Kindly avoid booking here. They don't turn up. They lie all the the time that they are sending someone. I had made a booking for moving furniture to our new house on 2nd August evening. I had a flight to catch on 3rd Aug 9:30 pm... Thought I had enough time. Guess what the shift. Online folks said they couldn't find a van on 2nd and they'll send a van early in the morning on 3rd. At 1 pm they said find another driver. I had to make calls and ended up paying more to another service. Don't ever ever trust these guys. They can't find a simple driver... $#*!ty customer service folks lying all the time. Was about to lose £2000. Pathetic service. Bunch of liars. I have proof of their mails..
The driver will lie & lie & lie & then tell you his car broke down. 1-2pm slot and by 3:30pm nobody was answerinng my calls/texts anymore so i had to get a drive now... The worst company in the world, leaves you to contemplate whether we have lost all respect for each other.
I would give them 0 starts as well, but oh well. I have had a click and collect with them at one of their lockers. Pretty expensive order. I arrived there, middle of nowhere and the stacked shift lockers I was assigned with the codes and everything were empty. The quality of the lockers is pretty bad, you can push floors and ceilings and just peak a boo into other people's stuff - quite dangerous and unreliable. I called them as my retailer told me to discuss my missing order with SHIFT first. I go to the retailer's shop and talk to a shift representative sitting in the retailer's shop because otherwise, you can't reach a human to their online customer support. This representative was talking to customer support through an app and had someone call me 'asap', but I waited 2 hours. This person from shift customer support said he was checking with all drivers to see where my order was, cause the driver probably left it in the wrong locker. Never comes back to me, so i asked the representative to try to ping his colleague again - after 3 hours of waiting he tells me his colleague logged off so someone else will call. Now after another 2 h of waiting another guy called and this times, he promised he would arrange home delivery in the evening or a full refund and he will send a confirmation email after we closed the call. Never happened. Fast forward 3 days later and other emails i sent them ( as I didn't go back to the shop where the representative worked, and there is no way to talk to any human over the phone by just calling their 'customer support') they never came back to me- the order was lost - and I was very close to losing the money too as my order showed as collected as I opened the empty lockers. Please avoid click-and-collect with shift, it seems like they don't have manners, they're understaffed and horrible with anything customer support related. I wasted my whole Saturday then, with a lot of emotional distress, and they never came back with my things or the refund. After the main retailer understood what was happening Sunday they put in a refund for some of the things in the order. Please avoid shift for your mental health.
Don't use. Lazy and brutish people. They broke my furniture. Save yourself some hassle and go with a reputable company, these guys are the leftovers that can't find decent jobs elsewhere.

Phoned me up after I went to one of those removals broker sites (I'd never seen their website) and their sales rep said I was getting a van and driver help. Email confirmation said van and no driver help. I immediately got in touch with their customer service who refused to honour the original promised service for the price it was offered at, so I opted to cancel. They then said they were charging me the FULL AMOUNT even though I cancelled within 30 minutes of the original booking and FOUR DAYS before any removals were set to take place. They have repeatedly refused to refund me.
These scam artists traded as "VAN PLUS" then changed their name to "SHIFT". Under no circumstances give them your credit card, they are crooks. Everyone who has been ripped off by them should report them to Trading Standards or the Police, and tell your bank if they refuse to refund you.
Company should close advertising a food delivery service taking peoples money then failed to deliver 3 times, never even called to see how vulnerable I was, obviously I am ordering food delivery as I am vulnerable and this firm has now left me without food for up to 2 weeks DO NOT USE they may kill you
The worst service experience I have had in my life
Firstly, the driver assigned to my move was extremely rude from the moment he arrived. Very unhygienic and smoking cigarettes constantly. He had an extremely unprofessional attitude. He was confrontational and argumentative, particularly regarding the number of floors involved in the collection. He mentioned that I have to mention the number of stairs and not the level of my flat, Although on the website it mentions level. He also mentioned that I didnt input that there was no lift. Which was also false as I did mention. He insisted that the complications were "99% my fault," very condescending and implied that I tried to trick the system so that i dont get charged more. When checking the booking he found that what i said was true, and still insisted it was my fault
Additionally, one of my items was not delivered at all, it is still in my collection address. Not only was it not delivered. It was broken during the collection process.
To make matters worse, some of the items that were delivered sustained noticeable scratches and damage in addition to damage to the walls of the apartment.
On top of all this, Shift have absolutely zero customer support, they hide their terms and conditions, and all they say is they are not liable for any damages, and they ask you to contact the driver, who in the first place is argumentative and unreasonable.
Shift have no contact number on their website, and when you send emails, they reply with automated replies and provide no help or support whatsoever. Ive yet to hear any response from them.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, STAY FAR AWAY. You're better off paying a bit extra for a better service. They are scammers, you're not only throwing your money away, but also your furniture and appliances
This was the worst company I have ever had any dealings with! The movers negotiated with my pregnant wife what they wanted to take instead of sticking to the items requested on the website. They made her move stuff, spoke to her terribly and broke the lift in the new place we had moved to (which incurred a fine). They washed their face in the new kitchen (during COVID). They broke and damaged multiple items (some memory items that they were told to be careful with). I would have rather done it myself! The main reason I got movers was so because I couldn't be there to help and so my pregnant wife didn't need to do anything. I've tried multiple times and submitted emails and reported problems on the website and I haven't heard a thing from the company! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! GO LOCAL!
I had a bad experience with this company where I ended up cancelling with them the night before I was moving home as the stress was not worth it - I had to try to contact them repeatedly as they could not get anything right, including allocating the job to a driver who doesn't do removals (?!)
After posting on Trust Pilot they got in contact with me - they told me they would give me a full refund if I took down my review (what reputable company does that?) To date, they refunded the initial charge, but the additional £60 for an additional driver (one they did not allocate, which was one of the many stresses I had before I cancelled the job) left my account separately - after the refund even - and this is still owed.
Reading the reviews on here makes me even more concerned so I am keeping a regular eye on my account. I would advise others to not get involved with this company and certainly not hand over card details as it is not worth the hassle. If unauthorised payments are taken from your account though then you can report them as fraudulent, as my bank has assured me.
Also, it should be noted that they have lots of 5 star reviews posted at the same time - all being loose variations of the same using the same poor English. Don't be fooled!

Received an SMS with link to driver tracker. Driver failed to arrive in 2 hour window. Contact driver code doesn't work. Reported to CHAT BOT that code doesn't work - that takes you to an errror message. Left a message on customer support doubt that will lead to anything given the reviews. Off to report this as a SCAM to my credit card company.
5 messages left on their 'report a problem' interface in the hour following the NO SHOW of their driver.
5 SMS messages stating the ops team would look into it.
ZERO replies ZERO driver.

As a booking agent for independent man and van services we connect customers to providers. Unfortunately on this basis the provider did not arrive to complete the booking. Whilst we take every step possible to avoid this happening unfortunately sometimes it does. As such when you book using credit or debit card, we only preauthorise the amount. As the service was not completed the preauthorisation was released back into your account and no charge was made.

Booked a removal for 3 items of furniture to be taken to the tip (all items on the ground floor and tip is 5 minutes drive away).
Received a quote on the phone 7 days before the removal date, paid on the phone and received a confirmation.
The evening before the move date, received a text to contact them asap. Of course they were closed by the time we were able to contact them so spoke to them at 9am on the day of the move to be told the quote was wrong and we should pay DOUBLE the price if we want the service!
Of course, cancelled or our order and now have to wait for a refund to book someone else.
Left stranded with all our items at no notice at all, the least they could have done would have been to honour the quote THEY GOT WRONG!

I waited for 3 hours for drivers who never showed up. The company help line never responded. But they still charged 50 pounds. It is a fraud, please be carreful
THEY WILL TELL YOU YOU WON'T BE CHARGED UNTIL THE SERVICE IS DONE BUT YOU ARE CHARGED ONCE YOU put down your card info and you can't cancel (they will still charge you). They assigned a driver to me who told me he is not working for shift anymore. I called them and nobody replied. I was cheated the money.
A SHIFT driver departing a job at a neighbours house managed to put a 3 inch long dent in my car bonnet with his van door.
My neighbour tells me that the driver would have noticed this happening because he struggled to shut his own door, which was at that stage jammed onto the top of my bonnet.
The neighbour gave me the drivers first name and a contact number. The contact number turns out to be a temporary number translation only valid on the day of the job, so useless now.
No complaint form or contact phone number on SHIFT website (usually a pretty clear sign that they're not interested when things go wrong).
Initially contacted the SHIFT through Facebook but but received no reply. Tried contacting SHIFT CEO on Facebook - nothing, I've also contacted them by email and received no reply in 8 days.
SHIFT don't seem interested in helping me contact the driver, and put the situation right.
SHIFT were however very quick to get my review taken down from some websites, for including the name of their CEO - so that doesn't appear here!
I really wonder how many of these drivers have any kind of insurance that is valid for commercial use.
Are SHIFT even vetting for drivers for that?
Who is liable if your goods are damaged in transit?

This is my first time using Shift to moves my stuffs. The team is very efficient and quick doing their job. My stuffs arrived at time without any damages. Its 4.5/5 from me.

Answer: Impossible because there is no customer helpline on the their website. It's simply inconceivable that such a company is allowed to operate in the UK considering the awful way it treats paying customers.
