Booked 2 weeks in advance for a removal job received e mail confirmation that booking had been accepted. I was given the driver details and contacted him night before to arrange best place to park etc - turned out he was on holiday and wasn't going to do the job
Called shift that evening who first told me first that the booking system was down then next morning (day of the move) that they had found another driver (who I called and didn't know anything about the job) then apparently booking system was down again then that were still going to find a driver then could I change the day of my move rom London to Scotland - umm No!
Completely incompetent and will lie to you - totally unacceptable service
No one is responsive. I booked and I paid then they once I asked for something they change my booking details. A night before the move the website was down. I emailed them a few times and not heard from them. It looks like it is just automated emails.
We recently needed to move from central London to the NW outskirts. The booking process with Shift was incredibly easy. The driver arrived on time and was most helpful and polite. I would recommend shift for any more any time. V&H - from New Zealand / long resident in London
Second time I've used Shift.
First time the driver turned up an hour outside of the allocated time slot, I was stranded with a sofa during this time.
The second time the driver didn't turn up, he said he cancelled and Shift should have told me, they had no idea. I was promised some money back as I work for myself and had to cancel work for this failed booking but later this was refused. They completed the job the next day. I was then charged for 1.5 hours when only booked (and used) 1 hour and I was charged TWICE.
I was then offered 20% discount for my third booking, complete waste as I would never use or recommend this service again. Extremely disappointed.

Driver called to say he cannot access app for my signature to prove he s done the job!
Waited and waited. Called several times to no avail. Driver Used chat online for help to no avail. Told to send text to say he's done the job which was not agreeable. Had to plan transport privately. Tried calling shifty service but no ans. Money ofcoz is taken from my account without any response from shifty service! Do not trust or use. I feel u safe having given my personal account details over the phone with the hope for a rapid service!
Created booking, they took the money. No drivers accepted the job. No number to call and having an awful time getting a response via email or the bot about a refund. Thats right they have taken the money before a driver accepted the job etc. Shocker avoid at all cost.
DO not waste your time. They give you wrong quotes, then take twice the amount of their invoice from your card. It takes their driver 1.5 hours to make a 20 min journey. I wish I read the reviews before I ordered their van (it is IMPOSSIBLE to cancel their order no matter what you do, they still take the money).

Avoid this company. We looked at a quote for a removal nothing else. They have taken money off my account that they are not due. They have lied and said we booked a service and said someone turned up. I can assure you nobody was at my house! Called to discuss and they changed their story and now told us they charged us money for cancelling! Cancelling what?! When we didn't book a service. Liars and thieves. Police are getting phoned today! This company commits fruad and scams!
I booked shift for today this was pre booked from last week and done it over the phone everything seemed okay and me and partner got all packed checked my email today and said the 8th of September which was completely wrong so phoned them up and got the same news over and over again sorry about this we will relegate another driver which they never done in the end luckly I managed to get another man with van who were so much cheaper and got the job done this company are idiots and scams don't bother using them waste of time
They have taken my payment twice for a job I immediately cancelled when realising they had lied to me. They must be reported and stopped. BAD vile people. They are refusing to give me my money back, even though they have taken payment twice. This must be reported to the Police. Please everyone else report these scammers. The owner is Jacob Corlett.
I booked a removal for 31. 03. 20, I was told a company would be in touch, a week later nothing, sent messages no one answering my question. I know the country is in a lockdown but just an answer would be nice! No customer service what so ever!
Worst company ever. Worked almost one year for them. They owe me £180, are almost two months late. When I call them, they are lie: "The transfer was made, wait 72 hours to see the money in your account." Of coarse, no money in my account. The managers are simply cowards, they don't have the courage to speak to me. Simply, patetic thiefs. Don't work for SHIFT, don'tt contract their services, if you don't want to encourage scums.
I found this service very helpful to move a mattress from my flat to my parents house. I opted for the lesser service I. E load the van mused which I did at my end however when the van arrived at my parents house the driver did help. He was very polite, professional and arrived at the exact time he said he would. The only problem I had was with the online booking system as it quoted the wrong price but I had a call back and then they quoted a very good price. Happy customer.

I purchased a 2015 Nissan Frontier ( 67,000 miles) from Shift in May of 2022, in the summer months. As soon as I received it maybe 2 days later, the battery went dead, so I replaced it. A week later, the new battery went dead, I began to become suspicious about the electrical issues. The truck itself was flawless cosmetically and really wanted to keep it along with two other vehicles I have. I attributed the failed battery to the fact that I did not drive the vehicle frequently. When winter came, I engaged the defroster and it would not work. Who checks the defroster mode in summer, my mistake. So, I'm pretty mechanically inclined, I did a parasitic draw down amperage test and found a draw on the battery requiring it to be charged every week, due to short in defroster circuit.
Long story short, Shift sold me a defective car with electrical issues in the thousands for repairs. Let the buyer beware. My seven day return was non allowable due to time frame of electrical issues. 1 star rating for Shift.
Literally never turned up three separate times and it's not even cheap, missed two days of work due to their incompetence would highly recommend avoiding this company.
Absolutely horrific! Did not send the van i paid for, meaning i had to get help to move the rest of my furniture, damaged caused to items. Have been repeatedly ignored by Shift, its impossible to ring them as they take their money as the move begins & dont answer any telephone number. Ignore emails, their own online dispute resolution, do not follow their own policy & fob you off. I paid £178 for move 1/2 mile away taking 1 hour & 10mins. Van driver got £70. Save your money & get a local man with a van who cares about his customers not like these scammers! OH & THEY ARE ALSO KNOWN AS ANYVAN.
This is the most unprofessional company I've dealt with. They cancelled my booking, which was confirmed all three times with given bank details, 1 hour before the agreed time. The reasoning they gave: "there are no drivers WILLING or AVAILABLE" which is incredibly stupid. Nobody seems to now what they are doing in that company, it is a waste of time and money.

I had a booking which indicated the time range of the delivery will be 7am-6pm, which is reasonable as I expected the delivery driver to at least give me a call or text when at or on the way to the property. Instead I received a call from the manager at 8am to say the delivery driver has been there for an hour. I wasn't even able to arrive at the property! The delivery driver just sat in his van and waited for an hour that I paid for before contacting anyone! Once I contacted customer service I was informed this is a realistic approach of any delivery service, and therefore I will not receive a refund. Completely unprofessional, if they cared about their customers the driver would try and reach me to make sure my delivery is complete and represent the company in a proper way. Therefore afterwards I booked a small local business from gumtree who were 10 times more professional.

At 12:10 received a text saying, we are on the way. So I rush to go to the storage
13:00 - received a text saying will come at 14:00
14:00- received a text we will come at 14:30
14:50- we will come in 15 mins
15:15 - was told car broken down
15:30 - we had to get another method at the end.
This customer service is unbelievable. This company should go bankrupt. GIVE ME MY TIME BACK!

Whilst under the impression that I was making a firm booking, and paying a deposit, it wasn't until afterwards that I realised that I was paying for a request. I immediately cancelled, and have paid only for entering my details. Absolutely no correspondence or refund since. A con for sure
