I took a chance on this website knowing I may get a Chinese knock-off... and sure enough I did. The fit didn't match what was shown on the website; the fabric is cheap and very thin as well.
They overprice their dresses to make them look high quality and I can only return the dress for store credit (which I don't even want to use). Please please do your research and avoid the hassle of getting something that wasn't advertised. I recommend websites like Lulus or even your local prom store for gorgeous dresses.
Purchased a dress for my daughter and had to pay $22 for two day shipping in order to get it on time for her event. Ordered on a Sunday and didn't receive until Wednesday... 2 days to me meant Tuesday delivery. When I called I was told two day shipping meant two business days... that's not what I saw when placing the order.
Once we received the dress it was HUGE! I requested a RA# to return the dress. I then had to pay $10 to ship the dress back plus lost the $22 I paid for the "two day" shipping PLUS a 10% restocking fee for a dress we had for 24 hours. I would NEVER buy from this company again. You're better off finding something from Macy's or Amazon who offer free shipping and returns.

Unfortunately the $22 shipping charge cannot be refunded because it is used by UPS to deliver the package and there were no delays. For returns, we do offer a UPS shipping label for $8 that includes tracking and insurance, or you can use the method of your choice. According to your order it has been noted that the sizing was different than you expected so it can be measured when it arrives. If the dress matches the chart, the restocking fee will be charged per policy but if it is incorrect, it will be waived at that time. We're very sorry for any misunderstanding and we appreciate your patience as your return processes!
I was apprehensive about purchasing on line, but have enough time before my formal to get a new dress if need be, so I went for it. Got the dress in 5 days. The material and quality are GREAT, the fit is exactly true to the size I always get, and it looks exactly like the picture online. I couldn't be happier!
Purchased two drssses for my daughter for homecoming. Neither fit because they're sizing chart is wayyy off. Returned both for a store credit. I have been waiting a week (5 business days) for my voucher needed to purchase another dress for her. I called and emailed on the 5th business day per their website return policy and they are now stating it can take 10 business days for the credit. I asked them to check with the warehouse to see where we are in the process but they refused. I asked for my funds released today so I can have a dress in time for homecoming, again refused. I waited the 5 business days as stated, and still nothing. If you're looking for a dress for a certain date, don't order from here -You may end up without a dress! The reps were short and curt and had no empathy or compassion for the customers. What should be a fun day, is turned into a stressful one. I will never do business with them again. Nothing should take 2 weeks to process in 2016 - That's absurd!

I ordered a maxi dress for my vacation. Unfortunately, it arrived a few days after I left - not prior to my departure as expected. When I returned about a week later and tried it on, it did not fit. When I tried to return it, they refused. Would not even do an exchange. I have never ordered from them again, will not, and have advised everyone I know not to order as well. They obviously don't care about losing my business or anyone else's.

We love the dress and it came quickly. The only unfortunate thing is that the skirt is very very long (and we discovered has 3 layers of fabric) and the top was huge even though my daughter is big chested. Off to the alterations place!
I ordered a dress from simply dresses. The color of the dress is pink in the picture. I received them and they are a taupe color. They are now charging em a restocking fee for their misleading picture. I do not agree with this business tactic. It's not right. Pink and taupe are not even similar. I contacted their company and they said its how they do it. I will never order from here again. They may have great prices but not when they take $30 to restock for a dress color that I didn't order.

My bridesmaids ordered dresses in Jade! They sent Kelly green! Not even close to my colors! When they were contacted all they said was we are sorry and will waiver the return fee. They were no help at all and said they have since took the jade color off! They never even contacted us to tell us the color was out of stock, they just sent the color they had! I will never use Simply Dresses again!

My dress was perfect! It looks just like the picture and the fabric is great quality as well as the stitching. The size chart was also perfect as my dress fits me like a glove! I look forward to making more purchases through simply dresses!
I ordered 3 dresses from them and got them in and tried them on and none fit (this was not the problem) so shipped all 3 back the very next day. Well, I got refunded on 2 of them TWO weeks ago, and still waiting on the 3rd one. I have called several times and have gotten the run around. No one seems to know what the hold up is on the 3rd dress. I just want my money back.

This dress is super simple and exactly what I was looking for for prom. I had to wait for it to be shipped out but once it was out, it came on time and I'm beyond satisfied with it. It's simple but very elegant and fits me perfectly.

The dress was beautiful. Excellent quality. It was shipped as the company said it would be. The sizing on the chart for the dress did not match the actual dress. The lady that did the alterations said she should have gone one dress size smaller. She also said she has been doing alterations for over 40 years for weddings, proms, pageants. She said this is a company she prefers to work with because of the quality of their dresses. She said you need to be careful with some companies because the dresses are knock-offs from other countries. For some reason the Simply Dress website would not let you read any reviews at the time this was purchased. It would be nice to read reviews to get some sort of feedback with the sizing.

My daughter's dress' zipper failed on her way to the photoshoot before the quinceneara. She was forced to wear it pinned all the way up her back for the entire day - she couldn't lean back in her chair, eat any food or even breathe deeply because the pins would have popped open. Here is the reply from SimplyDresses customer service: "As a courtesy for the inconvenience, and so the zipper may be repaired, my supervisor has reviewed and is happy to offer a $20 refund for the damage." Not sure how this was considered an "inconvenience" and, like a wedding dress, when would she EVER wear that dress again? What good is repairing it?! We will never buy anything from them ever again!

I'm pretty livid right now, so I'm going to make this short. Ordered a dress for my wedding. Was told by a representative that it would arrive to me on time. The dress arrived late. I was already out of town when it arrived on my doorstep. Emailed them and told them I would indeed return the dress when I got back in town as it was NOT received prior to my destination wedding. Did NOT even try the dress on. Returned it and never heard back about refund. A month later I emailed about where my refund was because their office was closed for a few days. They responded that there was a stain on the front and I was not due a refund. I did NOT even take the dress out of the box! What a fraudulent company. I hope you go out of business you *!

I liked the huge selection of dresses at reasonable prices. The sizing was very different compared to my normal size in many other brands. I typically wear a small or size 2/4, but when I tried my dress on, I couldn't even get it past my waist. I also found the return process to be aggravating. There were several steps, things I needed to print out to return with my dress, as well as ridiculous prices for a return label ($8) and a "rehandling fee" of almost $6. I'm extremely disappounted with the money I lost on this dress, and will most likely not be purchasing from the site again.
Every time I have ordered from SimplyDresses, everything has been absolutely perfect. The dress looks identical to the photo, the fit is exactly as expected, the prices are reasonable, and the shipping is timely. I tried ordering from a different website once, and the dress took months longer than expected to arrive, so I had to order a new dress last minute from SimplyDresses, and it arrived in time for my dance (when I say last minute, I mean a week and a half before the dance). I would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking to order a dress. They are fantastic!
