I purchased a pair of Karrimor waterproof hiking boots about six months ago (did not keep receipt) and just walking through wet grass my feet get soaked. I should have known better now that the original Karrimor, who made first class walking gear, have been taken over by SportsDirect; they always cheapen good names
Ordered a product on line for a birthday present and it arrived with a store security tag attached the magnetic pin type.
Tried to contact sports direct but its impossible to speak to them, all numbers you can dig up on the internet (none on their website) go to an automated system telling you they are busy and then disconnect you before it's possible to speak to anyone!
Took product back to my local store 15 miles away - set the alarm off then some spotty teenager who removed the tag actually chuckled - no suggestion of an apology and when I proposed a delivery refund as it's £5 that they charge, said it was not possible have to contact online - yeah right how!
Last time I will ever use this company - if you value any semblance of customer service look elsewhere this company does not care, it only wants your money then gives you the finger. Old school cowboys with a shopfront.
Sports direct I challenge you to respond and refund.

Have contacted CS (email option only) and have been advised they will contact the manufacturer.
Why contact manufacturer? Item is faulty and its either replace with a new one or a refund.
Have asked them for a replacement or refund and no reply since.
Waiting for 6 days now for a reply but nothing.

Will never ever again buy from this place - even if they are giving away things for a penny.
Avoid at all costs! Paid extra for next day delivery. Took over a week to deliver. Once delivered found item was wrong! Contacted CS on Twitter. Waste of time as they keep saying I had not sent DM when I had screenshot proof I did. Managed to find CS email and send complaint. Took days to reply for them to say they believe they had sent the correct item. Replied with proof of order confirmation and photos of item received vs order confirmation photos. They are not replying to my request for a refund. Stores will not accept returns/refunds from online purchase. Next stop is trading standards under Trade description act. I will never use this company ever again as they lie through their teeth.
Utterly incredulous with my interaction with this badly run company as far as any customer service is concerned. 15 days after paying for next day delivery on a £90 order I am still being lied to by a "virtual assistant" and have received neither my goods nor a refund. The courier has admitted to losing the order (evri and they are another story) last week and still no thing but standard term responses from SD. I will never use this company again.
Once they have your money these people could not care less. Wrong order arrives one shoes size 7 one shoe a size 9. No telephone number for them they have cut them all off! They ignore emails and live chat is absolutely useless. Pathetic joke of a company that will never get another penny from me! In any of its forms!
I've been ordering stuff from Sportsdirect.com for me and my entire family and only once there was a product missing and they refunded me right away.
I don't get it why some people hate them, sure, if you buy a 0.05 $ shirt it won't be of high quality, but I like even the 1$ Slazenger shirts! Good god it's 1$!

Ordered running shoes 3 weeks go with next day delivery, they still have not been delivered! Have been contacting *******@sportsdirect almost daily - the only response is that they are still investigating what happened. What a ridiculous response - does it really take 17 days to find out? Normal customer service would be to immediately resend? I have now been asking for refund, as have not received anything, they keep answering that they cannot do that as still investigating - i am now going through small claims court. Do NOT use them, they also own House of Fraser, Evans Cycles and Lillywhites - boycott them too. They are blatantly stealing your money with no intention to refund, I will definitely take it further.
Bought track pants for my son-the size he always wears. But they were too tight on the legs. I returned them but was told only a credit note could be issued. I can't take my son into the shop to try on the clothes for reasons I won't go into here. I have no need of any of their other products. They won't allow me buy a gift card with the credit note and I can't use it online. None of the information regarding returns is displayed in the shop. The practice is legal but so far from the norm that they should be informing customers of their policy before the purchase is first made. So basically they stole my money. Never shopping there again and will be telling everyone.
After 14 emails back and forth Sports direct still refuse to provide a simple partial refund to my credit card due to a website error (failed application of a 20% discount code). For some reason the discount did not appear in the final transaction. It worked fine for my previous two orders, and yes the coupon was still active. All I get are vague responses about not being able to amend or cancel orders (not what! Asked for), and finally they tell me that if I want to make a complaint, it has to be in writing and posted to a physical address! What a convenient barrier for them. Unethical business.
I ordered a football shirt, website still says I'll receive the item on a day that's past by 3 plus weeks. I'm yet to get it. I'm amazed at how the ombudsman allows them to keep your money when they do not deliver on their promises.
Sportsdirect.com WORST SHOE COMPANY!
I bought a pair of shoes from them a couple weeks ago and I wore them once for less than 10 mins and they badly cut both my ankles. I went to return them and the manager refused on the premise that they are used. How else would I have noticed their horrible product unless I gave it a chance? Thankfully I had another pair of shoes to switch into that day! After speaking with the store manager at length he refused to do anything and demanded I leave the store. Never buying anything from them again! Please inform everyone about their quality service. I also tried to post this on their facebook page and they marked my comments as spam! I will not be silenced!
Don't buy from sports direct they ripped me off by upto 30 pounds and their customer service is crap they just send you round the bend. As they didn't send an order said it was it problem or delayed cannot get head office number as its a recruitment number or local store. Ordered at 06/08/2018. Courier got my package at 07/08/2018. Next update status was at 17/08/2018. Today (20/08/2018) i have Estimated Delivery: Friday, August 24,2018 By End of Day. I spent 11,99 for fast delivery! *******@CK THEM! Probably they are coming by foot or with bicycle.
Saw a pair of trainers in shop. Did not have enough cash. Went home saw them on website £10 cheaper. Thought it sounded good. Ordered them but had to pay £5 collection fee. Still waiting 5 days on. From shelf to counter. 5 days and£5. Mike Ashley robbing his customers to pay back the staff he robbed.

Emailed sports direct re ordered said next day delivery this was on the 06/02/18 still waiting.
Not even answering emails now or the phone.
Company is a complete joke won't be using again.
For my son I ordered some football boots with screw on studs and we realised one stud missing. Customer services said they will send out asap the missing stud. I am still waiting 2 weeks later. Do they check their stock before it leaves their premises? If they do then why are so many customers orders incorrect or incomplete? Do they hold anyone accountable on their end? Or happy to lose customers but know they can get more because of the cheapness of the stock they sell?
The worst! Ordered 10/12, got email to say item despatched 14/12, but to date 23/12 Hermes courier says they haven't got it. Sports Direct tell me Hermes haven't collected it. All I get is automated responses that it will be delivered in 2 days. This was a Christmas present for my son. They still continue to advertise to order for delivery by Christmas. Disgusting, greedy company!

Sends things in the wrong size than the order. Things are missing from the package.
Customer service is a disaster, announces a good incompetence. Do not respond to questions, instead refer to a lot of junk that is completely irrelevant in the matter.
Will write a comment daily until they close in or become customer friendly. Also, pay a little more in a regular store and get things that fit, or you can send back things and stand there without money.

Answer: Stores in the USA selling hiking boots usually have thick socks for customers to put on before trying boots. If this store does not, it would be wise to wear the socks you plan to use with the boots when trying them on. Caveat emptor
Answer: On the issue of not refunding the purchase price, is that common policy for retailers in the UK? I'm surprised there isn't a government agency for consumer protection that looks into / bans this.
