I have been buying underwear from soma for a long time now.
This is the first time 2 of them came apart at the lace portions.
I talked to the online chat person and they told me the return policy which does not apply here.
I am wondering if the quality is not as it used to be or something was unusually
Wrong with this batch.
I bought 2 bras for $147 and after 2 months the strap on one of them broke. I called customer service and because it was 15 days after their return period they said they wouldn't do anything but give me 40% off a new one. This is ridiculous and I will never buy from them again and nobody else should buy their products either.
First time placing an order and it appears they do not honor returns per the policy.
Horrible horrible, it's as you are forced to keep their product.
Terrible customer service! Both online chats and by phone. Very rude! Online chat person just closed the chat! Not willing to fix their own mistakes! So so disappointed! Will never purchase again and not their customer anymore and wouldn't advise to anybody.
Received defective panties (2 out of 5). Has multiple holes in brown color and thread was off about 2 inches in white one. The worst part of that was I could not get replacement!. Multiple emails sent with the pictures of the defective items to customer services but NO REPLY! This is NOT THE FIRST TIME. It has happened few times in the past. I purchased at least 20 items in the past, sadly I will never buy anything from them again. Never.
I purchase 4 bras and 1 Balconette at two different times, and in less then 6 months 4 of my bras under wire has cut the bra and popped out, which at that point the wire cut my breast. I'm so happy that at least the Balconette is still intact. I will never purchase a bra from this company ever again. Change the wire in your bras Soma.
I purchased 2 wireless bras from Soma in Montgomery mall in Washington DC in September. 2023 To say they have come
Apart all over and torn is saying it nicely. I truly am so disappointed as these Bras are not CHEAP!
I bought two of the cool night pajama sets. Ive only had them a little over a week or two. One already has a rip in the pants. They are my size and I just put them on and go to bed. I washed them in delicate since there are no instructions I've found on how to wash them. They were on sale so you can imagine if I paid full price how even more disappointed I would be. Also they do not keep me cool. I get hot at night and thought great I can sleep better. I'm better off in a thin halter tee and shorts. I expected more.
I was fitted at the store by a nice sales lady. I bought three full price bras. I wore the bra the next day after washing it and taking off the tags. The bra was a horrible fit and rode up constantly. It hurt my chest. I went to the online chat and asked to return all three bras because the fit was wrong. I was informed that the bra with the tag removed could not be returned. I said "you fitted me in store, but you don't stand by your fitting?" The associate just kept writing. "Sorry for your inconvenience, sorry for your inconvenience." The associate was rude and unhelpful. Never offered a solution other than a "one time $10 off my next purchase but only if I called it into their call center instead of ordering online." NO THANKS SOMA! It was a frustrating and expensive experience and I will never buy from this company again.
I started buying Soma bras about 12 years ago and was so impressed! I was blown away at the quality as the first two bras I bought lasted close to 5 years, which is unheard of for my size (44E). The last two times I have bought them, the quality has greatly reduced. The wire broke on my last two after wearing them for less than a year. I am not wearing them for activity - I sit at a desk all day. Also on the armpit side of the bra wire, because the coating on the end is so much thinner than it used to be, it cuts through the fabric and and stabs me in the armpit. I now coat them with layers of finger nail polish (polish solves a lot of problems in my life...Lol!) to reduce being jabbed repeatedly throughout my day. I will be looking for another brand the next time I need to drop 120$ on two bras
I purchased new soma bras in March 2023. In May had to replace bc the underwire popped out in less than 2 months. Here we are in July, another 2 months and replacements bra underwire has now popped out. These bras have either a bad design flaw or awful manufacturing. And at basically $80 a pop, not cheap. So disappointing bc I love the bra, but the company basically tells you too bad, so sad if it breaks on day 61.
I purchased online with Soma. I bought both panties and 1 bra. I purchased the panties during one of their promotions and the bra at full price ($60). Shopping online is a lengthy experience due to a poor setup of their site. The filters do not work so you have to go through every item to see if it's available in your size. It seems that you filter your size, which it doesn't know that the items are unavailable. You can't filter by style or by collections either, so why have this function on the site? The selections are limited and very few choices of colors because nothing is available but 1 or 2 colors and chances are not in your size. My order arrived quickly and I was satisfied with everything but the bra. It was nothing like the picture and was made of cheap ivory mesh (like a tinted net). It was the only bra in ivory, but almost all the panties were ivory based, so don't expect to match your bras and underwear! I returned the bra and found no substitute in the boutique, so my money was refunded.
I had another order which I had placed a day later and was a bit surprised by what I received. The medium panties were all different sizes and not 1 one was consistent, all were different sizes of mediums. A few of them looked nothing like the online picture. Two of their medium hipster cheekies were like reverse thongs (looked like a landing strip in the front), so I decided I wanted to return them and find something else in the same price. I contacted their customer service chat and the individual did not comprehend English well and had no idea what I wanted and did nothing to help assist me. She offered zero suggested options to exchange. I was also told that you cannot exchange items, and the only exchanges are for the exact same product- which I hated! Common sense would be that they process the return and offer different styles available that the customer may like (another sale item in the same promotion?) but this is not how they do business. You have to spend hours looking for something instead of someone assisting you despite asking for help. I gave up with the chat since all I received were canned responses and went to return the items at the boutique. The employees in the boutique didn't want to pull up my information and the return took awhile because they really didn't want to process it despite Soma stating you can return at the boutique. I asked for assistance to find a couple panties and was told they have none! There were bins of the sale items right there! I was going to look at the items, but changed my mind once the worker told me they had s change to their donation and rewards policy- claiming for your donations you can only spend them on bras. This is not true; I checked online and that's not the policy. I contacted customer service through email and explained the difficulties I had communicating with the chat representative, told them about the store experience, showed them the policy, asked what the policy is since I'm told online is not correct, and asked for assistance yet again. I received several emails from customer service, all with the exact canned responses! Not answering any questions or assisting me with my purchases. The emails were condescending and rude. I don't think Soma cares about customers or additional sales. I highly recommend doing business elsewhere; there's plenty of other bras and panties sold online for cheaper and better quality. I'm sure they'd be happy to boost their sales.
Back in 2018, I loved their bras. Lasted way longer than normal and the comfiest around. Last year? I bought two in September that stopped fitting by December and the two I bought in December, one got a hole in it barely outside of the return window and they gave me a pathetic 15% coupon to get me to shut up. Never going back to them.
I purchased 2 of same bra Sku# *******. One in May 2022 and one in Sept or Oct 2022. BOTH BRAS UNDERWIRE BROKE ON SAME RIGHT SIDE in center. Pinching me and causing a sore because I was away from home each time and had to wear the bra the rest of the day.
I contacted customer service and spoke to two different representatives. Both did not care that I had bought many hundreds of dollars of items this past year, nor would they even entertain a GOOD WILL EXCHANGE. They each told me its out of the warranty and I'll have to buy a new bra.
Yes, I sure will - but never a SOMA or a CHICO's (same company) product again. Folks, I shop ALOT. You've just lost literally $2-4k a year from me. I'm taking my business to a company that has better quality and stands behind its products as well as its customers who support them.
Hi, I have purchase 6 bras from Soma and on each bra the wire has broken apart. I washed them according to Soma guidelines and still my bras are not wearable after spending over 200.00 on their bras.
I have been wearing soma pajamas for over 10 years just ordered some new stuff and the pajamas are so thin you can see your skin through them. I guess I have to find some other company to buy my pajamas from.
Make that a negative star rating! No, No and NO! DO NOT purchased from this establishment! So disappointed - obviously the staff that used to work here are no longer. Awful, ZERO customer service, at least not after your money is spent. Not sure, but if it was the manager that spoke to me, someone, anyone in upper management needs to go back over what it means to provide customer service. Unbelievable, Unhelpful and Uncaring! So SAD, really thought the ladies in my family had found a new lingerie shop, since the Maddox Shop had closed down, we were SO wrong!
This is the worst bra ever purchased! Spent a lot of money thinking I was buying higher quality only to have it fail not even six months later. Wire is poking through and jabbing me under my arms yet Customer service wants to give me a $25 off my next purchase! Never again! Keep your $25 and make better bras and a warning to anyone else looking at soma. Beware.
While I love my Soma bras and wouldn't live without them I will never purchase any of their items on line even knowing my exact size. It was not about the product but about the service to return an item (bra) that I had never purchased before.
I tried calling, contacting and going through the entire internet to try and return via mail and I failed to contact with anyone who could assist me. While I could and will return in person the only stores available to me in Florida are completely out of my travel. The closest store is over an hour's drive (Broward County) and I live in Miami (Miami-Dade County). It is quite perplexing that a City as Cosmpolitan and with such high end stores that Soma does not have an available store in Miami, Florida. That said, I will have to take time to drive all the way to Broward in order to return one bralette that did not fit properly. They lost my purchases on line and will not buy as often as I wanted do to the travel and commute. My 4 Stars are for the product but I would have given a 1 Star for Customer Service.
A pair of my vanishing edge panties developed a hole and I contacted customer service to ask about a replacement due to the quality issues. The customer service rep denied my request and offered an offensive 10% off another purchase. I will no longer buy Soma products
Answer: If you have about half an hour to sit and hold either on the phone or waiting for someone to get on chat, then yes.
Answer: They are a legit company, but shop in store if you can. Online customer service is severely lacking even when the issue is on their end and they are at fault. They really won't do anything to make it right other than offering a refund after making you deal with the inconvenience of setting up the return.
Answer: Their pajamas and bras are super comfy. They work fantastically when you receive the correct size, which seems to be an issue. Shop in person & save yourself a headache. I have had zero issues shopping in store.
