Although my online CC info was approved, I was asked to send a photo id via email - i removed senstivite info and sent it over and my designer glasses arrived 2 weeks later. I wasn't happy with the shipping time, but considering the local shop was asking for 2x more, I am happy I saved over 150 USD and will use SmartBuyGlasses for all future purchases. Easily recommended.
I was skeptical like most about purchasing prescription glasses online. But after having a bad experience at my local Lenscrafters (I had to tilt my head to see clearly through the glasses they made for me and was told to wear them for a week - it never got better), I decided to try this company out. I went to Americas Best and got my eyes checked again (don't forget to ask for pupillary distance), and then placed my order with SmartBuyGlasses.
In summary, the price for frames and prescription glasses can not be beat. I knocked off one star for the overall time it takes to get the glasses (about a month total). They keep you well informed with tracking emails. I ordered three pairs altogether, and they all came from Hong Kong. Regarding authenticity, they are the real deal. I am happy with my purchase and will order designer glasses from them in the future. The total price was less than half of what it would cost me here in the U.S. (Chicago). If the price was a little less and customer service was better I would continue to patronize businesses here but come on? Gouge me on the lenses and send me home with the wrong prescription? Shame on you Lenscrafters and all the power to SmartBuyGlasses.com.

It is time consuming to write a mail to customer services and wait for a reply to obtain the LENS HEIGHT There are many glasses that I would have purchased if LENS HEIGHT was listed on the site. The glasses came quick, but i had to pay 14.00 for customs as they were shipped from the US. I thought this was a Canadian website. The duty was not mentioned in the purchase price.

I purchased (and they took the money out of my account) Maui Jim sunglasses in November for a xmas gift. It is not January 26th and I have not received them. I emailed them put in a negative reveiw on a different review forum. The replied immediatly back to my negative review but did not contact me. I called them and they said that after they recieved my money from my account it was flagged fro a fraud alert. They said they emailed me but they did not! Why would it be listed as a potential fraud if you got the money from the card listed? I call SCAM. They said they could get the glasses for me but it would take 3-4 weeks because they don't keep them in stock. I told them to return my money. I did get a confirmation email that there was a reversal in the works. So I'm recieving thier emails - if they send them. They may offer a nice discount but it is not worth dealing with this crap.

I had purchased Giorgio Armani AR6031 Polarized-******* from smartbuyglasses.co.in ( Order ID: IN*******302G) on 04 Aug 2017. However today when I checked, It showed my that my order status was 'backordered'.
Before placing my order I had written an email to them (on 26 June 2017) asking for the availability of the product and I received a reply from them (on 29 June 2017)confirming that the product was available.
On 07 Aug 2017, I wrote to them asking for the airway bill no. Instead, on 08 Aug 2017, when I checked in my order list, I was surprised to see that my order was 'backordered'.
I am very disheartened with this. And I am now waiting to receive reply from smartbuyglasses to either provide me with the item that I have ordered or send me the full refund of the payment which I have made using PayPal.

I ordered glasses 2/4/15 glasses still have not arrived 3/12/15 I contact customer service DAILY they wait 24 hours to respond and have not been helpful in the least. Glasses shipped from HONG KONG via DHL with an original delivery date of 3/2/15 glasses never arrived contacted DHL and smartbuy. DHL said that there was a customs issue and glasses were being returned to HONG KONG as requested by customs. I immediately contacted smartbuy who told me to contact DHL?!?! I was expecting to hear we will investigate and get your glasses to you as soon as possible but they are in no hurry since they received my money way back in early February! Extremely frustrated will not buy from again I believe there are hundreds of similar reviews to mine online if you do a little digging!

We understood from our logistic department however that the parcel your order was shipped under was unfortunately held 6 days by customs before the release. This unfortunately as explained is something that may happen to a small percentage of parcels and is something that is out of our control. Of course we try to speed up the process as much as we can by following the instructions for release.
After the release we see that the parcel was redirected to you for delivery, but after a few failed attempts the parcel was rerouted back to us. Our customer service representative informed you to contact the courier in case of instructions were to be added for the delivery.
