Ordered Holiday cards November 16... 2 mistakes on their part and it's December 15 and still don't have my order! Each time I called and I had to do so much work as a customer to get their mistakes corrected. On top of that they offered no such relief or expedited shipping... nothing! I actually wrote an email complaining yesterday and this morning they responded with basically we don't know what your talking about as we have no order number. Please get back to them with any issues! Laughable! They couldn't even look at my name and phone number on my email to look me up. Again. As a customer I did so much work to try to help myself. Pure laziness! I will never use them again which is a shame as they offer a lot of cute gift ideas.

I tried to order because it says Costco members get free shipping on orders 49$ or more and 51% off. It would end up being around the same price Costco used to sell their photos for. However, they don't tell you that the free shipping only applies if you have 49$ or more in the shipping cost, which makes it more than the cost of Walgreens or Fred Meyer. If you have a Costco membership you also don't get the option to get the 1- hour pick-up, you HAVE to ship it. Why waste my time with shutterfly when I can do same day with Fred Meyer, at least I know the photos will turn out great. Not to mention it took me 3 separate tries to used their "24/7 assistant" since it kept kicking me off when it was my turn. Waste of time.
This site needs to be used with extreme care. While the initial experience was quite good and the usability of the site was excellent, I ended up wasting a lot of time and money because of them, completely preventable and frustrating. My first order took many hours to finish and only at the cart did I find out they failed to list USD as the currency. This makes it far more expensive for me... the shipping also mysteriously doubled after I placed the order making it all come to a whopping 50% more money than I was shown.
That was at least tolerable until I spent several hours preparing an order with vouchers for free items offered for one day only... and only after trying to place it, found out the shipping was OVER 50 USD and they wouldn't even ship the free item to my location. This was not shown anywhere in the offer. The whole order was a flop and I ended up getting nothing that day. I really don't think I'll be going back.
I've been a user of Shutterfly for many years. They send promotions all the time for "free" stuff, just pay overpriced shipping. The site is extremely frustrating. I have had problems uploading pictures most of the time where it had an error and I would have to start over. I have wasted countless hours using their site, most of the time with errors. The prints are terrible quality. They seemed much nicer years ago, but now the pictures are blurry and of terrible quality. It is not my camera... my images are sharp and beautiful anywhere but in print from Shutterfly. I will not be using Shutterfly in the future.
This is the 2nd time Ive ordered an important gift from Shutterfly, Only to find out that it wasnt arriving on the scheduled time. This particular order, even paid $ 29.99 So that it would be delivered on time. Its being delivered four days late, which means that we will be on our 10 year anniversary trip and I have no gift to give. Upon calling customer service to find out why it did not arrive as paid for and scheduled, they simply refund of the shipping and offered no other solution. I will not be counting on Shutterfly to deliver production on time moving forward. This is ridiculous and has literally ruined to family events now.
They legit have taken 4 days late and still no updates on my package that I ordered about 2 weeks ago, which was been in my city for days, it's extremely late compared to the projection date that it was suppose to arrive and the no updates gives me more anxiety, because I payed for quicker shipping.
S door. I looked at my fyrurfly did not deliver the order. They said it waste my front door but it was neither there nor anywhere on my block. They originally offered to reprint. The next day when I checked the status of the reprint they said they would not and the order would be delivered that day. It was not. Thy refused to reprint or issue a refund. Ordered Christmas cards with a Shutterfly provided guaranteed delivery date all during check out and in my order confirmation email. Once processed that guaranteed date changed to a range of dates and I let it go. Once the initial guaranteed date passed I emailed customer service since there was no activity on the tracking number I was provided and they said nothing to worry about and that I had to go by the last day of the date range. Well the last day came and went and no still no Christmas cards. I contacted customer service again and they said since there was no activity since the initial scanning by USPS it's likely lost. Well it's now a little over a week before Christmas and I have no cards to send. Will never use this company again. Bait and switch "guaranteed" delivery dates and unreliable.
I contacted shutterfly today regarding my order, I ordered it all at once, it arrives in 6 boxes, 2 of which are missing. The site does not say it is in USD when you checkout! I was charge an additional $100 for the exchange! I asked about this and was told it's a US based company, I should know this. The order I see on my end does not reflect discounts per item just as a whole, it is against policy for them to give me a breakdown! WTF! Against policy! It says I was charges $131 for shipping! I had a free shipping code. I spoke with a supervisor who was extremely rude and told me to send the products back! I have been a long time user of Shutterfly and am not impressed with their photo prints as they always come out dull. However, the kicker has been a recent purchase of a photo book in which I clicked through an online rebate company to Shutterfly and Shutterfly claimed that my "order was credited to another website" but they have a "strict policy of not sharing" their information so that my order was not given the rebate. WHAT A LIE! I was super careful to click through a particular link and did not receive any compensation through a different website. Shutterfly has cheated me and the rebate company out of $30 and I would not have made this purchase if I had known they would lie like this. I write this in warning to others for future experiences. My trust and respect for this company has dropped considerably.
I had very bad experience with ordering mugs: I started with the price 6.99$ for mug and free shipping as a promotion, I made order, saw the price, was very happy, then added more mugs, then I saw that price for mugs suddenly doubled to 13$ plus shipping price. I texted for help, representative sent the code, price looked better, but more for about $3. I said it OK, continued shopping, added more mugs< came back to cart: price doubled for mug. I texted again: received different promotion,, deleted added mugs, BUT final price was 55$ with new promotion(compare to 32$ at the beginning). Awful. Never again.

It was difficult from cropping photos, right through error message for my address to placing order which it did not let me do. If I didn't have so much time invested I would have searched for another site. NEVER AGAIN!
Shipping takes longer than stated on their website. Shipping says it will take 6-10 business days to deliver so I ordered it 10 business days in advance to get it in time for the gift date. The estimated ship date said it would come in the 6-10 day window when I placed the order. Turns out it's coming 13 business days later and ruined my gift. So I paid for shipping that did not deliver on time. Great. Just use a different photo service
I ordered 7 photos from their website for a project I was working on. Shipping was far to expensive for a flat package shipped standard delivery. After 12 days the envelope arrived and only one photo was worth saving.
They cropped the photos so much that the main subject was cut in half on two and about a quarter of another one was gone from the photo... huh?
Color and clarity were lacking to say the least. I saved one and dropped the rest in the garbage.

I have ordered from Shutterfly before and it's been ok. This Christmas season was different. When my cards arrived part of a person's head was cut off. I debated a long time before deciding not to send the cards. By then it was too late to reorder. When I contacted Shutterfly I was offered another printing of said cards at no cost to me. It's after Christmas so I opted for a refund of 25% of my original cost-better than nothing but it meant I just threw away $45 of cards I couldn't use. Money down the drain...
I feel like Shutterfly could do better than that on refunds. I won't be using this company again.
Use another site. Quality is average, absolutely no human customer service, and promo codes are a scam. Some owner is sitting in a resort making money off scamming people on this site. My card was 2.75 per card, once I put my 50% off code in, the card price jumped to $4.03! What a waste of time and energy. This should be reported to the better business bureau.

Zero quality control! Ordered a blanket. The first one came and the pictures were improperly cropped. I went back in to their site and repositioned the improperly cropped photos, contacted customer service and they said they'd send me the correct blanket for free. Well the second delivery, the same exact blanket came on time for Christmas but still wrong. So now I don't have a Christmas present for my mom. I contact them again. Let them know they sent me the same one and they need to send me the updated version. They assured me they'd send the new updated one this time. Well so much for their times a charm. The same exact improperly cropped blanket came. Absolutely unbelievable!

Shipment was not delivered on time. When I tracked back using the track number, I noticed it's in final attempt to get delivered as no payment was received by UPS driver. I reached out to Shutterfly helpdesk to understand what is happening as why the package not getting delivered. Shutterfly asking me to contact UPS and find out the payment. Not sure why I should reach out to intermediate person and pay him to get the package delivered when I already paid to shutterfly to take care of it. Not happy with the support and service as they are not taking ownership to get it delivered.
