I bought a pair of TagHeuer glasses on the SmartBuyGlasses website. Why, like most of us, it is easy and cheaper. I didn't do any research, I am a frequent online buyer and never had any problems with any online purchase. Besides, I was on a NL extension of SmartBuyGlasses and in Holland the glasses are already a bit cheaper than for example Belgium.
When I ordered my glasses for some reason I started to become a bit suspicious why the glasses where so much cheaper than in Belgium. And I am talking here 100's of euro's. When I googled a bit more I found people that had delivered their glasses nicely and were happy. Some of them had bad experiences and never received glasses at all, or the wrong once, etc…
To double check I wrote an email to TagHeuer to ask if they could verify if SmartBuyGlasses was a genuine TagHeuer reseller. They informed me that they only work with resellers that have a physical shop. And if they sell online they still need to have a physical shop.
I decided not to panic and wait. After a few days I could see that my package was shipped, just like the rest of us, out of Hong Kong. I waited a couple of days and my TagHeuer glasses where nicely delivered. Everything was there, my glasses, the box, the guarantee card + product number, cleaner, paper instructions and product book.
Still suspicious, I wrote another email to TagHeuer asking them to verify the product number to know if this is a real TagHeuer glasses. Until today they haven't replied and I don't know why.
I believe that the glasses are 100% FAKE. And the reason why, it all adds up:
- They have a large range of glasses however often they cannot deliver the once you want. Why, because they are not copying them yet, to attract more visitors, to look professional;
- Have you been to Hong Kong? No, go there you will see what they copy and how perfect they can do it. They are just the best copy cats in the world. Did you know that Louis Vuitton struggles themselves to recognize a fake handbag.
- The reason why I believe it is fake, the smell! The glasses and the box have a very strong plastic smell. Very strong and it is now 3 weeks and they still have a strong plastic smell.
My conclusion: You are cool with a fake glasses, go and place your order. Until they have not proof to me that I have a real TagHeuer, I will not buy there *******@SmartBuyGlasses, I am open to change my opinion and announce that I was wrong but then you need to proof me that you are a genuine TagHeuer reseller!

Horrendous company to deal with!
Returned glasses as they were to small. They were signed for on 11/8/14, still waiting for refund on 18/09/14- Keep emailing me lies! Told me weeks ago money had been refunded, when I complained several times they said there was a problem with accounts, complained again, now they are saying refund processed, my bank know NOTHING about this. DO NOT USE EVER!
I live in Canada and I have to pay taxes for the purchased glasses. My recommendation for Canadians to avoid 50% brokerage fee:
1. Call UPS and tell that you'll do clearance
2. Go to local CBSA and yourself for clearance (only customs fee ~15%)
3. Send the scanned form B15 to UPS
4. Wait for delivery
Customs fee was refunded to my bank account thanks to SmartBuyGlasses

Excellent place to pick up a pair of prescription glasses. I loved a pair I saw at Lenscrafters but the frames+lenses together cost $428 there. I found the exact frames with the same high-index 1.61 lenses on SmartBuyGlasses for about $140. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time, the frames were excellent, and the prescription perfect. The company samartBuyGlasses are very smart in scamming people who are penny pinchers and want to save a few dollars on their eye glasses. I have ordered a pair of glasses and these scammers took my money and after charging my credit card I got another email 5 minutes later saying that "our system flagged your payment as a potentially risky transaction and..." and they have the 2 options for me, 1. "email" them my passport, drivers license or other government ID" or pay by PayPal.
I am really mad at those crooks hiding behind the computer screens and looting people. I've cancelled my order and don't know if and when they refund my money! I work in the law enforcement and won't let them get away with this type of scam for long!

I asked for money back via email and was told 3-4 days (THEIR TELEPHONE LINE DOES NOT WORK!). The money did not appear. I was then told by email it would be 10 days. Now nothing. I phoned visa to complain and after 3 WEEKS there is no payment pending into my account. They are CROOKS! DO NOT BUY. All the good reviews are obviously put in by themselves!

I was surprised to receive notification that the first pair of glasses I ordered were coming from Hong Kong. They arrived and fell to bits a couple of weeks later. After some time wasting debate, they eventually decided to replace them. The replacements have still not arrived. I ordered a different pair of glasses for my son's birthday. They were late, so they gave me the standard 5% reduction. These arrived, but were to small (fine). It took 3 messages to find out where to ship these back to. The replacement pair has not arrived. I have cancelled both orders. I suspect that there will be some fun and games getting the money back. The funny thing is that when you have a problem, you get this message from "**". "**" (if that is her real name) is pretty useless. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I have reported them to the glasses manufacturers (Salice) who have been brilliant. This is not the first time they have had problems with this company and they are currently investigating them. I am concerned that the goods are not even genuine. Salice have offered to supply me with two sets of glasses straightaway.
