I didn't know this company, I didn't buy their service, I didn't give them my credit card number I am 79, they charged me 14 months 9.97. This is illegal, they should be prosecuted.
Total scam! When i made some big transaction they shut down my account. There are other free sites with unlimited cash back. Shopsmarter is a total of money and time waste by paying monthly subscrition for nothing. They did not give me a single cent for all my purchases and shopsmarter deposits about $500 which i could easily get from any other cash back sites. Dishonest business. Stay away from shopsmarter.
I was directly by B&B to this website with the impression it's an B&B associated site that offers cash back. However, by putting in some information, I was immediately charged 2 dollar without consent. There is no information about this charge when I signed up. At this point, I realize this is a scam and quickly cancelled the so-called membership which will charge 10 dollars repeatedly later on. I guess Shopsmart's business model is by coxing millions of people unknowingly to pay the 2 dollar trial fee and then 10 dollars later on from those did not cancel. Very very fishy, this is a typical mode of scam. It's kind of unbelievable a renowned store like B&B is involved in this. Don't fall for it! It's just a SCAM!

I signed up to get a $10 rebate on a purchase I made and thought I had to put my card info in to receive the rebate, but nope, it will be mailed to me which would be fine if they didn't also charge me $9.97 a few days later. I wasn't aware that this was a subscription service prior to signing up. If I had known that then I wouldn't have bothered. Also if I'm canceling on the same day or within a week, I should be refunded because that's what more legitimate businesses do but they make it clear on the cancellation page that you won't be getting any *future* charges. Load of bs

I purchased stuff at Bed & Beyond and a message came that I was eligible to save $10. Apparently once you click these shopsmarter starts charging you some stupid fees. Anyhow I was able to quickly cancel it. Be vigilant. Scam!

Total scam... I tried to order 4 cans of Lysol spray@$4.99. They never sent me the product and further charged my apple care over $250 in freight charges. I am in a dispute now with Apple on these charges. Vendor is impossible to get a hold of. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM.

SCAMMERS. Do not use ShopSmarter they will find a way to claim your cashback is not eligible. Don't use them and stick to RAKUTEN, which is consistent, and you won't have any issues. Very sketchy site, sent me an email saying I was approved but would not change it on the site and saying I would get a check (but the amount was subject to change). However, by the time I would have gotten a "check" I would have been charged (2) months and the trial period. When I questioned them they cancelled my account very quickly and said they would refund me. SO I did a lot of work to end up with nothing... DON'T DO THIS! Waste of time, I use to use Rakuten (use to be ebates) and have always had good experiences there!

I got the ad for getting $10 back on my online purchase for Best Buy, so I clicked on it. The offer was for one-time purchase to receive the $10 cashback for that specific purchase, was charged 1.97 at that time and a week later 9.97 and no cash back

Never agreed to any recurring charges! Every month they have charged my cc $9.95 for nothing. My bank charged late fees! They bypassed my bank, so I was unable to see these recurring charges. I am 70 years old. In my opinion they are targeting elderly. Is anybody cooking class action lawsuit to put them out of cheating?

I consider this company to be a scam. I purchased something on BedBath&Beyond, and got a notice on their site saying I'm entitled to $10 off of that purchase. When you click on this offer your directed to this Shop Smater site. It's not until I got right to the end of the offer did I notice this was a paid subscription service and that it would cost $9.95 a month for something I have no clue what I was signing up for. I think BBB should remove this from their site, as I will no longer shop on their website because of this trickery.

I came across this subscription based cash back website about a week ago that claims to give 10% cash back on purchases made through their website. I created an account, signed up to the paid subscription, and then made a large purchase. I received confirmation in the following days that I would be receiving the cash back rewards.
I tried accessing my account today to make another purchase only to find that my account is stated to now not exist. I received no notification about any of this and am shocked at what is happening.
When I called, the representative put me on two long holds and stated that it was the main office that closed the account. There was no explanation provided. She stated that someone would be following up with me soon. I asked about the cash back rewards that I received confirmation for and she did state I would still be receiving it, although I am not too confident as my account does not exist... I am now awaiting for some form of communication, but have not received any emails/phone calls regarding why my account suddenly does not exist or any case number or confirmation of any follow up
It's a SCAM. Stupid for falling for it. STAY AWAY

A $10.00 coupon was offered to after I did a purchase from a reputable company (Bed Bath & Beyond) and the shopersmaort company requested my CC number and instead of crediting my account they started debiting it: $2.00 first they $14.00 then $27 until my bank flagged it. And put a stop to their scam. These are thieves BBB should shut them down before they scam someone else!

I was offered a one time $10 discount at Bed Bath and Beyond on Dec 3/19. At no time did I sign up for a saving membership. But to date I have been charged $84.74 in Canadian dollars because of that $47 purchase I saved $10 on at bed bath and beyond. Both you companies should be ashamed of yourselves for scamming your consumers. No person with 100% understanding would accept this deal as it's a SCAM! I called shop smarter and the first time they hung up. The second person agreed I was duped! I want a $85 refund ASAP. And bed bath and beyond has lost any future business of my family.
