I received the Michael Kors glasses (frames only) I ordered but was disappointed in the wait and with the additional international fees that were charged - I didn't realized these would be shipping directly from China. I placed my order on May 14 and they didn't ship until May 24th! I don't understand why it took so long when I was ordering frames only. I'm pleased with the product but not sure I'll order from Smartbuy again.
They finally did fix the problem and stop the payment
SmartBuyGlasses were fantastic, I purchased the Ray-Ban RB3025 Aviator sunglasses and they shipped it to me quickly within a few days with an extra lens cloth and free lens maintenance kit that will come in handy, I am sure. Will definitely shop here again!
No problem at all with the purchase and delivery.
The only thing to point, and I dont know if its a problem of the seller or the manufecturer, the colors of the product (Marc By Marc Jacobs MMJ 203/S-0D4/QX) weren´t close to the image showed the website, and I checked it after arriving in three diferent screens (pc and mobile)).
I received the item in good condition, and iwas happy with it, they also gave me discount and that is a good thing since my item was delayed a bit and I was patiently waiting for it. But then again, still satisfied I hope they improve more in fast delivery.
Ordered a pair of Gucci frames with prescription lenses. Other than the rather long wait of a couple weeks during which a couple of progress emails were sent, they arrived exactly as expected with no problems. Didn't use their customer service so can't comment on that. For the price, I didn't mind the wait.
My order from SmartBuyGlasses never arrived (it has been almost two months) and the company has not responded to my emails nor provided me with any reimbursement. Poor customer service and the inability to get me my order means SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I ordered two different pairs of sunglasses in two different occasions from smartbuysunglasses. Both time I got them, and they were authentic, but also both times it was a drag. When I ordered my first pair, my country wasn't in the "countries we ship to" list. Actually it was, as Yugoslavia, but it doesn't exist anymore (for over 20 years now) and it broke down into a couple of countries, and one of them is Serbia, which is where I live. So I chose Yugoslavia during the checkout and sent them an email updating my country name to Serbia. They confirmed that they updated my address and that I shouldn't worry, but a few days later as I was tracking my shipment I noticed it was going to the wrong country! And after I told them my correct address SEVERAL times and they confirmed the change! So I sent them an email again, and they returned the shipment and sent it again a few days later by dhl express, and I got it i three days. Free of charge, of course. The second time I ordered with them I had to wait for 3 weeks for an item they said was in stock :/. When I finally got my glasses, they were great, authentic and all, but the process is ALWAYS SO FRUSTRATING! So I don't know, what to think. Their customer service always responds quickly, they are polite and all but it just seems like they have no structure and organisation. They are definitely not a scam sompany, they will never steal your money, but arm yourself with a lot of patience if you go into business with them.
I ordered for a pair of Gucci sunglasses from India on the 5th June. I was finding the website a little shady as they don't have a proper line of customer service like a telephone line(at least for the Indian website). I however looking at their international website and reputation placed the order. After three days when I logged into the smart buy account to check the order status, it was conveniently marked as backordered. No intimation was sent for this. I then sent them an email as to what was going on to which I got a generic reply saying they apologies and gave me three options. I either select a new model, wait for this one or opt for a refund. Agreed, which in a way is fair and I further asked them a few questions to which I haven't received a reply for the past 5 days (all working days). I've sent them five chasers, written to the main US website and they're least bothered to get back. Now would be placing a request for chargeback from the bank. Please beware of them, they're a complete con site and are totally unethical. Worst online shopping experiences ever!

The worst experience i can ever have with a company
Believe me this company have no respect for the customer i will give you the reasons
I bought an item and waited 15 days for it to be delivered and then the item i received is a different size
Ok we say that mistakes happen...
I happily reposted back the item and paid for the postage fees by that time around 20 days are wasted
I asked to replace the item to my order which is an Oakley frame with size 53 they said that they will deliver it in a week and then suddenly they say its out of stock
In conclusion they've sent me a different item because my item was out of stock and they thought that i will just keep the smaller frame!
Now i asked for a refund for the frame and the postage back fees
They haven't made a refund until i opened a PayPal dispute and they didn't pay me for posting the item back.

On a normal absolutely standard order they are OK. As soon as there is a problem, the wheels fall off. The staff handling queries is english-illiterate or they pretend to be. One of the glasses sent to me had a flaw in the actual glass and i got the most stupid comments like "use the cleaning kit". I took some pics of the problem which was a starburst in the lower half of the glasses to prove my point. All I wanted was to send back the lens itself, they have the precise dimensions and could return a cut lens to do the replacement. I got an unending stream of impractical options and eventually replaced the lens myself locally.

So, it's been 6 weeks since order and they don't seem to have faintest idea WHEN my sunglasses could be expected to ship, if ever. I received couple of responses via email, containing basically the same template text "As we mentioned, we currently cannot give you an indication when we can expect your item to arrive, nor guarantee that we can deliver you order." So, you can't even claim getting lip service from this company. I cancelled my order and now I'm curious to see if I even get my money back.
So my review is this: Very unreliable. They are not able to tell you whether they actually can EVER ship your order.
Background: Submitted order for Maui Jim Freight Trains with prescription lenses on 10th April, with a note to expedite order since I needed new sunglasses for a long motorcycle trip. Order confirmation email claimed "Within the next 3-5 days we will update you on your order status by email."
Finally received an email on April 19th apologizing for delay caused by "restocking." As of 5th May, have not received glasses or any communication or update how the order is processing. Subsequently received the template customer communication emails with no real information. Paid $405.
Ordered my rayban clubmaster frames and was delighted with everything. Price was great and the glasses arrived exactly when they said and was informed of the deliveryall the way. I recommend them to all my friends and will be using them again

I ordered 2 different pair of Persol to choose from. One shipped right away and I received them in less than 2 weeks. I also got updates from customer service all along the way. The second pair was back ordered and never showed up. I was happy with the product that arrived and the communication during the process. The quality is perfect. I would order again from this company.
Skip the Headache with Smart Buy Glasses... They do not indicate which frames are out of Stock!
I ordered my glasses with prescription lenses back on March 13,2014. At the time that I ordered them nothing on the website indicated low stock on the specific frame. After not hearing anything for about a week, I decided to Email customer service to ask why no progress had been made on my order. Finally I received a response from customer service letting me know that they were out of stock on this specific frame even though I was not informed of this at the time of purchasing. They offered to help me find frames that were similar to the one that i had ordered that could get shipped to me faster, which I kindly declined as I have been searching for this specific frame for quite some time. It is now April 23,2014. They still do not have stock of the frames that I have ordered well over a month ago and no progress has been made on my order. I have now requested a different size of frame to try and get my glasses sooner but have not heard back from customer service in a couple of days.
They have offered me a 5% discount which takes about $10 off my order as well and majority of the customer service has been really helpful and kind so I have appreciated that part of Smart Buy Glasses.
The frustrating thing is that the frames that I have been waiting on can still be purchased on their website and says that the dispatch time is 5-11 working days. If it had been indicated at the time that I purchased these frames that they were out of stock, I probably would not have ordered them.
I am now thinking of Cancelling my order... I am not sure if I just ended up in a rare (crappy) situation with Smart Buy Glasses, or if this is how they normally conduct business.
I would say skip Smart Buy Glasses and go with someone more reputable like Clearly Contacts.
