Easy to send US-originated packages to Stackry, then consolidate them and have Stackry send them on to me in the UK. Often I am quoted $60 - $80 to ship a single book from a US company to the UK. In this shipment, I've sent four books to Stackry (about $6 to $10 each USPS) and sent them on to the UK for $79 combined - a worthwhile saving, although Stackry shipping costs have increased this year. Stackry packing quality has increased a lot this year - packages now very securely wrapped.
This package was sent on 27th October and received in the UK on 5th November.
The website makes it very easy to have things delivered and consolidated, then send them on to my address in the UK.
However the internal packaging used is a bit sparse - insufficient bubble wrap is used to stop things shifting inside the package - even though I paid extra for fragile items. The box really needs to be 'stuffed' so that things can't move.
Sometimes photos are taken of the package to show who's sent it - these are generally poor quality and it's not possible to make out small writing.
None of the packaging notes from the original senders were in my last shipment.
Repackaging took too long, which encourages me to avoid it next time
Easy to use, costs are very reasonable compared to other similar services I've used before, and I liked that I wasn't getting slugged with extra little fees like I have been before with some of their competitors.
