They'll send you claim to an "investigator" if you've had another claim a few years ago. No questions asked.
The adjusters try to use manipulative tactics by bullying the customer. For instance, when I told her how I thought the theft occurred, she replied, "haha, really?" Yes, really. Annoying. It's quite obvious they're trained to make you feel like crap while you're the victim.
I would not recommend even for $5/mo.
What a joke! State Farm sneakily raised my bill this month by an extra $27.58!
I find it very convenient they tack on some senseless charge right before the SF Covid refunds/credits are supposed to be issued in June.
And yes, I already contacted my agent and waiting for their reply.
They are a greedy company.
Do not sign up with State Farm they are a fraud. This prick of an agent name Armando Avila is rude and does not do anything to help lower your insurance. Especially if you never been in an accident or receive any tickets. The individuals who work in the office are all scared of this incompetent fool. He teaches them to raise your deductibles. Exactly why he barely has customers.
I thier client reported a major crime them my fiduciary, refuses to report it.
They turn a blind eye to fraud, which mean they support it.
The criminals who committed the crime continue free to defrauded others.
Shame.on you state farm, your support fraud and aid and abet criminals. Turn your back on a loyal customer of ten plus years.
Definitely not a good neighbor.
I have been a State Farm customer for over 40 years. I am so unhappy with their lack of customer service, I am starting to look for another company. All my past agents have been very helpful answering questions and helping file claims. My new agent tells me they don't do that anymore, and that I need to call an 800 number. Been on the phone all day today trying to reach someone. After 20 minutes on hold, my call was picked up by someone who couldn't help, but she put me back into another 11+ minute wait until I finally hung up. I have been promised a call back for over 2 weeks now, and nothing. Time to hire a lawyer to force my own insurance company to do their job properly. That is NOT what customer service means. State Farm used to be the best, but now they are horrible.
I have been with state farm for years, I have witness then deteriorate from a good company to money grabbing greedy thugs. Loyalty, Customer Care means nothing to them anymore. I have seven policies with State Farm and I am in the process of dropping four. I tried to explain my concerns to Corporate and it got me no where.
June 1 2019 we went to new mexico for vacation and drove. On the way back we were driving on highway 70 just south of Vandalia Illinois really dark road tall trees line each side of road. Deer jump out from center medium and i run into deer called 911 to come out to look at damage and make report.
Called state farm agent Chad Graham office it was 4 am got connected with an agent over phone. They set up a car rental for wife to drive while hers is going to be looked at by insurance adjuster. Picked up rental car at 9 am from hertz that state farm deals with for their customers. Drove car to Rantoul Illinois with police report to get filled out. Helped me fill in information i needed and i explained what had happened on the diagram. Very helpful at state farm. I have been a state farm customer for 4 year now and my wife for 26 years. We are very happy we have State Farm Insurance.
My agent acted the same exact way. No help, no responses to why my insurance has gone up $1000 since I started using them in October 2022. No accidents, no tickets, so how can they keep getting away with this? They are a ripoff!
I called State Farms on a matter. I kept getting transferred from one person to another. After the third transfer, the person "helping" me was obviously not happy doing her job. Her tone of voice and words showed total disregard for my problem. At the end I asked to be transferred to her manager or anyone else which she avoided by placing and then telling me they couldn't help me.
A State Farm insured individual rear-ended my wife in our truck at full speed. Totaled our vehicle, and no doubt their fault (admitted by State Farm). This began an absolutely awful experience of us just trying to break even financially. Didn't happen. There was no way we could replace the vehicle for what they paid out, and their treatment of us was unforgivable. One customer service agent said we were indeed being short-changed and he could get us more money. He did! Less than 1% more. Insult to injury. The worst thing? Less than 8 hours after this violent accident my wife gets an email asking for her to sign a release from any liability in exchange for an insultingly low sum. "Get'em before the adrenaline wears off" must be their mantra. Absolutely the most awful, soulless POS company we've ever dealt with, and I was not shy about telling them so. Should have gone to court but just wanted STATE FARM OUT OF OUR LIVES.
I filed a theft/vandalism claim in July. They denied it, because they said that it was a legal matter. Of course it is. That's why I filed a police report. NY state dept of financial svcs, has done nothing, so i filed with the US AG, claiming theft, because taking money and not paying out claims, is theft. Even some recent Florida hurricane victims, have not been paid. Pitiful, pathetic company.
You'd think once you've entered the "key code" to identify the invoice you'd like to pay, their system could direct you to a "business name" log in. But no! I had to use the pay by phone method instead, and pay by credit card (only option.) You'd think they would rather avoid those Visa fees, but no, apparently not.
In an accident 5 weeks ago. Other driver was at fault he turned left in front of me at intersection, I hit him in front right fender, door and truck bed... why all that, he didn't stop. Car behind me was city Police and went after him. He is insured by State Farm. Took 5 days to have my car towed from Wrecker yard to body shop(by State Farm). Another week for State Farm to contact body shop. State Farm wants body shop to take pictures and send them in and... that was 3 weeks ago NOTHING from State Farm. I call them and am told I am in the cue to have someone look at the car. Was told it takes 3-5 days... 21 days ago!
A couple weeks after starting insurance with State Farm, I received a letter that my original insurance quote was incorrect and I needed to pay $311.31 more. I spoke to two agents and no one would explain the reason for the increase. I quickly jumped back to my previous insurance company which was cheaper than State Farm. What a complete waste of time.
These 800 bill pay people don't know how to work a computer or understand English. They screw up our accounts all the time. We all have our own accounts under one roof and they change my payment info whenever my kids call to make a payment.
They dropped me after 20 years because my house was vandalized and I made a claim. I can not believe I gave them money for all those years only to be dropped. Now all the new companies I apply for ask if I have made a claim in the last year. As soon as I say "yes" they say 'no thanks'. Thanks State Farm for kicking me right in the nuts. You guys suck!
Adjuster screens calls through voicemail and doesn't respond to my attorneys. Its a simple auto claim. I resent having to sue and if they don't respond, we'll have to go after the driver. So what good is it for him to spend on insurance if they hide when called upon. They're a terrible partner in driving. PS. This is going on for a year
Usually Chris Bruce is polite and respectful when I speak with him but that Michelle/Morgan or whatever name customer service rep is very rude and unprofessional. Not only was she using a rude tone with me like but she kept cutting me off and eventually hung up in my face! I have received poor customer service before but this tops it all, I've never felt so disrespected as an adult and even a human being when you're frustrated and confused and someone starts talking to you like you're nothing because after the holiday weekend (less than 10 days) you forgot to take a course. The link got lost in 20,000 emails, that does not mean I deserved to be ridiculed and cut off and a phone hung up in my face like I don't matter. When I respectfully asked her to stop being so rude and asked for Bruce her solution was to hang up in my face yet here I have been bragging on how great State Farm was. That lady has no respect.
My 30 day old car car was stolen and State Farm refused to cover repairs. They approved the installation of defective 'reconditioned rims' and would not approve the same repairs identified by three different repair facilities. Car is diagnosed as 'Unsafe to drive' and State Farm has refused to fix it or pay me for the totaled car. When I asked for them to approve another review and diagnostics of identified damage, they said 'we don't do that. That is how people commit fraud." Stay away
This company is a scam! Every time I call and ask when I can expect payment they say they will have to cancel payment and issue new checks and you can expect receipt in 7 to 10 days. This has been going on for five months now, never seen a check and doubt one has ever been written.
Answer: Scam. They are terrible. Will take money from you and not explain why My grandpa has been with State Farm insurance since the 1960's. We have had great service up until the last 6 years. Everyone has always told me they were shit and told me all bad things about them but I always stood up for them. Well I'm here to say that was a slap in the face. We have filed a total of 8 claims this whole 60 years he's been with them. 3 for car wrecks, 1 being our fault, 1 being both parties fault, and the other one being the other parties fault but they did not have insurance so State Farm had to cover it. Another claim was when my car got stolen. There's was $1500 of damage done to it when it was stolen. THEY SPENT $15,000 FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS BRINGING IN STATE FARM LAWYERS AND INVESTIGATORS TO TRY TO PROVE MY DAUGHTERS DAD AND I WERE LYING ABOUT IT GETTING STOLEN. MIND YOU IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ONLY $1500 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY TREATED US LIKE CRIMINALS AND RACIALLY PROFILED MY DAUGHTERS DAD, EVEN TRIED TO GET US PUT IN JAIL FOR FRAUD. BUT GUESS WHAT THEY COULDN'T BECAUSE WE DID NOT LIE, IT WAS NOT FRAUD, MY CAR REALLY GOT STOLLEN. They are ignorant and even belittled me so much it made me cry. WHICH INFURIATED my grandpa and he confronted our representative about it and he said "there's nothing I can do that's what they do to people" They have lied to us multiple times. They cancelled my road side assistance because I had 2 incidences "too close together" We pay by the 6 months. I pay for my cars I own and my grandpa pays for the other cars because we are on a family plan. Well last time it was due it was $800 each for my cars. It's usually $600 each. I thought it was a one time thing and I paid it. But then I got another bill for $800 for the 6 months for each car. So I asked my insurance representative why it went up $200. He said he didn't know and he couldn't figure out why. There was also nothing he could do about it. They also called us and told us we were late on an insurance payment (again we pay by the 6 months) but they called 5 months into this last payment (that was most definitely paid I have plenty of proof) and said we were late on that payment. Why would you just now be contacting us if we were 5 months late on a payment and we still have coverage. So she went back through her system and called us said that she was "wrong" that it popped up it is due next month and she thought that meant we missed a payment. Is she dumb or what? Then proceeded to tell us we were 2 car payments past due. Which isn't true. And how would she know if it had been true. We never have been late on a payment. We are actually 2 months ahead on every car payment we have. So I called the bank that gave us the loan for this car and they said they have not communicated with State Farm at all. That that would be illegal to do without our consent. That when someone calls about an account, they have to verify they are that person, and then everything that is discussed and done is written in the notes of that phone call and put with that account so they can go back and look for future reference and such. I know someone that recently stopped working for them and she said I quote "I will not work for a company that is dishonest, deceives, doesn't care about their clients, tries to screw them over, does NOT act in way insurance companies should or any company should, and treats people like criminals. We are here to help not to screw people over. But State Farm does just that. Their clients pay extremely high prices but cant use their insurance half the time because State Farm is trash and wants to fight every claim that's filed. I have morals and values and working for them makes me look bad. I can't believe the things they are doing to people and the way they are treating people. I WILL not work for a company that is more than greedy, takes advantage of people and manipulates people. I'm thinking about calling the Better Business Bureau and I encourage you all to as well!" I know for a fact (from another person I know that currently works there and is getting ready to quit because of that horrible things State Farm does) that they will do absolutely anything and add fake charges to people's bills just to get extra money. So with that being said STATE FARM THIS IS WHAT I HAVE TO SAY TO YOU FOR SCREWING ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS OVER (especially ones like my family that have been with you for 60 plus years) AND NOT DOING RIGHT BY US. SCREW YOU. I HOPE THE WHOLE COMPANY GOES OUT OF BUSINESS AND IT REALLY SHOWS WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE YALL ARE. **Remember when you said you would drop me if I filed a very very small claim WELL HERES ME DROPPING YOU HORRIBLE PEOPLE.
