the highest number of phone calls in the whole team 128calls for me versus 20 calls for their favorites. The combination of high levels of stress & pressure and the excessive number of phone calls caused me to suffer sudden, severe and permanent hearing loss.
- The company continued its retaliation, disability discrimination and harassment against me to push me out
- The company would intentionally unleash its managers to constantly call me and harass me on Teams to answer the phones despite my hearing loss.
Each time I announced I was recording them, they would end the call
- I continued to do my job and process over 100 claims per day despite the toxic and unbearable work environment they have intentionally created for me to push me out
- Finally they fired me for not being able to answer the phones
- I was paid $19.75/H
- I was over used, abused and discarded by State Farm
State Farm is a HORRIBLE ins company. Please, if you are reading this trying to decide on an insurance agency, look elsewhere. I cannot even put into words how State Farm is not on your side when it comes to claims and still charges an outrageous amount for insurance each month.
My neighbor had a large tree limb crash thru her roof due to a storm. SF made her pay and arrange to get it removed herself. I have had two SF insured hit my car and they fight like a third rate company not to pay. Get some real insurance, like Allstate. WHY PAY STATE FARM? They won't pay when you need them!

My former agent is the most unprofessional agent I have ever dealt with. He mocked and laughed at me as though I should know the ins and outs of State Farm. I challenge him to deal with the work I do without stumbling a bit. He ridiculed me and, in fact, when I told him that he should not wonder why he's losing clients, his response was, "hahaha. I'm not concerned about that'". Shame on you State Farm. Shame on you for your unprofessional "customer service". The former agent, Jon Geddings was professional beyond measure. This new imposter has much to learn from his predecessor. I am so very upset to get laughed at by this guy. He needs to attend Charm School and learn some humility. I will NEVER do business with State Farm.
State Farm Insurance Agency has been serving the Campbell, CA community since 2008. It is our mission to provide extraordinary service and to provide you with the insurance and financial products that are specific to your individual needs.
Me and my husband are so disappointed with State Farm. Our car got hit by another car and they sent a towing service and they convinced us to let them take the car and put it in the tow yard and the next day they will send the car to the car repair shop. But its been 9 days and our car still in tow yard. The tow company unable to get the car back because the tow yard doesn't want to answer the call and the agent advised us to go there ourselves and pay off the balance, tow the car to the repair shop ourselves. So we have to do all the job to get it fix. Thanks so much for the "HELP" State Farm. Oh well, you just lose a costumer. Wont continue with the insurance with you guys. And wont recommend it to any of my family and friends.
They hurt me so much that they took all my savings from me until I met …(((ŚÚРŔĔМĔ ĂŚŚĔŤŚ ŔĔČŐVĔŔŶ.ŐŔĞ)) they helped me recover my losses, profits and capital
A woman who works at the Margy Gray office in Indiana, Pa ran into the drivers side of my car in a parking lot while I was not moving in May of 2022. She seemed very nice and said she misjudged the amount of space and said she'd report it when she got to work. THAT WAS FAR FROM THE TRUTH. From then on she has claimed that I pulled out in front of her. State Farm called only a few hours after speaking to me and said that after doing an "investigation" they have concluded that it was my fault. I then got surveillance video footage that clearly shows I was not moving and that she hit me and sent it to them but State Farm is refusing to acknowledge that it was her fault! The damage would have been on the other side of my car if I would have pulled out in front of her. It is now October and they somehow got my insurance information and went behind my back filing a claim through my insurance trying to get me to pay for her car repairs when mine hasn't been fixed. DO NOT TRUST THEM!
My 2020 Dodge Challenger was stolen in SF, CA. I went through the procedure of making the police report and call State Farm after to start a theft claim. State Farm helped out and got me started with a claim, ran through my policy, and got me a rental car. 2 days later, State Farm calls me up and says my claim has been transferred to a investigation specialist, Adrienne Roberts and discontinued paying for my rental car. Since being assigned this investigator Specialist, I've been treated like a criminal rather than a valued customer. This person asked me the same questions repeatedly implying that I was lying. She was insensitive about my hardship and caused me a tremendous amount of stress with multiple interviews, sending me a letter of a possible fraudulent claim. A third interview is to be scheduled where Adrienne Roberts said I will be under oath. Her manager is Bridgette Thomas who has allowed Adrienne Roberts to treat me like a customer without equal rights. My property in my vehicle was also stolen along with photos of my late parents and all I can think of is how State Farm with Adrienne Roberts and Bridgette Thomas is so focused of adding insult to injury by trying to dismiss my claim as fraudulent when EVERYTHING has been truthfully expressed from the beginning. Customers at State Farm are treated rudely and unfairly. This act of Adrienne Roberts is a perfect example of "Bad Faith" strategy and should be reported to The Department Of Insurance (California).
0 stars! Believe me if I did have give 1 star you wouldn't have gotten it! State Farm is full of crap! Their policy holder hit my daughter and admitted it on 2/07/2023 he actually said he hit my daughter. It took them about thirty minutes to take my daughter statement over the phone on 2/20/2023 I called today they said they hadn't gotten his statement yet, less then ten minutes later all of sudden they got it and saying he wasn't at fault so guess what they not paying! I got to pay though my insurance! The agent said I got to have more proof, what more proof you need when he said he did it and he told the police he did! He tried to keep her from getting over by speeding up and you can clearly see it in the photos that I uploaded to them but they can't find now! State Farm y'all got a bunch of BS going on!
The new Jake commercial is very offensive. He accepts pizza, wings, cookies and makes no effort to pay for the free merchandise. Code of Conduct violation. Terminate him!
This is one of the largest Ins comp in the world I Dislike State Farm's Have been waiting for the Discount since 2 years Agent change for almost 9 months Customer service are Amazing Liars They Lie and Lie will not recommend them to my Dog Sad sad sad lying Unprofessional People
I have two homes in two states, both insured by State Farm. Three years ago I filed a claim for hail damage. The State Farm adjuster said the roof was in good shape but the only damage found was eight roof vents were dented and needed replacement. The claim was approved for repair/replacement of the eight roof vents but since the cost to do so was under our deductible it's our responsibility and the claim was closed. Now, three years later we get hit by a terrible storm with 2-3 inch hail stones. This time the State Farm adjuster says "there's no hail damage, just normal wear and tear." What a ridiculous comment. My neighbors to the right, left, behind me and across the street, all had claims approved from non-State Farm Insurance companies. In fact my vehicle was sitting in my driveway and sustained over $6,000.00 in hail damage, which was approved by my non State Farm Insurance Company. My community has roughly 75 homes in it and the majority of them were damaged by the storm. My roofing contractor reported State Farm adjusters are trained to do whatever they can to deny legitimate claims. Currently his company is working with eight clients whose claims were denied, all of them State Farm customers. I have had to hire a public adjuster to intervene on my behalf. I have been faithfully paying my insurance premiums for over 31 years, never been late, never missed a payment, and these are the only two claims I've filed. I am sure State Farm shareholders are very happy raking in cash and increasing their profits by denying the legitimate claims of their customers. A good neighbor, State Farm is NOT.
I have a friend, he s a minimalist I guess you could say. The only thing in the world he owned was a work truck. It was stolen. He reported it to the police who told him to report it to his insurance. The moment he reported it stolen to sstate farm he was treated like a lieing criminal, even though he had been paying them for years without one single accident or traffic violation. He has no criminal record in 47 years of his life. Instead of trying to help him they are trying to harm him, plain and symple. Beware of this company, they are corporate sharks trying to feed off you.
After DECADES of getting our money, we had a completely legitimate claim for hail damage that THEY DRAGGED OUT FOR EIGHT MONTHS REFUSING TO PAY! When they finally were pushed into a corner and paid, we then received notice they were dropping us. Good riddance to bad trash.
1Year later home still damaged roof still leaking wall letting weather in after a car hit my home even though I have attorney I still sit and wait and watch the home I paid off just a year before fall apart, now they decided to cancel my insurance and of course I can't find insurance now because the roof leaking and other damage from the car hitting my home, so now waiting for the hurricane with my name on it to me off, wish me luck and please pray for me.
Answer: Scam. They are terrible. Will take money from you and not explain why My grandpa has been with State Farm insurance since the 1960's. We have had great service up until the last 6 years. Everyone has always told me they were shit and told me all bad things about them but I always stood up for them. Well I'm here to say that was a slap in the face. We have filed a total of 8 claims this whole 60 years he's been with them. 3 for car wrecks, 1 being our fault, 1 being both parties fault, and the other one being the other parties fault but they did not have insurance so State Farm had to cover it. Another claim was when my car got stolen. There's was $1500 of damage done to it when it was stolen. THEY SPENT $15,000 FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS BRINGING IN STATE FARM LAWYERS AND INVESTIGATORS TO TRY TO PROVE MY DAUGHTERS DAD AND I WERE LYING ABOUT IT GETTING STOLEN. MIND YOU IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ONLY $1500 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY TREATED US LIKE CRIMINALS AND RACIALLY PROFILED MY DAUGHTERS DAD, EVEN TRIED TO GET US PUT IN JAIL FOR FRAUD. BUT GUESS WHAT THEY COULDN'T BECAUSE WE DID NOT LIE, IT WAS NOT FRAUD, MY CAR REALLY GOT STOLLEN. They are ignorant and even belittled me so much it made me cry. WHICH INFURIATED my grandpa and he confronted our representative about it and he said "there's nothing I can do that's what they do to people" They have lied to us multiple times. They cancelled my road side assistance because I had 2 incidences "too close together" We pay by the 6 months. I pay for my cars I own and my grandpa pays for the other cars because we are on a family plan. Well last time it was due it was $800 each for my cars. It's usually $600 each. I thought it was a one time thing and I paid it. But then I got another bill for $800 for the 6 months for each car. So I asked my insurance representative why it went up $200. He said he didn't know and he couldn't figure out why. There was also nothing he could do about it. They also called us and told us we were late on an insurance payment (again we pay by the 6 months) but they called 5 months into this last payment (that was most definitely paid I have plenty of proof) and said we were late on that payment. Why would you just now be contacting us if we were 5 months late on a payment and we still have coverage. So she went back through her system and called us said that she was "wrong" that it popped up it is due next month and she thought that meant we missed a payment. Is she dumb or what? Then proceeded to tell us we were 2 car payments past due. Which isn't true. And how would she know if it had been true. We never have been late on a payment. We are actually 2 months ahead on every car payment we have. So I called the bank that gave us the loan for this car and they said they have not communicated with State Farm at all. That that would be illegal to do without our consent. That when someone calls about an account, they have to verify they are that person, and then everything that is discussed and done is written in the notes of that phone call and put with that account so they can go back and look for future reference and such. I know someone that recently stopped working for them and she said I quote "I will not work for a company that is dishonest, deceives, doesn't care about their clients, tries to screw them over, does NOT act in way insurance companies should or any company should, and treats people like criminals. We are here to help not to screw people over. But State Farm does just that. Their clients pay extremely high prices but cant use their insurance half the time because State Farm is trash and wants to fight every claim that's filed. I have morals and values and working for them makes me look bad. I can't believe the things they are doing to people and the way they are treating people. I WILL not work for a company that is more than greedy, takes advantage of people and manipulates people. I'm thinking about calling the Better Business Bureau and I encourage you all to as well!" I know for a fact (from another person I know that currently works there and is getting ready to quit because of that horrible things State Farm does) that they will do absolutely anything and add fake charges to people's bills just to get extra money. So with that being said STATE FARM THIS IS WHAT I HAVE TO SAY TO YOU FOR SCREWING ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS OVER (especially ones like my family that have been with you for 60 plus years) AND NOT DOING RIGHT BY US. SCREW YOU. I HOPE THE WHOLE COMPANY GOES OUT OF BUSINESS AND IT REALLY SHOWS WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE YALL ARE. **Remember when you said you would drop me if I filed a very very small claim WELL HERES ME DROPPING YOU HORRIBLE PEOPLE.
