Horrible, I ordered some boots, they took out the money said the boots were in route, 8 days later they try to take more money out. I called canceled the order, they refunded the money, they sent the boots anyway, I sent them back, then yesterday, they took the money out again, they act like they can just access my account whenever they want, horrible, horrible, horrible
Great scam! Avoid Shepler's like the plague. I paid 40+ bucks for a hat that I couldn't exchange because there was one available. Not just one size–one of that item, TOTAL. So my refund was half of what I paid at the start. What a complete and utter waste of time and money.
I've been a SHEPLERS customer for >40 years both with their Denver stores (no longer here) and on-line. My last two transactions were nightmares and from what I'm now reading, by others, they were mild by comparison. I can't imagine them staying in business much longer, SAD!
I had 2 items ordered. 1 came in like it should. The other was shipped out on 9-16 and was stalled in TN on the 19th today's the 29th and I just received it. After calling multiple times to find out what happened to my package. They had every excuse as to why no supervisor was available to talk to me or that disclaimers said this or that when it didn't. The whole call was to let them know for 9 days my package didn't move and they needed to find out why for some reason it is all a standard thing for it to take so long for me to receive it? Never have I been told that one before oh and thank goodness it wasn't breakable because my box was smashed and 10 layers of tape added to one side.
I returned a pair of boots to them and it seriously took two months for me to reicieve my money back! If I would not have kept calling I would have never received it. The tracking number shows they received them on 2/5 and my money wasn't returned back to me until 3/24! And they charged me for shipping after promising it would be free. I just called about the ten dollar shipping cost and I'm sure it will probably take another two months to get a refund! I could seriously care less about ten dollars but it's about the principal of the fact! I am 100% sure if I wasn't constantly checking my bank account I would have never seen my 700$ again. They will never get another dollar from me! And to top it off not one person tried to make it right!
Do not trust the Sheplers shopping cart. Three times in a row my purchase has failed and cash in my bank account is frozen due to false "pending authorizations". I could be using this money to buy stuff from another store. SHAME ON YOU SHEPLERS.
I sure wish I had read the reviews before ordering my husbands hat for Christmas 2015! I was told I could exchange the hat if I had determined the wrong size. What a joke! I returned the hat and called and called! Each time I was promised the new size was on the way. That became a repeated bunch of lies. Finally after months of waiting they refunded me and told me the item was discontinued. I agree DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!
I ordered some work boots in October. I waited and waited for the shipping information to be emailed to me. When I finally received an email, it said that the boots would not be available until January of 2015. I needed the boots quickly for work, so I called the company and canceled my order. I was told that my credit card wouldn't be charged since they had not shipped. A few weeks later I find out that they did indeed charge my credit card. I called again and was told that they shipped them out. They told me to send them back and they would credit my credit card. I have never received the boots.
So after reading all of these Reviews on how terrible this site is, I was really second guessing my purchase from them, but they had the best price on the boots I wanted to buy compared to here in Canada. And I must say I am not disappointed whatsoever in their service and shipping, I had ordered these boots Monday evening shipped them overnight air and got them Wednesday morning. I had called their customer service line to confirm my order because there was no way of verifying this on their website do to the fact that I was not logged in when I purchased the boots ( which is really the only negative I have), the customer service rep I had was great he told me when my order was processed and when I was going to get it.
All in all I would buy from this site again.
Purchased a Twister Straw Cowboy Hat. Delivery OK, however when i opened the box and removed the hat it had a hole in the weave and the hat was a size to big. ( Size not Sheplers problem). Obviously the quality control by Twister is out to lunch however Sheplers should never have sent it out in the first place. I take a 7 1/8" hat in a Resistol or Master Hatters and that's what I ordered in the Twister so don't buy a Twister based on their sizing or you will be very disappointed.
This company is a fraud. I ordered a bedding set for my son was told it would be here before Xmas 4 days before Xmas it still hadn't arrived. I called and they said it now wouldn't arrive in time, I cancelled my order 2 weeks after Xmas I get an email my card was declined the amount. I called to figure out why they where even trying to charge me at that point the order was canceled. They acted like it must of been a mistake. 2 weeks later a package shows up on my pourch. I call once again and ask why they sent it. They told me to ship it back with their label. I did a week after returning/Shipping package they charged my account and are telling me they company that does returns is behind and it will be a couple more weeks to receive my refund
Don't trust website for items in stock. FALSE ADVERTISING ALL OVER. Cust. Service lacks understanding and while they eventually refunded money for Items I never received it was not easy or pleasant. Take your money elsewhere!
Ordered boots 12/11 was told online they shipped the next business day. On the 15th I received an email stating they were back ordered and not available till 1/15. I called to cancel & was told his was incorrect. I bought a replacement pair & called the next day to cancel and was told it would be. Received an email 12/19 saying too bad we can't cancel and you are being charged. I called and let them know this was not acceptable! They said they received word on the 16th that it was already on its way out and therefore they couldn't cancel so I asked for the tracking which could not be provided. They told me they would still be charging me anyway... I have since called back several times demanding some information which NO ONE can give me
My wife ordered me Ariat boots for Christmas, sent them back Dec 29th for exchange of size. They have not yet even processed the exchange yet and there customer service on the phone SUCKS BAD. I would rather pay more than ever deal w/ this company again.
Ordered boots and jeans for Christmas. Ordered Dec 3rd. Told after being on hold for 30 minutes they would be here by Christmas... today on hold for 40 minutes and told they will be here on Dec 26th. So mad! They dont care. TERRIBLE
I placed an order for a pair of boots around 7pm on 9/25. After placing the order I found I different pair I liked and tried canceling it online but i could not find anywhere on the website that would let me cancel the order. I called them as soon as they opened the next morning to try and cancel the order and they said I couldn't because it was in the process of shipping. I asked when it was supposed to ship and she said on Monday. I again asked why I couldn't cancel since I had just place the order the night before and the lady did not have an answer. I again tried calling in Monday to cancel and they refused and said it was still in process of shipping. I will never buy another pair of boots from Shepherd again.
I had order items from Shepler. It didn't indicate that it couldn't deliver to a Box number. They took my funds and sent off with DHL. They didn't provide DHL with my contact information and when DHl asked if they could get that information or return to Shepler to refund me, Shepler notified them to destroy package. However Shepler kept my money! I've emailed twice and only received unempathetic emails that refuse to make this situation correct.
Ordered some boots on December 6,2018, i called hoping they would be here by Christmas. It is now January 15,2019 and stil no boots. I tried to cancel back in December but they said the order was pending, they were sorry but it could not be canceled. If they didn't have the size in stock, I shouldn't have been able to order in the first place.
Got a confirmation yesterday saying they have shipped, not even going to open them. I will be shipping them back as soon as they get here.
I wish I would have read the reviews before I even ordered them in the first place.
Was not notified of an item I would not be receiving- until I had to call to inquire-tried 5 times via email to inquire re poor service - still so apology- week at least later- they tell you inquiry will be processed in 24-48 hrs- you can forget about that- stick with Country Outfitters- never disappointed-they def' have problems at Sheplers
Horrible people. Had to file claims with bank for refund. Dont close the account and then ship after you cancel. I am calling the Postal inspector for mail fraud.
Answer: I think ur probably better off buying thick wool socks that's what I did when I got the wrong size from here I just bought some big wool socks and now they fit great.
