I ordered a pair of Ray Ban 2140's on April 15th, and since they ship from Hong Kong i was worried they would take weeks to get here. I was amazed when they arrived here in Toronto on April 17th via Fedex bright and early. After looking online i can see that they are 100% authentic, they even have the manufacturers barcode sticker on the box. There are also tons of coupon codes you can find online to even further discount the price. I will definitely recommend this site to everyone I know.
They emailed and said my transaction had been flagged as potentially fraudulent. They asked for copies of my passport, drivers license or other id. I think not baby puppy! But my credit card company said the payment had gone through. I left emails about my concerns and I finally got one back in bad english saying they can't process the order unless I do it PayPal which they will send to me. On the website, there is no live chat function or telephone numbers and it doesn't recognize my number so only way to communicate with them is by email. I think its a scam and I am going to dispute the charges with my credit card company.
I wanted a very unique pair of glasses that they had on their site. I emailed to ask if it was in stock before ordering and they said YES. I then waited two weeks and got an order update stating that it was out of stock and they were trying to find the frame from a distributer. Another 2 weeks and still no glasses. So I cancelled my order and got my money back. Since I did get my money back I can at least say they are reliable for refunds but they mislead you about what is in stock and what is not and how long it will take to get your glasses. Don't believe them if they say something is in stock.
I would also like to add that while the site says it is located in the USA, it does not list a phone number and if you want to talk to them you have to leave your number on their website and wait for a call back. The call I got was from China. There's nothing wrong with tha tbut I wish they were a bit more upfront about not being located in the USA.

I ordered a Gimmy Choo sunglasses in an exhalent price, it arrived in two weeks to my door step, no shipment charge and no extra tax charges in my country (Israel). Perfect
The best way to give good service to your costumers is just to make sure they needn't need service!
Here is a timeline of my events...
7th March - order confirmed
12th March - Adivsed item is backordered and asked to choose an alternative - none of the alternatives were in my price range, they were all a lot more expensive. So i picked a different goggle that wasn't on the alternative list and asked them to check that this item was in stock before changed my order otherwise i'd just want a refund so i could get goggle from elsewhere. They confirmed they were in stock.
13th March - Order confirmed
18th March - Item backordered (even though i asked them to check it was in stock!) so i asked for a refund
19th March - Refund issued
25th March- still no money in my account, so i emailed them to check and it turned out the refund had never been processed.
All in all the customer service is polite - but they do not do what they say they are going to do!
Been trying to order sunglasses for 4 days. Website does not upload my order, then when it seems to be working it does not recognize my prescription (loaded or saved). Called, phones will not answer, left call back number - they did call back and asked for an email order. 3 days now and nothing. Tried today and through the same as the beginning. Would rather pay $750.00 per pair than waste my time with these knuckleheads.
I waited over 4 weeks for my glasses. The advised me to change my order or ask for a refund, as my initial order is not available. I asked for a refund 2 weeks ago. While initially they were very prompt to answer my questions, it's been 3 days now and no one replies. I am sending daily emails and leaving message on their phone (no one answers directly). We are talking $300 which they billed right away, and I am concerned of fraud.
I ordered a pair of Persol sunglasses from this site. It took approximately 3 weeks to get them, which I thought was a reasonable length of time considering where they are shipped from and that they don't stock everything in their catalog. My biggest concern was authenticity, seeing they were much cheaper than on other sites. After doing some research I determined that they were genuine. I was very pleased and all promised accessories were included. I will use this site again when the need arises.
Quick response to my question, easy ordering, and fast delivery made this a very positive experience. The sunglasses were perfect: classy, trendy and stylish all in one. I had some difficulty trying to find the pair on other sites.

I have very positive experience. I ordered glasses frames, got them very quickly, but they didn't suit me. I returned this. I got money back one day after my return.
I ordered the other pair a little smaller and shipment was also quick and glasses are excelent. For sure I will order from this website again.

I ordered some Carrera sunglasses from this site. I read reviews on here because I was concerned about possible fraud since the glasses come from Hong Kong. However, they arrived just two days after my order was placed, with helpful notifications along the way. The glasses are authentic and came in adequate packaging. I'm very satisfied, and will definitely buy from smartbuyglasses.com in the future.
Worth the hassle. My prescription Ray-Bans arrived and were perfect! I saved about $100.00. Shipping was slow and communication was not great. However, I WOULD RECOMMEND to friends/ family. But, if you are replacing your only pair of broken spectacles, this is not the company for you.
Receved frames within a week, and the eye perscription was too strong. I went to eye Dr and got a weaker scrip and also picked out a frame I thought was more to my liking. I returned the first pair of glasses and they shipped me the new pair with no additional restocking or any hidden fees and new glasses came in 4 days. I will use them again for perscription sunglasses.

Two things strike me about SmartBuy; their prices and their customer service.
I've ordered 2 pairs of glasses from them to date, one of a designer brand and one of their own house-brand. Both are fantastic. My first purchase was about 1 year ago. I was due for a new prescription so I figured I'd get a very different style of glasses. I found a fantastic pair of Police crystal frame glasses. I placed my order, but there was an error on my part when I selected a free tint and only realized it after I got the glasses. I didn't want the tint but forgot to change the radio button option. When I got the glasses I contacted them right away and mentioned my issue. They promptly provided me an RMA and I returned the glasses. They sent me back another pair without the tint.
My second pair also suffered an erroneous situation, but it was a technical issue with their site. Their house-brand offers basic lenses for free with the purchase of any house-brand frames. I found a pair I liked, ordered it, but when I checked my email confirmation it didn't show my prescription. The system suspected I ordered without lenses so I got a follow up email asking if I'd like to purchase lenses. I quickly emailed customer service and informed them. I even went through the hassle or reordering and taking screen shots of every page through the checkout and payment process. I PDF'd the images and sent it to customer service. They refunded me the first order and fulfilled my second order. I got my second pair of glasses and couldn't be happier.

I'm an ex-pat Brit living in SA. I separately ordered two pairs of designer sunglasses (no prescription lenses) - one Ray Ban Clubmans one D&G ladies. In both cases the prices were much cheaper than I could have ordered them anywhere else locally and even cheaper that on any of the sites I have used in the US and UK (even before the current rand weakness!) I was also sceptical when I discovered they were coming from HK and expected to find myself paying customs duties on them. However, as stated elsewhere I was surprised when the Ray Bans were delivered to my door by courier within three days - perfect in every way, not fakes - and no duty to pay. The D&G ones took slightly longer - about 10 days - but it was right before Christmas and they are more expensive and rarer, so may have been out of stock. Again though perfect, delivered by courier to the door. Both came with a free lense cleaning kit that another well known international sunglasses store previously charged me about R150 for! Excellent product, excellent service, highly recommended.

Eyes are precious and irreplaceable, so it is highly recommended to have an eye test at least every 2 years to be sure of your own prescription.
